Why is the Page Authority for posts in my blog so low

I have noticed that the Page Authority for my posts in my blog are all hovering around 1 and the rest of the pages on my website are around 20. The Domain Authority for my website is 16 and I think the page authority of my posts are negatively affecting my Domain Authority as I write more content. Any suggestions or recommendations as to why posts have such low Page Authority compared to similar pages.
I have images, links, and great content in my posts, but they are considerably lower in Page Authority*

Remember that PA and DA depend on link metrics. So, if there is no link pointing to the page you are studying, there will be no metrics.
Search this topic URL in OSE and will see that it has no backlink. There you have the reason why it has PA=1. Age is not the only factor.Hope it helps.
GRPS: As a general rule, it is advisable to do not rely in only one metric (or one platform metrics), try to compare and correlate with other platforms and metrics.

Out of interest, as of 16th August 2017 this page has a PA:1 DA:93 so i'm not so sure that age will naturally fix things..this is an old thread now...

Like Gaston said, when a new page is created will get a PA=1. Since these are newer pages, the page authority of 1 is nothing to be worried about just yet.
The reason your blog posts have much less authority than your homepage, for example, is because it is likely that there are multiple websites linking to your homepage. It is much more difficult to get backlinks to your blog posts as you continue to generate website content. If you are looking to improve these, I would try to get links back to the blog posts from high authority websites. You could also try guest blogging on a website with a high domain authority that includes a link back to a related blog post. You want to guest blog on websites that are:
- Relevant to your business – either because they focus on your geographic area or industry (or both)
- Authoritative (quality sites with quality human-edited content)
- Popular (frequently read by your target customers)

Hi Joey,
Keep in mind that Moz metrics are updated once a month. And PA, in this case, dependends on the metrics of its own page.
If it doesnt get any links, mainly, there will be not movement on that metric.
Also, by defect, when a new page is created will get a PA=1, untill the update comes (if it need to be updated).Just give it time and keep creating great content. Better metrics will come along.

Question on Pagination Because we could have /blog/ or /blog/?page=1 as page one would this be the correct way to markup the difference between these two URL? The first page of a sequence could start with either one of these URLs. Clarity around what to do on this first page would be helpful. To integrate a blog tool onto site - or build a blog solution - what's better for SEO?
Currently looking at adding a blog to our company site subdirectory and wanted to know if there was a SEO distinction between the following methods: Integrating a bolt-on blog tool with the site to create the blog VS. just using the current site infrastructure to build blog functionality. My shopping cart does not allow to instal a WordPress blog on a sub-domain like: furnacefilterscanada.com/blog/ But I can host my blog on another server with a sub-domain like: blog.furnacefilterscanada.com In a SEO point of view is there a difference between the 2? To the SEO experts, this may well seem a silly question, so I apologies in advance as I try not to ask questions that I probably know the answer for already, but clarity is my goal I have numerous sites ,as standard practice, through the .htaccess I will always set up non www to www, and redirect the index page to www.mysite.com. All straight forward, have never questioned this practice, always been advised its the ebst practice to avoid duplicate content. Now, today, I was looking at a CMS service for a customer for their website, the website is already built and its a static website, so the CMS integration was going to mean a full rewrite of the website. Speaking to a friend on another forum, he told me about a service called simple CMS, had a look, looks perfect for the customer ... Went to set it up on the clients site and here is the problem. For the CMS software to work, it MUST access the index page, because my index page is redirected to www.mysite.com , it wont work as it cant find the index page (obviously) I questioned this with the software company, they inform me that it must access the index page, I have explained that it wont be able to and why (cause I have my index page redirected to avoid duplicate content) To my astonishment, the person there told me that duplicate content is a huge no no with Google (that's not the astonishing part) but its not relevant to the index and non index page of a website. This goes against everything I thought I knew ... The person also reassured me that they have worked within the SEO area for 10 years. As I am a subscriber to SEO MOZ and no one here has anything to gain but offering advice, is this true ? Will it not be an issue for duplicate content to show both a index page and non index page ?, will search engines not view this as duplicate content ? Or is this SEO expert talking bull, which I suspect, but cannot be sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, it would make my life a lot easier for the customer to use this CMS software, but I would do it at the risk of tarnishing the work they and I have done on their ranking status Many thanks in advance John

Diagnostic says too many links on a page and most of the pages are from blog entries. Are tags considered links? How do I decrease links?
I just ran my first diagnostic on my site and the results came back were negative in the area of too many links one a page. There were also quite a few 404 errors. What is the best way to fix these problems? Most of the pages with too many links are from blog posts, are the tags counted as well and is this the reason for too many links?

301 lots of old pages to home page
Will it hurt me if i redirect a few hundred old pages to my home page? I currently have a mess on my hands with many 404's showing up after moving my site to a new ecommerce server. We have been at the new server for 2 years but still have 337 404s showing up in google webmaster tools. I don't think it would affect users as very few people woudl find those old links but I don't want to mess with google. Also, how much are those 404s hurting my rank?
