SEOMoz Campaigns: Bulk management / deletion of keywords?
-
For the SEOMoz campaign tool, how do you manage / delete / export keywords in bulk? We have several hundred keywords and need to delete some efficiently from a campaign.
I see how you can delete words from one page of the list, but is there a way to combine the keywords with ranking or traffic data to stack-rank, and than delete the "least valuable"? Tough to manage in bulk

Hey Sha,
Is there any way to bulk add labels when adding keywords ie Keyword 1 (label 1) when pasting keywords. this would be awesome because I want to see avg mth search vol from adwords in the label. I used to do it with moz and forgot how maybe I just did it manually..

Hi,
You can certainly export all of the keywords in your campaign in a single csv file, select keywords using the usual "check the box" system to delete and also bulk add keywords to a campaign.
To export all of the keywords loaded in your campaign, go to the Rankings Screen, change the selector at the top right of the Rankings Report from pdf to csv and click export. You can now open the file in Excel and the first column of the report is your entire keyword list.
To bulk add keywords to your campaign, click Manage Keywords from the Campaign Overview OR Click the Add/Manage Keywords button on the Rankings screen.
You can paste a list into the input field. Keywords can be separated by comma, tab or new line. If you have the keywords in an excel list (maybe exported from Analytics or similar), just copy the keywords from the column and paste.
The one that will be most onerous if you have hundreds of terms is deleting, as terms are listed alphabetically, so you need to work through the list and check the boxes for each before clicking the red Delete Keywords button.
You will find the delete option in Manage Keywords also (below the input to add keywords). If by chance the keywords you want to delete happen to have labels assigned to them, you can use the selector at the top of the screen to choose only keywords with those labels, which would make choosing the checkboxes a little easier.
Hope that helps,
Sha

Authority from Linking Root Domains: youtube.com / wikipedia.org / adobe.com
Hi there, Presently doing competitor analysis and note two competitors who have a way higher 'moz domain authority' than my client. Using moz tools I notice their top 5 linking root domains all have a score of 100. Refer to screen shot. Of note, both list youtube.com and _wikipedia.org. _ Similarly, my client's domain is ALSO linked from their user profile on youtube.com. They also have a published wiki page with their URL linked. BUT, youtube.com or wikipedia.org are not listed in their "top 5 linking root domains". Their highest scoring linking root domain is prweb.com - with a score of 97. If my client has links on these top domains why would they not be listed in my client's top five domains list like they are listed in their competitors top five? Researching for reasons I came across this old post (2009) here - http://moz.com/blog/followed-links-from-four-unexpected-sources - and wonder if the competitor's links are 'followed' links - even though all resources suggest wiki and youtube are definitely 'no follow' links? Other interesting "Top 5" domains that are listed for my competitors as top "linking root domains" are microsoft.com, adobe.com and europa.eu - again, refer to screenshot. Questions are IF these top linking root domains are in fact 'followed' links/valuable links and help with domain authority scores calculated by the moz tool then 1) HOW do I get these links to show/provide the same value? AND 2) How are my competitors, who are simply travel products, getting links from top domains like adobe.com? I do hope all the above makes sense and that I'm using/interpreting the moz comparative tool correctly! Cheers iGe864i.jpg?1

Keyword Difficulty Score Not Available
What exactly does this mean? That the service is down? Or the score will never be available? It seems like I get that and then the tool gets stuck and I get no other data.

Does the page authority data also considers the on page factors like the presence of keyword in the title, meta text, and keyword frequency ??
The moz difficulty score considers four factors for the top websites. are the on page factors included in the page authority data ?

Keyword tool: SEOMOZ spacific month ? vs adword tool 12 month average but same data ???
Running a keyword analysis in SEOMOZ it shows my the folowing information "Local Search Volume (Dec)". I compared the data for the specific country , language and keyword with the adwords keyword tool and it exactly showed me the same numbers. The adwords keyword tool shows: "Local Monthly Searches: This column shows the approximate 12-month average number of search terms matching each keyword" http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=25148 So if the numbers are the same in google keword tool and SEOMOZ why is SEOMOZ saying that for a specif month? If the data is the same one of both can not be right or probaly I didn't get the point. See screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/GyaaW7EkwV Thanks for help

SEOmoz Crawl CSV in Excel: already split by semicolon. Is this Excel's fault or SEOmoz's?
If for example a page title contains a ë the .csv created by the SEOmoz Crawl Test is already split into columns on that point, even though I haven't used Excel's text to columns yet. When I try to do the latter, Excel warns me that I'm overwriting non-empty cells, which of course is something I would rather not do since that would make me lose valuable data. My question is: is this something caused by opening the .csv in Excel, or earlier in the process when this .csv is created?
