Have you had good experiences of ranking with retweets?

I was reading some seomoz posts last week and for a long time ago they are making some experiences with social medias.
I agree that facebook share is more powerful than retweets but also is harder to get it.
I would like to know if you have any GOOD experiences with Twitter or Facebook in your SEO campaigns.
I got one:
I got 20 retweets per day since last week, now my keyword is ranking at 2º positon.

Right now I'm watching Rand's webinar on the future of linkbuilding. I just got to the point where he talks about an experiment where they showed two identical pages of a website that served the purpose of fighting hunger in Sierra Leone. The way I understand it, SEOMoz asked people to link to page A and tweet about page B. The page that had tweets ended up outranking the site with links!
That's pretty interesting.

Good or Bad - Google reviews from the one IP?
Hello, our client wants to place an iPad in their foyer where they invite customers to review via Google / Facebook. My concern is that having too many reviews from the same IP (and esp the business' IP) will look suspicious to Google (be it now, or in the future when the algorithm changes). Do you think Google collect the IP's of reviews? Any thoughts?

Any ideas to boost rankings for a ticket website?
Hello, I have a ticket website: http://www.TicketTrail.com and I am looking for advice for better SEO for the website. I know its tough because there are so many sites out there like this but wanted to get some opinions. I have done little things here and there and are starting to see a couple of keywords come up but I am trying to get my inner pages ranked so I can come up for long tail keywords based on an actually game or event that is happening. Any suggestions would be great. I have 4 friends that work for me that will do anything to promote the site. Thanks

Scribit - A good deal?
Hi there! There's a new platform on the web which says that it can crawl on the web to get the best content around social media and blogs in order to allow the developer of website "x" to public this content on their websites (with all rights reserved - that make me believe that it generates automatically rel="cannonical" tags). http://techcrunch.com/2012/04/18/scribit-launch/ http://www.scribit.com/ I aways heard that all kind of automatic content applications suck, and my fist impression about this one was the same. But my business partner found it really interesting, mostly because we have a small team to generate constant great content. So I said to him that automatically generated content commonly suck in any case, and google sometime will find that our blog has 1kk rel="canonnical" tags for every post and they might find it suspect. Anyway he asked me to research more about this specific platform and I wanna know what you guys think about it. Forget speech errors. English is not my native language. Regards.

Need people's opinion on if this is good advice for link building
What google wants is authority, relevancy, quality and engagement. If you have an authority in your niche and place relevant content on your website plus grammar free, unique and a lot of words, and social influence via Twitter, Facebook, Google +... You shouldn't be worried about the speed of building back links. I checked your website and it seems like an authority site. PR5, 18K backlinks plus $38K SE free traffic (according to SEMrush)... You just need a social influence to boost your authority. Create Twitter, Facebook, Google+ accounts for this website and also Facebook and Google+ pages. Then Create 30 web 2.0 accounts and on each one post three articles. Two of them are an account activation (this is what I call it), which can be just grabbed from ezinearticles and spun. Keep the links to the articles at the bottom of the pages. Once your web 2.0 sites are indexed by Google publish 800+ words quality relevant content with two links to your website. One to your root domain and one to the most relevant page your website (I mean relevant to the 800+ words article). Do this on each of those 30 web 2.0 sites. After this blast all of the 800+ articles with all kind of backlinks. Forum profiles, blog comments, article directories... Just use Senuke and other software. And don't forget to create a facebook fan page for each of the web 2.0 sites. In one month, you'll see a heck of a move in rankings. Where does the bookmarking part go? You need to bookmark every single URL you want Google to see. And if you want to outsource it, I highly recommend you to get a full time VA who would do this for you. Hope it helps. And your answer to your question about speed, if your site is older than 3 months don't care about the speed. Care about the quality.

Yet another Google Plus One question: Does it affect ranking for people that you are NOT connected to?
Title pretty much explains it all. If lots of people plus one (the new verb of 2011?) a site, is that site deemed 'popular' and therefore will appear higher up the SERPS generally? Or does it only affect those with whom you are linked via Twitter/Facebook/Google+? Or is it too early to tell yet?

What would be a good way to drive traffic to a temporary post - job posting / classified ad?
I was wondering what would be the best way to drive traffic to a posting that will only last 30 days. I didn't think linking would be the answer, but wanted to get opinions. I was thinking pinging and social media (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter)... What would your strategy be?
