Moz Tool Bar Annoyance - How do I make the green keyword difficulty box go away?

A highly annoying light green keyword difficulty box just started showing up to the right of the search box. How do I make this go away?

There's always the API route too for more custom needs. I'm a long time user as well but can get why they alter tools to display more of their toolset. It's likely a tested value-add for many and newer subscribers. Cheers! -
Thanks, Jamie. So uninstalling and re-installing did the trick. Thank you. There is now a whole "new" look. My Mozbar used to provide data on black backgrounds. This is now light grey - and the three modes you describe now work. I have to tell you, I really long for the "old Moz days" when the tools were straightforward and simple. They accomplished very specific tasks. So you used a series of them independently, but they were elegant in their simplicity. Nowadays, Moz tools are so over-designed to try to "do" everything for you all at once. Why we need 3 different modes for a toolbar is beyond me. Sigh. If I could have the old Linkscape interface back, I would take it in a minute. I would also take back the old Rank Tracker. I would change OSE back so you can see the full URLs of your backlinks on screen without having to download all the time. Longing for the good ole days. #rantover

Hi Jen,
Do you have the bar in "DA mode?"
Click it once to put the bar into DA mode which is "half off" or click it again to disable it.
If you don't get those different modes when clicking the "M" button I would uninstall and reinstall the chrome ext.

Hmm. Could be a bug because for me it stays off while using Chrome as a browser. Can you share your browser and OS specs? Staff should be able to better trouble shoot after that. Cheers!

Thank you, Ryan. But, that does not make it go away permanently. Every time I enter a query, it reappears. I'm a Pro member since the days of Linkscape and I am usually signed in. This is so highly annoying, especially since I have to screen grab a lot. I have been using the Moz Tool Bar since inception and this just started happening. Was there a new release? At this point, I am going to uninstall the extension and use OSE directly. If someone knows how to disable this permanently, please advise.

Hi Jen. If you click the Moz "M" to turn off the tool bar it will go away. Click it on if you want it and other features to display again. Cheers!

I recently did a keyowrd difficulty lookup in Moz keyword explorer as usual and for the first time a saw several (out of 100s) of negative keyowrd scores (generally -2). Is this a bug, what does it mean?

KW Explorer is Working to Disambiguate Keywords Google Merges Together
Hey gang, Russ Jones from Moz has been doing a ton of heavy lifting work to try to get around the new problem posed by Google AdWords recent change to merged-keyword volume data. But, we're fighting back against this obfuscation in Keyword Explorer. I'm sharing two emails (slightly edited) from Russ about what we're doing here: Introduction to the Problem: Google Adwords Keyword Planner is the primary source for keyword search volume (how often a keyword is searched monthly on Google) for much of the search marketing industry. While Google has grouped together highly-similar terms for a while (especially misspellings), in June of 2016 they dramatically increased this keyword-grouping. This means similar phrases like "keyword rank", "keyword ranking" and "keyword rankings" would all be reported as having the same, combined search volume, rather than their individual search volumes. If you were to take Google's numbers at face value, you might think there are 3,000 searches per month for these 3 terms, when in reality there is only 1,000, divided amongst the 3 terms. How we are addressing it: Moz's Keyword Explorer uses a blend of data sources, not just Keyword Planner, to build our volume metrics. This gives us a distinct advantage in that we can adjust the volume of words that deviate dramatically in one data set verses another. Take for example the phrases "keyword rank", "keyword ranking", and "keyword rankings". While Google Keyword Planner might report all of these as having 1,000 searches per month, Moz Keyword Explorer can detect that these numbers are significantly higher than what our models would predict given our other data sets. We can then adjust the volume accordingly. Moreover, given our huge keyword data set, we can also identify grouped phrases (like these 3) and divide the volume proportionally to what we see in our other data sets. Thus, we address the grouping problem from multiple directions. Here's email #2 from Russ, detailing more of how we're attacking this: I have been working pretty much non-stop on this keyword volume disambiguation problem (finding the real search volume of individual keywords when Google clumps several together). I think I have settled on a pretty good solution and am working on getting it all in. For example... Google Keyword Volume for the phrases "briefcase for women" and "briefcases for women" are both at 3600 because they have been lumped together. My disambiguation script says the singular (briefcase for women) should be 2731 and the plural should be 869. Google Trends roughly agrees with this, showing that the singular is searched more than 2x the plural: https://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=briefcase%20for%20women%2C%20briefcases%20for%20women&cmpt=q&tz=Etc%2FGMT%2B4 Basically, Keyword Explorer should already be providing some more accurate/segmented numbers than AdWords, and in the future, we'll get even better thanks to our clickstream data and our evolving models. Editing Keywords in Moz Keyword Tracking Under Campaigns

As part of Moz Pro, we've created a campaign to track a set number of keywords and it seems that 2-3 of the keywords have been entered as a misspelling so I wanted to know how I can edit them to be corrected? Under "Add & Manage Keyword" I do see the keywords however do I need to click on "Show More" in order to scroll over to the keywords I need to edit / correct? Q2Eager to know if duplicated keywords are omitted when they are entered into the campaign. So if someone had entered in "abc123" twice in the list of 600 keywords will the 2nd instance of abc123 be removed when the keyword list is submitted into Moz? Cheers,

What are the best tools to help analyse on page optimisation for pages on development server and not currently live
currently using seo quake and moz tool bar but wondered if there is a better suggestion that will look at pages that are only accessible on the internal network on development server. Very restricted in what can be installed

Problems with Moz tools
Hello, I am having real problems with Moz tools. I can log in to Moz analytics (crawl diagnostics) and analyse one site and I get 2 [internal] duplicate page errors Yet when I enter via pro.moz.com (crawl diagnostics) I am finding over 100 duplicate page content warnings? Any idea why this is happening?

Moz ranking report shows massive loss in Bing SERP's. But it is not the case?
My weekly ranking report shows massive loss of SERP's on Bing. For most keywords I was no longer in the top 50 which where first top 5. But when I checked it out for myself, I'm still ranked top 5 for these keywords. I then used the Moz Rank Tracker and there it also says I'm still ranking top 5 for these keywords. What should I believe now?

Moz Rank Tracker - showing deleted subdomains results for entered keywords
We have recently deleted subdomains because they were causing duplicate page errors but now the Moz rank tracker is showing the subdomain key word results even instead of the exact url we entered. So for example wine cellar is showing up for a deleted subdomain (winecellar.vigilantinc.com) instead of the entered exact url of (vigilantinc.com/winecellars/) Please advise. Thanks!
