Recipe Wordpress Plugin - Structured Data?

We have been using this plugin for years: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ziplist-recipe-plugin/ and it appears that it's causing us serious problems in Google. So we're looking for either a new plugin or possible directions on if we should custom build an option into our site.
Ultimately we're looking for the best setup for the Recipes on our site to obtain a Featured Snippet. Thank you!

Yes. I usually go for having everything under control. Moreover, implementing schema.org is really not a hard thing to do. I tried a quick search and found this article: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/schema-wordpress-seo/. It might help. They talk about a plugin which does schema.org integration in Wordpress but also show you how to implement it yourself. I hope it helps.

Yes, we've received a manual penalty (Spammy structured markup) within GSC and our Organic traffic has dropped ~25%. We're fairly certain the plugin is the problem, especially since it hasn't been updated for a few years. But we're never 100% positive. This is our best bet.
Thanks for the heads up on Data Highlighter. Can you explain what the difference between this and Schema.org?

Ok, so you'd recommend just coding directly into the theme, rather than trying to find another plugin.

I would suggest the following:
1. Use Yoast SEO plugin (https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/) for general search engine optimization.
2. Code the Recipe structured data markup following the information in this link: http://schema.org/Recipe. You can code this in the specific theme file for your recipes from the Theme Editor.

Need URL structure suggestions
On my website I am in the process of creating expat city guides for different cities in Cambodia. I've already gotten three up, but I am worried that my URL structure is not the best, so I am wondering if I should fix it before I put the rest up. Right now the city guides are housed here: movetocambodia.com/expat-city-and-island-guides/ There's a section for each city, this one is for Battambang: movetocambodia.com/expat-city-and-island-guides/battambang And then there are sections for hotels, restaurants, etc. movetocambodia.com/expat-city-and-island-guides/battambang/battambang-hotels-and-accommodation So once you finally get to a review for an individual hotel or activity, the URL is really long, like this: movetocambodia.com/expat-city-and-island-guides/battambang/battambang-hotels-and-accommodation/classy-hotel Should I just par the section names down so the URL would be something like this: movetocambodia.com/expat-city-guides/battambang/accommodation/classy-hotel/ ? I was hoping by having the long URLs slugs for my section pages, such as "battambang-hotels-and-accommodation" they would be more likely to show on search terms like "Battambang hotels" than if the section was just "accommodation." However, this whole section is getting much less search traffic than anything else on my site, so I am wondering if it is because of these ridiculously long URLs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Url folder structure
I work for a travel site and we have pages for properties in destinations and am trying to decide how best to organize the URLs basically we have our main domain, resort pages and we'll also have articles about each resort so the URL structure will actually get longer:

_ domain.com/family-condo-for-rent/orlando-florida/liki-tiki-village/kid-friend-pool_ B. Another way to structure would be to remove the location and keyword folders and combine. Note that some of the resort names are long and spaces are being replaced dynamically with dashes.
ex. domain.com/main-keyword-in-state-city/resort-name
_ domain.com/family-condo-for-rent-in-orlando-florida/liki-tiki-village_ _ domain.com/main-keyword-in-state-city/resort-name-feature_
_ domain.com/family-condo-for-rent-in-orlando-florida/liki-tiki-village-kid-friend-pool_ Question: is that too many folders or should i combine or break up? What would you do with this? Trying to avoid too many dashes.0 -
Wordpress Woocomerce Recommended SEO URL structure
Hi Mozzers ! Thanks for looking. I have a new shop in development (http://www.vintageheirloom.biz), I'm now using WordPress & Woocommerce. I've asked Woocommerce whether it is possible to remove the 'shop' and 'product-category' categories. They say it is, but it isn't recommended, it can slow site speed & create possible duplicate pages. I'm wondering what seasoned SEO experts opinions are on my particular structure? I've heard that a flat structure is recommended, but ecommerce shops as I understand pose their own issues, so any feedback would be appreciated.. Here's some URL examples: http://vintageheirloom.biz/shop/bags/ - this for the category bags http://vintageheirloom.biz/product-category/bags/shoulder-bags/ - this for shoulder bags a child of bags category http://vintageheirloom.biz/shop/2-55-bags/vintage-chanel-caviar-skin-2-55-bag/ - a product The last URL contains the category 2-55 bags. The products name also includes the phrases 2-55 bag. Should this level of repetition be avoided or is it best to keep the whole phrase 'vintage-chanel-caviar-skin-2-55-bag/' for SEO purposes? Malware & Wordpress
Google has identified Malware on on eof our Wordpress sites. In webmaster tools it names the 10 pages where code has been injected. I cant' find them easily via the WP dashboard and wondered if anyone had had any experience of this and what steps they took? Plus are there any measure I can take to fight against this? How do you stop Wordpress spam
What's the best way to stop Wordpress spam? We don't let comments go live without moderation, so the spammers don't succeed, however it wastes time going through the comments. A captcha code could work but a lot of software can crack it. Are there any good captcha solutions or could something else work better/in conjunction? Also, is there anywhere to report spam IP addresses? Not sure much happens when you mark a comment as spam in Wordpress.
