Question about structuring @id schema tags
-
We are using JSON-LD to apply schema. My colleague had question about applying @id tags in the schema parent lists:
While implementing schema, we've included @id as a parameter to both the "list" child of "ListItem" of a "BreadcrumbList" - on the same schema, we've added an @id parameter to mainContentOfPage and both @id parameters are set to the pages URL. Having this @id in both places is giving schema checker results that have the child elements of "mainContentOfPage" appearing under the "list" item.
Questions: is this good or bad? Where should @id be used? What should @id be set to?
Thanks for the insight!

Hi Rosemary! Did Everett's response help, or could you provide a link?
Thanks!

Can you share a link to a page with the code? You should use @id to indicate the URL of the entity being defined by the Schema. I think it's OK to have multiple @id's per page, but I think you should only have one per "node" since each node is identifying and defining one entity.
If the problem has to do with the same @id being used several times on the page, you may want to look into @base, which I think would allow you to specify the @id of the entity once for the entire page: http://www.w3.org/TR/json-ld/#advanced-concepts
Note: I'm not a developer. I have implemented Schema on several sites using JSON-LD, but only have a basic working knowledge. If you share the code perhaps it will be easier to assist you.

Does Googlebot Read Session IDs?
I did a raw export from AHREFs yesterday and one of our sites has 18,000 backlinks coming from the same site. But they're all the same link, just with a different session ID. The structure of the URL is: [website].com/resources.php?UserID=10031529 And we have 18,000 of these with a different ID. Does Google read each of these as a unique backlink or does it realize there's just one link and the session ID is throwing it off? I read different opinions when researching this so I'm hoping the Moz community can give some concrete answers.

Duplicate Content Question
My client's website is for an organization that is part of a larger organization - which has it's own website. We were given permission to use content from the larger organization's site on my client's redesigned site. The SEs will deem this as duplicate content, right? I can "re-write" the content for the new site, but it will still be closely based on the original content from the larger organization's site, due to the scientific/medical nature of the subject material. Is there a way around this dilemma so I do not get penalized? Thanks!

How To Create Dynamic WordPress Tags
Does anyone know how to make WordPress "tag" pages automatically generate a description based on the posts included in the tag? I have a lot of tags, and most of them rank well for long tail keywords. However I have noticed that although they have a dynamically generated "title meta tag" they do not generate a "description meta tag". I know WordPress lets you customize the description for each tag, but I have way to many for that. I need the description meta to be auto generated from the posts that are being tagged, rather than not including one at all. Does anyone know how to do this?

Meta keywords vs tags
On a blog from an SEO perspective how do you choose keywords to use in the "meta keyword tag" vs. "post tags"? Will it be different based on the search volume/competition of the keywords targeted?
