Where the "fudge-nuggets" are my internal links?

Ok, so... Google Webmaster Tools Internal Links are not showing any links to my site's homepage.
I only link to the homepage by wrapping the logo with the link throughout the site. Does Google need these to be text links to show them?

Yeah, I'd say you need to wait and see now, since you've added a different type of link (text, absolute link rather than a relative one as is used in the logo). The home page links using the logo are fairly buried in the body of the HTML but that really shouldn't make a difference to whether WMT picks them up, unless I am missing something.

I just recently added it to the footer and elsewhere as a potential fix. Previously it was only linked through the logo. That said, all other pages show fine in WMT. I guess I'm in another wait and see period... can't say it's not frustrating

How does WMT report other links throughout the site, e.g. links to the blog or the Terms / Privacy pages, which are linked to in a similar way?

The "webmaster" disallowed all ROBOTS to fight spam! Help!!
One of the companies I do work for has a magento site. Â I am simply the SEO guy and they work the website through some developers who hold access to their systems VERY tightly. Â Using Google Webmaster Tools I saw that the robots.txt file was blocking ALL robots. I immediately e-mailed out and received a long reply about foreign robots and scrappers slowing down the website. Â They told me I would have to provide a list of only the good robots to allow in robots.txt. Please correct me if I'm wrong.. but isn't Robots.txt optional?? Won't a bad scrapper or bot still bog down the site? Â Shouldn't that be handled in httaccess or something different? I'm not new to SEO but I'm sure some of you who have been around longer have run into something like this and could provide some suggestions or resources I could use to plead my case! If I'm wrong.. please help me understand how we can meet both needs of allowing bots to visit the site but prevent the 'bad' ones. Â Their claim is the site is bombarded by tons and tons of bots that have slowed down performance. Thanks in advance for your help!

When is it recommended to use a self referencing rel "canonical"?
In what type of a situation is it the best type of practice to use a self referencing rel "canonical" tag? Are there particular practices to be cautious of when using a self referencing  rel "canonical" tag? I see this practice used mainly with larger websites but I can't find any information that really explains when is a good time to make use of this practice for SEO purposes. Appreciate all feedback. Should my wording in my outreach email be: ...to write a guest post around this article: http://... Or should I just ask if they want help with content and go from there? In other words, should I always call it a guest post for maximum conversions? Thanks.

Pipe ("|") in my website's title is being replaced with ":" in Google results
Hi , One of the websites I'm promoting and working on is www.pau-brasil.co.il.

It's wordpress-based website and as you can see the html's Title is "PauBrasil | some hebrew slogan".

When I'm searching for "PauBrasil" (Which is the brand's name) , one of the results google shows is "PauBrasil: Some Hebrew Slogan" (Screenshot:Â http://i.imgur.com/eJxNHrO.gif ) Why does the pipe is being replaced with ":" ?
And not just that , as you can see there's a "blank space" missing between the the ":" to the slogan.
(note: the websites has been indexed by google crawler at least 4 times so I find it hard to believe it can be the reason) I've keep on looking and found out that there's another page in that website with the exact same title
but when I'm looking for it in google , it shows the title as it really is , with pipe. ("|").

Questions regarding Google's "improved url handling parameters"
Google recently posted about improving url handling parameters  http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2011/07/improved-handling-of-urls-with.html I have a couple questions: Is it better to canonicalize urls or use parameter handling? Will Google inform us if it finds a parameter issue? Or, should we have a prepare a list of parameters that should be addressed?
