Multiple Google Webmaster Tools Configurations
-
Hello everyone,
I just inherited a website and 2 different users created GWT accounts on the same site and have configured different settings. Do you know how Google behaves when this happens?
Thanks

Hi Carla,
My name is Rattan and I work at FIRST NZ.
That's strange, never came across such incident. Are the URLs same in both accounts (http:// and https://, www and non-www versions)?
If you have access to both the accounts, you can remove one of the account and keep the preferable setting account active? To grant access to multiple users, add them as users.
Regards

Hi FRL (sorry your name is not in your profile),
Unfortunately, I do not think that I have 2 owners since when I enter both GWT accounts I see different configurations for the same exact website. This is what I am worried about. I do know how to delegate access to other users as mentioned in the link you provided.
Let me know what you think.

Hi Carla,
The Google Webmaster Tools property should remain the same for both users. If any of the user have made changes, it should reflect in other user's account as well. Its just that you have 2 owners of the GWT, not two different GWT for the website.

I hope this helps.

Mac-Friendly, DOM-Rendering Spidering Tool for Multiple Users
Hello! I am looking for a spidering tool that: Is Mac-friendly Can render the DOM and find JS links Can spider password-protected sites (prompts for password and then continues spider, etc.) Has competitive pricing for 8+ users. Screaming Frog is amazing - and maybe we're just going to have to bite the bullet there. But if anyone has any other ideas, I've love to hear them. Thanks!

Google Webmaster Tools > HTML Improvements > 301 Moved Permanently pages - how did they even get there?
Hello experts! I'm going through my Google Webmaster Tools > HTML Improvements looking for pages with duplicate meta descriptions/titles that I can fix. And I noticed there are about 60 pages odd looking page titles that have duplicate meta descriptions, which are also noted as: 301 Moved Permanently Moved Permanently The document has moved here. Apache Server at sports When I click on the link to see the page names, all of them are pages we never created. The pages are all sports blog related. Here are few examples: http://www.titanium-jewelry.com/justin-tuck-blog.html http://www.titanium-jewelry.com/unlimited-potential-project-blog.html http://www.titanium-jewelry.com/left-handed-baseball-glove-blog.html http://www.titanium-jewelry.com/adjustable-basketball-hoops-blog.html how did they get on our site? Is this some sort of malicious attack? Most of them are sports related blog looking names. I just don't know how these pages could have been created. 2) is this hurting us with Google?3) Can you tell when the page was created? Thanks ron xEtX3op.jpg

HTTP Errors in Webmaster Tools
We recently added a 301 redirect from our non-www domain to the www version. As a result, we now have tons of HTTP errors (403s to be exact) in Webmaster Tools. They're all from over a month ago, but they still show up. How can we fix this?
