Only 2 Inbound Links which are the Redirect 301 Links
-
Hello Everyone,
We're having a serious Problem with the ranking of our website so we started testing the website in different Tools. Almost all of the tools say our website works great and in comparision to our competitors we win in almost every test – but we rank behind them.
The only thing that makes me wonder is the fact that our website has only 2 Inbound links (Open Site Explorer) when the link source is set to only internal. And the only links shown are 2 links that come from the old http (we're using https) and redirect 301 to our https. No other links – in other tools we have around 80 internal links to our rmain https-webadress.
Does anyone have an idea where that comes from? I'm afraid this might be our issue in ranking behind of lots of our competitors.
Lokking forward to your ideas and suggestions.

Howdy.
So, here is the thing - MOZ link crawler is very delayed. They crawl about once a month. Also, as any other crawler, there is a limitation on resources. Therefore there is high chance that simply your link profile is not up-to-date. If all other tools are saying that it's the case, then you are good.
As for why your website is not ranking better than competitors - there are so many other signals than links. And the metrics are just metrics.
Hope this helps.

Reclaim lost links to old pages?
We recently moved our site to a new CMS and did a complete redesign, with new content. It's really hit our SEO. Open site explorer is telling me there are lots of 404 web pages which were basically old product pages that no longer exist, since the way we have structured the site has changed. So is it worth trying to reclaim these links? If so, how can I do that without building pages at the URL - will a 301 redirect be enough?

How do Infographics provide links? (example inside)
Hi, I don't get it...
Moz Pro | | BeytzNet
I've encountered the following infographic that seemed to do well: http://www.brilliance.com/4cs-of-diamonds-infograph As you can see, the page has thousands of social shares from Tweets to Facebook and obviously Pinterest. However, when I placed this page on Open Site Explorer (click to view) I see only 9 external links and page authority of 28/100. And this seems to me like a successful infographic. Any explanations? 302 redirects
We just went through a redesign and i had a lot of 301 redirects created. Looking over my crawl report in SEOmoz, i see over 14k 302 redirects with a message to change them to 301s. When confronting my IT team, I was assured these were all done with 301 status codes. Any advice on where to go from here and/or why I'm seeing this message in SEOmoz if its not true? Thanks!

Count of Inbound Internal Links
Is there a simple way, using the moz tools, to get a count of inbound internal links for a given URL? Seems simple enough but I'm having trouble finding that specific data point.

Is SEOmoz spider ignoring my redirect?
My client was previously serving their website from both a .co.uk and a .com domain. The DNS for each of these domains was pointing to the same place, rather than redirecting. I saw this as a potential duplicate content problem so I set the .co.uk to 301 redirect on to the .com. As a user, the 301 seems to be working correctly. However, now that I have done this, SEOmoz is picking up thousands of "inbound" links from the .co.uk domain. Essentially, every single link on the internal site, is being duplicated in my stats as an inbound link as well. It appears that the spider is ignoring the redirect. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate issue that will upset Google too, or if it's just a bug with SEOMoz's spider.

Link reporting.
Is there a way in the Pro reporting where I can see a summary of the number of incoming links by type (blogs / news / wiki / dir / forums etc)? Even better, could the report give me an average Page Rank for each link type? Thanks,

How good is Link Assistant Suite? and how good is the SEOmoz API?
Ive gotten many mixed opinions on Link Assistant and its complete suite, I wanted to get some opinions on the matter.. Anyone use these tools? What is the difference between these tools and other tools on the web? Would adding the free SEOmoz API into this software show better results?

Google Inbound Links much higher than SEOMOZ
I just started here and really like everything the community and tools so far. One question. My SEOMOZ dashboard shows only one inbound link while Google Web Tools shows 300+. My site has been up for 3 months now and I'm curious about the lack of indexing. Any help, tips or feedback is greatly appreciated. http://CrossTrainingandFitness.com Robb Jarrett
