RE: Unnatural links from your site
Thank you very much Marie to notice my question. I'm your big fan on internet and reading your all the articles. Mostly I recovered websites from other type of Google penalties because just reading your articles on all platforms. But I'm just fail in this case.
My blog is metalaqua dot com. I did hard work on this to increase domain authority but lost page rank and home page is not index. Already removed lots of backlinks and some website added in Google disavow tool.
Yes, I'm accepting guest posts on my blog some time. because I don't have time for write articles. But last 4 months I'm not accepting more guest posts. Already I've removed all the outbound links and apply 3 times for reconsideration but fail.
Now I don't know what can I do next step that's the way I put this question on Moz. I hope you can teach me how to recover "Unnatural links from your site" penalty from Google.
Again thanks and waiting for your response.

Unnatural links from your site
Hi,
24 February got this penalty message in Google webmaster tool.
Google detected a pattern of unnatural, artificial, deceptive, or manipulative outbound links on pages on this site. This may be the result of selling links that pass PageRank or participating in link schemes.
Already removed all the link on the blog and sent reconsideration request to Google spam team. But request is rejected. Please help me on this or share link with me on same case.
Thanks,

RE: Issue: Duplicate Page Content
Thanks for your response. I've forget to mention one more thing in my question. I've same properties in main and sub domain. Example
Here is one property on main page.
http://www.website.com/the-mayflower/
and now same property on sub domain for availability.
http://availability.website.com/property.php?id=1
Maybe I'm facing duplicate page content and title issue for this reason. Can I block subdomain for search engine crawl?

RE: Directories for backlinks
Hi Peter Allen,
Answer By Marie Haynes from http://www.seomoz.org/q/are-links-from-directories-good-or-bad
When I'm deciding on submitting to directories I ask myself one of the questions from the quality guidelines: would I be doing this if search engines didn't exist?
I submit my sites to local directories that make sense for the site and could drive traffic. I completely avoid directories that are made for SEO purposes.
I'm also careful not to overdo it. Anything done in excess can cause Google to look on your link building with suspicion. I also avoid using keyword anchor text and prefer to link from directories using my URL.
A recent unnatural links recovery client of mine got their warning mostly because of directory links. The quality guidelines, under "link schemes" tells us to avoid "Low-quality directory or bookmark site links". The question is, however, what is "low quality"? If you feel that you are ranking because of links from directories created just for SEO purposes I would guess that this ranking will eventually die and could even be penalized.
I have a theory that Google created the disavow tool to help them find all of the low quality pages and devalue them, or even worse, penalize sites that have used them. My thought is that if a large number of sites choose to disavow www.exampledirectory.com then Google takes a look at that site and determines whether it is a site made just to boost the PR of other sites. If so, then they likely deindex it. A few months ago Google deindexed a pile of directories, but there are LOTS of them out there that, in my opinion will soon be gone.
Personally, I wouldn't risk a client's site on this tactic unless they had full knowledge of the potential risk involved.

RE: How many time should a keyword be used in the body of text?
When a user types in a search, Google typically relies on HTML elements to match the content on your site to that specific query. Without optimizing key HTML elements (title, body content, headers etc..), you won't be able to rank, it's as simple as that.
For now, the following diagram should help explain the basics of which elements need keyword research attention:
The "Perfectly" Optimized Page(for the example keyword phrase "chocolate donuts")
Page Title: Chocolate Donuts | Mary's Bakery
Meta Description: Mary's Bakery's chocolate donuts are possibly the mostdelicious, perfectly formed, flawlessly chocolately donuts ever made.
H1 Headline:Chocolate Donuts form Mary's Bakery
Image File name: Body Text________________________
cocolate-donuts.jpg chocolate donuts__ ____________________________________ donuts ____________________________________ ____________________________________ chocolate donuts ____________________________________ __________________________________________________________ donuts____ __________________________________________________________ chocolate__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ chocolate donuts________________ __________________________________________________________ _____________________________chocolate __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________ ________________________chocolate donuts __________________________________________________________ Page URL: http://marysbakery.com/chocolate-donuts Ultimately you want to attract visitors who are going to convert into customers, if you can identify keywords which will lead to more conversions, you are more likely to see a good ROI.
Google in particular is becoming much more advanced at predicting the intent of searchers. For example, if you search for "apple," are you looking for the fruit or the technology company? Through a lot of user testing and machine learning, Google has determined that its users are probably looking for the technology company. Hence Apple's #1 position on Google.
While you do not have much control over this, user intention should be a priority when you are choosing and filtering your keywords. You want to be targeting keywords where the intention is likely to lead to a conversion for your business.

RE: What is keyword difficulty
Keyword difficulty identifies how difficult it would be to rank well for a particular keyword. and the value is higher for more popular words because it will be more difficult to compete with 1,000s of other sites for a popular word than with 10s of others for the less popular ones.

RE: High PR Profile backlinks
Forum profile links are generally not good at linking directly to your site. However you can use forum profile links to build backlinks to your backlinks which will help index your links and give them a boost.
I have found that some high page rank profile links can still be useful to link directly to your site like high page rank web 2.0 profiles or niche related high <acronym title="Google PageRank">pr</acronym> profile links. But blasting a bunch of spammy profile links directly at your site will not work and may even hurt your site.

Link Building the Right Way?
There are still a few things that I need clarifications for link building. I have joined many forums and I am following some big website (Seomoz / search engine watch / search engine land) and such for ideas about link building.
There are various different suggestions among them for example about Create a blog, Profile links, Article directories,Web 2.0 submission,Press release submission, Infographic submissions,Company directory submissions,Video submissions,Niche specific directories,Logo/Graphic/Web design directories,Free web directories,Non-English directories,RSS directories,Guest posting,Games Submission's and social bookmarking, Blog commenting, Forum posting.Q&A,Wiki Links,Local listings,Getting trackbacks. one would say to use it the other would say not to, can you please guide as to what is the right way to follow these suggestions.
Also nofollow backlinks have any effect on the SERP?
Thanks.

RE: Duplicate Page Content Problem
Hi Hamouda,
I checked your blog. You are already using Yoast's WordPress SEO plugin.
Duplicate Content in Wordpress is often caused by:
- Category Archives
- Date Based Archives
- Tag Archives
If these are creating pages that are very similar (mostly empty or repeating pages) you may want to stop search robots from indexing these pages. The Wordpress SEO plugin can help with that under the "indexation" tab. You can check the boxes to disable indexation of these categories - but be careful! You don't want to block something accidentally. This is a very powerful tool, so use it wisely.
Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about - https://skitch.com/cyrusshepard/8et13/indexation-above-the-fold-wordpress
Hope this helps. Best of luck!
