Too Many On Page Links Error On Wordpress Blog

I have a wordpress blog. I am getting an error message from SEOmoz "too many on page links"

However SEOmoz is counting a full month of blogs as one page.

For example-3 onpage internal links in each blog times 30 different blog article in a month is recorded as 90 on page links.

Is there any mechanism to fix this on wordpress

I take it you have the full post being displayed? Go under the Settings tab in WP and there should be an option in one of the sub tabs to change from displaying full posts on your home page to post summarys. Should clear up your problem.

So simply change the number of displayed posts for the home page.

How to safely syndicate blog posts in LinkedIn Company page

We currently post our new blog post on our company profile (in Linkedin) immediately after publishing on our company blog. Is this running the risk of duplicate content? My colleague pastes the new posts URL into (I've given an example using my own site - ironically about Panda)! Does this run the risk of creating duplicate content? I've tried searching for indexed pages in Google for past posts and only find the originals (no URLs for the LinkedIn domain). Product Pages Outranking Category Pages

Hi, We are noticing an issue where some product pages are outranking our relevant category pages for certain keywords. For a made up example, a "heavy duty widgets" product page might rank for the keyword phrase Heavy Duty Widgets, instead of our Heavy Duty Widgets category page appearing in the SERPs. We've noticed this happening primarily in cases where the name of the product page contains an at least partial match for the desired keyword phrase we want the category page to rank for. However, we've also found isolated cases where the specified keyword points to a completely irrelevent pages instead of the relevant category page. Has anyone encountered a similar issue before, or have any ideas as to what may cause this to happen? Let me know if more clarification of the question is needed. Thanks!

To many links on page. Big or small issue for eCommerce

On my site I have around 3k pages and about 90 categories. Most of which have a sensible number of products but some have only a few products and some have loads. if I have say 40 links on the page ignoring the producand is it a big problem if I have more than 60 products on the page? Assuming a link limit per page of 100 user wise we have filters and sorts for thme to find what they breed without issue. But simply from an seo point of view how damaging would I be to have the 23 "to many links on page issues? Worth fixing by making two categories and splitting out products even tho it would hinder the user.

Too Many On-Page Links on a Blog

I have a question about the number of on-page links on a page and the implications on how we're viewed by search engines. After SEOmoz crawls our website, we consistently get notifications that some of our pages have "Too Many On-Page Links." These are always limited to pages on our blog, and largely a function of our tag cloud (~ 30 links) plus categories (10 links) plus popular posts (5 links). These all display on every blog post in the sidebar. How significant a problem is this? And, if you think it is a significant problem, what would you suggest to remedy the problem? Should I allow index of category / tag pages on Wordpress?

Quite simply, is it best to allow index of category / tag pages on a Wordpress blog or no index them? My thought is Google will / might see it as duplicate content? Thanks, K

2 home page domains causing split in link juice

We have 2 home page domains that are resulting in a split in links. We have mysite.com and mysite.com/index.php. The site is on Joomla and when we try and re-direct the /index.php to just mysite.com is causing an infinite loop. I have done this on other platforms with no problems - is this an issue because of Joomla? How can we complete a 301 re-direct to consolidate our link juice to one domain url?

Discrepency between # of pages and # of pages indexed

Here is some background: The site in question has approximately 10,000 pages and Google Webmaster shows that 10,000 urls(pages were submitted) 2) Only 5,500 pages appear in the Google index 3) Webmaster shows that approximately 200 pages could not be crawled for various reasons 4) SEOMOZ shows about 1,000 pages that have long URL's or Page Titles (which we are correcting) 5) No other errors are being reported in either Webmaster or SEO MOZ 6) This is a new site launched six weeks ago. Within two weeks of launching, Google had indexed all 10,000 pages and showed 9,800 in the index but over the last few weeks, the number of pages in the index kept dropping until it reached 5,500 where it has been stable for two weeks. Any ideas of what the issue might be? Also, is there a way to download all of the pages that are being included in that index as this might help troubleshoot?
