Domain Authority Dropped from 13 to 1
-
Hi there,
I know Domain Authority is not a KPI, it's a relative metric but we saw a huge dropped down in our domain authority this week and I got worried. I am trying to understand why this happened? Any idea? Our website link is here https://www.wealthmanagementcanada.com
Is it something related to Moz update or with our website?
Regards,
Ahmet -
Actually, you are right. The reported links just went down to 0. I don't know why would that happen?
-
It would also be a good idea to check what happened to the domain authorities of competitors / similar companies. If they dropped off in a way that's relatively consistent with yours, that could be an indication of something related to the particular Moz update.
-
So the Moz crawl has been dropping links and picking up new ones on every crawl. Check your moz reported links. If there is a big drop here or none reported at all, it would explain your authority loss. Also as the moz crawl grows some links are not valued as high as others, this would also reflect the drop.

Domain authority get down significantly. Internal MOZ Issue? Google Algoritm Update?
I've noticed that several websites have lost DA since middle of october. I attached a picture. Could be this a MOZ internal issue like happened a time ago? Not only the DA get down, I have lost C-blocks links, too

My Moz domain authority fell last week but so did all 3 of my competitors. What could cause that?
As a loyal Moz Pro subscriber I track my site's authority, trust and links against 3 similar competitors. Last week my authority fell from 61 to 60 but all 3 competitors saw a drop in their authority that week too. Was the Moz domain authority calculation changed? Did anyone else see a drop or has something odd happened to just our market? Any ideas? Not sure if this is something I should address or just shrug and ignore. Cheers

About the rankings report in the Pro Dashboard, does it track the ranking of every page on a root domain, or just the home page or whichever page you set up the campaign with?
I noticed that one of the pages on my root domain has a #5 rank for a keyword, yet the ranking report says that there are no results in the top 50. So I am assuming it is only tracking the home page. That is one thing I liked about the Rank Tracker, that it would find any page that was ranking on a root domain. Thanks, Lara

Certain Domains no longer recognised by open site explorer
Afternoon everyone (well, it is for me), We've been tracking the linking root domains to our domain for around 6 months now, alongside tracking these domains we have also been engaging in linking building activities. Our initial activities worked quite well with linking domains rising from around 620 to 720 in 3 months. However, recently we have seen those numbers begin to fall away, in many cases it is because certain domains have stopped linking to us, have become no=follow sites or have been archived. But, in some cases we can see the link is still there, and is being registered by other tools such as yahoo or webmaster tools. My question is really, does anyone have a way of working out why a link, that was in the past being registered by open site explorer, is no longer registering and presumably no longer passing over juice to help with domain authority. What kind of signals should i be looking for to tackle a 'decaying' link? Looking forward to hear your thoughts!

Trifecta Report (domain)
Recently i have found that the data in the trifecta report is becoming less complete. For the last few sites i found that the report returned about half of the metrics it was looking for. For instance, it mentioned that one of the domains did not have a dmoz or wikipedia link/page even though they had both? Also, it rarely returns the Yahoo Site Explorer metrics even though when clicking to see the source the data is there? Are you guys planning on phasing out this tool, if not it seems like some work needs to be done on cleaning it up. Thanks!
