We have over 70.000 posts and are having 0 issues with the sitemaps part of the Yoast plugin. So I would really recommend going with that one.

Hi Michael,
We like all in one SEO, but have also used Yoast and lots of people swear by that plugin. I see you have yoast set up are you having issues with the it not including URL's?
If you are finding your site is too big for either, look into pro sitemaps. It's a paid service, but crawls pretty deep and is automatic so it will keep your sitemap up to date. The initial setup is a bit involved but once set up and providing an decent indexation rate very little tweaking is involved.

Yoast XML Sitemap Taxonomies
Hey all, Quick question about taxonomies and sitemap settings. On our e-commerce site, we noindex product tags and post tags. Under the "Taxonomies" settings in Yoast I'm seeing taxonomies such as Product Color (pa_color). Would it be wise to remove such taxonomies from our sitemap if we already include product colors, attributes, etc. in our page titles and product descriptions? Thanks in advance, Andrew

Sitemaps and dynamic pages
Hi all, I have a gigantic website and they are adding another subdirectory to it. My question is regarding html sitemaps for better optimisation. 1. Should a keyword focussed front end (html) sitemap be made for all the dynamic URLs or 2. Should a category focussed front end (html) sitemap be made for all the dynamic URLs what would be your approach to doing a sitemap with thousands of pages with a structure like Directory > Sub directory > Subdirectory > Files

Linking to External Websites?
Is it good to link external websites from every page. Since, the on-page grader shows there should be one link pointing to an external source. I have a website that can point to an external website from every page using the brand name of the specific site like deal sites do have. Is it worth having external link on every page, of-course with a no-follow tag?

Sitemap.xml
Looking for a discussion for using sitemap.xml We have used them for years and I still see that Google has an area to submit your sitemap to but from everything I research, including Google, sitemaps seem to now-a-days be almost useless. What do you think and what has your research shown? Thanks everybody! Charles Mazzini
