ok for starters: if i scan socialhero.com with my tools I only get 4 pages returned. With the index being duplicated even. So something is going wrong here.
The 404 error is probably induced by a page linking to a non existing page and returning server code 404. You should follow the links on the site untill you find the problem. Or you can use a sitemap tool that also tells you where are the links are going to and coming from.
The 302 redirects do present a problem. There are 2 different way's of redirecting information. 301 is a permanent version and that one also passes linkjuice, authority and all other things. 302 has been reseached and tested by some of the biggest names in the SEO world and passes on almost no linkjuice/authority. Use a .htaccess file to redirect the pages to the correct location.
The 92 missing meta description tags I would also solve as quickly as possible. Although there is no direct correlation between higher rankings and meta-description tags there is an indirect correlation between the two. As you may know Meta Description tags are used by the seach engines to show up in SERPS and telling the searcher some information about your page/site. Using this information correctly you can influence the searcher a bit by making your description look enticing of irresistible. By doing so your CTR (Click through Rate) will go up and Google measures CTR. Higher CTR in combination with more time spend on the page equals to a great page. Why else would the searcher click on it and stay on the site?
Those factors are known to be used by Google to determine rankings. So that is the indirect link between descriptions and higher rankings.
96 notices about rel=canonical all depends on how they are used. If there is only one canonical tag in the entire site (for instance every page tells the search engine that your homepage is the original one, you're in trouble). So check that one out to but I wouldn't spend to much time on it.
As for some learning material:
MOZ.com beginners guide to SEO is a great way to start. If you manage everything in there you can move along.
http://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seoanother great resource are the Youmoz and Moz blog on this site. I spend more then 1000 hours on there resources alone to learn more about the subject. So if you really want to be a great SEO/Inbound Marketeer/Web Marketeer be prepared to do the same.
Hope this helps you out some.
oh yes the book by Danny Dover is also very usefull:

Hi, I typically prioritize Errors and then Warnings. Tracking down and fixing the issue with the 404 is hopefully pretty straightforward. Fixing the 302 is tedious work, but necessary. Fixing redirects is addressed at your server/Cpanel level. Adding information to your missing meta description tags could be helpful to your SERP. A quick reference to this issue is located here: http://moz.com/learn/seo/meta-description Regarding a reference, there are volumes of information (as you are experiencing). You may consider SEO 2013 by Dr. Andy Williams. It's a quick read and provides a fairly high level overview of the main items to consider. You'll want to cross reference this, but it provides some insight. Best of Luck.

first thank you for your quick response , im using wordpress with woocomerce and for seo im using se wordpress by yoast and this is my site socialhero.com
the only error is 4XX (Client Error) and the statue code is 404 (404 : UserPreemptionError)
the warning are 151 : 59 are about "Temporary Redirect" and the redirect type for all this warning are 302
the other 92 warning are about "Missing Meta Description Tag"
the other 96 notices are about "Rel Canonical"

Dear Medlife,
telling you how to fix all the problems would not be very easy. For starters we would have to know what website it is concerning, we would have to know what errors, warnings and notices you are receiving and many more things.
It also depends a lot on the errors/warnings and notices you are getting. To many on page links is not as bad as 200 missing meta descriptions or even worse 200 duplicate title tags. Without any extra information it will be very hard to help you. Besides in Moz at your campaign settings you can find on-page reports. Just keep digging into it.
Starters have to read a lot (I know i did) and have to try out a lot. If you can give me/us a better insight in all the problems you are having maybe i can do something for you.
regards
Jarno

How do I fix 5xx errors on pdf's?
Hi all, I'm having a huge (and very frustrating) issue-- I have 437 pages with 5xx errors and have no idea how to go about fixing them. All of them are links to pdf's, and when I click on the link on the Site Crawl page, it opens just fine. I've been trying to find the answer to how to fix this issue for weeks with no luck at all. I tried linking the pdf's to their parent page, tried renaming the links to be more concise and crawler friendly, and I've searched all types of articles involving pdf's and 5xx errors, all with no luck. Does anyone have any idea why these pages are getting this error and how I can fix them? Huge thanks in advance! Daniela S.

Crawl Diagnostics - Crawling way more pages than my site has?
Hello all, I'm fairly new here, more of a paid search guy dabbling in SEO on the side. I have a client that I have in SEOMoz and the Crawl Diagnostics report is showing 10,000+ pages crawled and I think the site has at most 800 pages (e-commerce site using freewebstore.org as the platform). Any reasons this would be happening?

Has any on else experienced a spike in crawl errors?
Hi, Since the last time our sites were crawled in SEOmoz they are all showing a spike in Errors. (Mainly duplicate page titles and duplicate content). We haven't changed anything to the structure of the sites but they are all using the same content management system. The image is an example of what we are witnessing for all our sites based on the same system. Is anyone else experiencing anything similar? or does anyone know of any changes that SEOmoz has implemented which may be affecting this? Thanks in advance, Anthony. WzdQV WzdQV WzdQV.jpg WzdQV.jpg

Who wants to help go over my crawl diagnostics via skype?
I have run a crawl diagnostic on my site and have 194 errors and most of them are 404 errors in wordpress. Not sure why, but many of my pages had name changes (possibly a permalinks issue) but I have no idea how to fix it. I had 5 duplicate page titles, and 1 tile missing or empty. 72 crawl notices found (2 permanent redirect, 17 blocked by robots, 53 rel canonical) 19 Crawl warnings were found Who wants to have some fun?

Initiate crawl
Anyway to start the crawl of a site immediately after changes have been made? Or must you wait for the next scheduled crawl? Thanks.

How do I fix a duplicate content error with a top level domain?
Hi, I'm getting a duplicate content error from the SEOmoz crawler due to an issue with trailing slashes. It's showing www.milengo.com and www.milengo.com/ as having duplicate page titles. However I'm pretty sure this has been fixed in the .htaccess file since if you type in the domain with a trailing slash it automatically redirects to the domain without a trailing slash, so this shouldn't be an issue. I'm stuck here. Any ideas? Thanks. Rob

Can I exclude pages from my Crawl Diagnostics?
Right now my crawl diagnostic information is being skewed because it's including the onsite search from my website. Is there a way to remove certain pages like search from the errors and warnings of the crawl diagnostic? My search pages are coming up as: Long URL Title Element Too Long Missing Meta Description Blocked by meta-robots (Which is how I want it) Rel Canonical Here is what the crawl diagnostic thinks my page URL looks like: website.com/search/gutter%25252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525 252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252 525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525 252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252 52525252525252525252525252525252525252525252525252Bcleaning/ Thank you, Jonathan
