How would you build links to this page?
-
Hi i have ecommerce store and currently we are looking to build links to category pages like: http://www.theiconic.com.au/womens-clothing-dresses-party-dresses/
What are some natural ways to build links to a page like this?
Our SEO agency has done guest posting and forums but these are not natural link building methods and against Google policy.
Any suggestions on how to build natural links to these pages?
Cheers.

Why don't you try and do some kind of work with universities? This might be out of date now, please correct me if it is, but I think .edu and .ac.uk links tend to have a nice domain authority. Links from these sites could help your site's trust ranking increase.
Maybe donate blog posts about how to build a career in fashion to universities/colleges providing fashion courses. If they publish it online you get link juice. Where I work, we recently ran a workshop with some college students (in a lab, we're a scientific manufacturer) and they wrote a blog post about it. Good PR and we now have a link leading to our website from a .ac.uk domain – I actually saw our domain authority rise by 1 point after that link went live.
Anything you can do with education will always help. So internship competitions (have lots of different uni's/colleges publish a post advertising work experience with you) or any other collaboration.
Cheers
Mike

Wozniak65,
I believe your ultimate goal is to drive sales of these dresses. Maybe reach out to high profile fashion bloggers. Possible give some samples of your goods to get a review and post on their websites. If they are influencers this could drive extra traffic to your pages. You will have to partner up and build some relationships to be able to get these category links on relevant sites.
Thanks,
Don

Internal links to landing pages
Hi, we are in the process of building a new website and we have 12 different locations and for theses 12 locations we have landing pages with unique copy on the following: 1. Marketing...2 SEO....3. PPC....4. Web Design Therefor there are 48 landing pages. The marketing pages are the most important ones to us in terms of traffic and priority. My question is: 1. Should we put a dropdown of the are pages in the main header under locations that link to the area marketing pages? 2. What is the best way to link all the sub pages such as London Web Design? Should these links just be coming off the London marketing page? or should we have a sitemap in the footer that lists every page? Thanks

Adding Video to Landing Pages-Beneficial SEO Effect in Terms of Links & Visitor Engagement?
I run a New York City commercial real estate in New York City. Lately, I have started to produce 30-second videos about property listings and neighborhoods. I have noticed that the engagement for these videos on Facebook is much higher that for text posts. Should adding these videos on our website (hosting them on Youtube) result in increased visitor engagement? Could there be a positive SEO effect such as more links and higher quality links? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, Alan

Link Audit - Sponsor/Partners Images Links
Hi everyone, 1. I'm conducting a link audit and read that if you are a sponsor or partner of a company, links should be nofollowed. I always no follow them if they are money keywords, but branded I leave alone. is that a good strategy? Or do i nofollow my brand name as well? 2. What if I'm a sponsor and have my company logo on their website that links to my website? How would i know if that link should be nofollowed? a. Does it depend on the "alt" of the image? b. Does it depend on the landing page of the link of the image? c. Do i just no follow image links from sponsor pages and partner pages as a whole? Please keep in mind that I'm sponsoring websites that are relevant to my niche. PLEASE HELP!

301'ing over 700 internal links to the main page
I just got a contract for a site. After I analyzed their website, I noticed that they have over 700 pages indexed. However, their internal linking structure sucks. It's basically all 700 pages in one directory. What do you recommend? I redirect all the internal structures to their new locations, or would it be better to redirect all those internal pages to their main domain name, and build a completely new seo-friendly structure? Redirecting their current pages to each individual page is gonna take a lotta time, and I don't think they're gonna pay for it. :l

Two links from one page with different Anchor text
Example Business Name - UberPuter UberPuter targets the keywords "Computer Repairs" right from their home page. UberPuter has the option to place links on 150 of their customers pages that are happy with the service. Would it be best to place two anchor text links one with the brand name and one with the keyword anchor text in "computer repairs" pointing both at the home page or should UberPuter only place one link back to the home page for the Keyword Anchor text? To the best of my knowledge G only counts the first link on a page as a "Vote" so my thought is to only include the single link with the keyword anchor text. Thanks,
