Unexplainable 404 in my Wordpress Monitor
-
Hi Guys,
We started a new website (far from complete) and i'm fixing some SEO problems. I have a SEO 404 monitor plugin and he gives me strange 404's that i can't find:
https://compleetverkleed.nl/feestkleding/www.compleetverkleed.nl/feestkleding
https://compleetverkleed.nl/rode-peper-pak/www.compleetverkleed.nl/feestkleding
https://compleetverkleed.nl/new-kids-kleding/www.compleetverkleed.nl/feestkleding
https://compleetverkleed.nl/fee-kostuum/www.compleetverkleed.nl/feestkledingThe 404 error code comes due to a double domain URL, and it happens only on the /feestkleding subdomain. When i check my original page, for example https://compleetverkleed.nl/rode-peper-pak/ there is only 1 internal link to /feestkleding but when i click on it, it works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or where to look to see why this is happening? (it happens on every page, not the 4 above > starting to come through in webmastertools also)

Thanks!

Unrelated to the original question - you might want to invest in a tool like Screaming Frog - there are several other issues with your site
- about 50 5xx errors
- a lot of 301 in your internal links.
- most meta descriptions / H1 titles seem to be missing
- load time issues
- mixed www/non-www urls - better to stick with one & redirect the other to the chosen version (duplicate content issue as content exists on 2 url's)

Dirk

Hi,
Point 1 - you mix relative & absolute links in your source code. Example on your homepage - line 429 - you put which leads to https://compleetverkleed.nl/www.compleetverkleed.nl - I guess it's the same thing on these other pages.
[Point 2 - these sitemaps are probably generated by the Yoast SEO plugin - see https://compleetverkleed.nl/sitemap_index.xml You will have to check the configuration of the sitemap module of Yoast - it could also be related to this Bug https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/2172

Structured Data Mark Up Helper 404?
Whenever I put our URL into markup helper, it returns not found 404.
Technical SEO | | RayflexGroup
I've tried this for different pages, different categories and it all returns the same "not found 404" - I did also trial other websites to see if it was an issue with the markup helper but everything returned fine.
Has anyone else had this issue or know how to resolve?0 -
HTML snapshot creating soft 404
Has anyone any experience with HTML snapshots? We have a recruitment client that has HTML snapshots against all job pages as they are built with AJAX. The pages naturally die after around four weeks (the job vacancy runs out) and whilst the AJAX version of the page hard 404s, the HTML snapshot version returns a soft 404. How can we get it to mirror the dead page with 404 status?

404 from a 404 that 301s
I must be missing something or skipping a step or lacking proper levels of caffeine. Under my High Priority warnings I have a handful of 404s which are like that on purpose but I'm not sure how Moz is finding them. When I check the referrer info, the 404 is being linked to from a different 404 which is now a 301 (due to craziness of our system and what was easiest for the coders to fix a different problem ages ago). Basically, if a user decides to type in a non-existent model number into the URL there is a specific 404 that comes up. While the 404 error is "site.com/product/?model=abc123" the referrer is "site.com/product?model=abc123" (or more simply, one slash is missing). I can't see how Moz is finding the referrer so I can't figure out how to make Moz stop crawling it. I actually have the same problem in Google WMT for the same group of 404s. What am I just not seeing that will fix this?

ASP.net to Wordpress - Conserving the Backlink Profile
I am converting a site from ASP.net to wordpress. The ASP site has a decent backlink profile. Most links are pointing to their homepage. Is there anything I should be on the lookout so I do not lose their link profiles? I believe we are using the same server.

Redirect from old wordpress site to new php site? Best approach
Hi I have two websites one legacy site done in wordpress the other in php. However I would like to merge the two together and remove the wordpress site. However it has a good link profile and the pages rank well. What is the best approach to do a 301 redirect from the old site with all its pages pointing to the homepage of the new site? If so what's the best way to do this in wordpress? Many thanks

404 crawl errors from "tel:" link?
I am seeing thousands of 404 errors. Each of the urls is like this: abc.com/abc123/tel:1231231234 Everything is normal about that url except the "/tel:1231231234" these urls are bad with the tel: extension, they are good without it. The only place I can find this character string is on each page we have this code which is used for Iphones and such. What are we doing wrong? Code: Phone: <a href="[tel:1231231234](tel:7858411943)"> (123) 123-1234a>
