Duplicate Page Content but where?
-
Hi All
Moz is telling me I have duplicate page content and sure enough the PA MR mT are all 0 but it doesnt give me a link to this content!
This is the page:
http://www.orsgroup.com/index.php?page=Scanning-services
But I cant find where the duplicate content is other than on our own youtube page which I will get removed here:

Can anyone help please?

Sorted(I think) used screaming frog and identified a few caps issues, all looks ok now
Thanks for all the help

HI,
Put your site though screaming frog and it shows you are linking to that page in a couple of places with a lower case s 'scanning-services', I would think that is the issue that the crawl is flagging. Screaming frog mentions 3 instances of the lower case link so perhaps the sitemap was one and a couple of others hidden away in the page texts somewhere? Find and correct those capitalization mismatches and you should be good!

The page is listed in my sitemap.xml twice, I have no idea why! But I think that is where its getting it from.....
Probably just manually edit the sitemap and remove the 2nd entry?

Hi,
I am pretty sure moz only flags duplicate content on your own site and you should be able to find out what page it is referring to by downloading the csv of your crawl data, filter for duplicate content = true in the relevant column and then look on the far right hand side, the 'duplicate page content 2' column should give you the other page that is flagging this.

That is a good idea for improvement. Go here and suggest it!

Thanks Andy - Its hard to tell if Moz is saying "theres a page on your domain" that is a problem or just generally there is a page out there on the web that is a problem. Seems daft if they know about it, why not tell me on the report?
Actually Moz - take note - good improvement could be made here !

Copyscape throws the same up as you have there - your YouTube page.
Perhaps consider a revision of this on YouTube?

Does having no content on a mobile page have effect on the ranking.
We are about to go live with a mobile version of our webshop, mobile users will be shown an alternative version of the desktop page. At the moment we have little to no content on the mobile pages; how will this effect our ranking? (desktop and mobile page have the same URL and meta, only the "body" is different)

Duplicate Page Content and Titles from Weebly Blog
Anyone familiar with Weebly that can offer some suggestions? I ran a crawl diagnostics on my site and have some high priority issues that appear to stem from Weebly Blog posts. There are several of them and it appears that the post is being counted as "page content" on the main blog feed and then again when it is tagged to a category. I hope this makes sense, I am new to SEO and this is really confusing. Thanks!

How different does content need to be to avoid a duplicate content penalty?
I'm implementing landing pages that are optimized for specific keywords. Some of them are substantially the same as another page (perhaps 10-15 words different). Are the landing pages likely to be identified by search engines as duplicate content? How different do two pages need to be to avoid the duplicate penalty?

132 pages reported as having Duplicate Page Content but I'm not sure where to go to fix the problems?
I am seeing “Duplicate Page Content” coming up in our
Technical SEO | | danatanseo
reports on SEOMOZ.org Here’s an example: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/williams-sound-ppa-r35-e http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/aphex-230-master-voice-channel-processor http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/AT-AE4100.prod These three pages are for completely unrelated products.
They are returning “200” status codes, but are being identified as having
duplicate page content. It appears these are all going to the home page, but it’s
an odd version of the home page because there’s no title. I would understand if these pages 301-redirected to the home page if they were obsolete products, but it's not a 301-redirect. The referring page is
listed as: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/cd-duplicators None of the 3 links in question appear anywhere on that page. It's puzzling. We have 132 of these. Can anyone help me figure out
why this is happening and how best to fix it? Thanks!0 -

Duplicate content
Greetings! I have inherited a problem that I am not sure how to fix. The website I am working on had a 302 redirect from its original home url (with all the link juice) to a newly designed page (with no real link juice). When the 302 redirect was removed, a duplicate content problem remained, since the new page had already been indexed by google. What is the best way to handle duplicate content? Thanks!
