Hi There,
You can edit SEO information for your Sitecore based website using this guide https://doc.sitecore.net/sitecore_experience_accelerator/working_with_content/search/improve_page_seo .
If you have rightly optimized content structure on the pages, it will be best to leave it as it is. The Google search engine will dynamically generate Title and description in SERPs based on the content of your page, in my experience that will be more useful for users and generate more clicks.
I hope it helps.
Regards,
Vijay

Thanks Sean. I would like to know how Google inputs meta title, description and keywords for a page that does not physically exist. How will a dynamic page appear in Google organic search results?
-
Our technology is .net (cms: sitecore). Will this be something that the developer will code for us? Just curious to know how Google will display meta titles and description for a page that does not physically exist.
-
When you say meta tags is there something in particular you're wanting to do? Meta Tags accomplish a number of different tasks. Some as simple as a text description in Google search, others will make Twitter Cards and large thumbnails for Facebook's open graph. Some can tell pages not to index certain
urls with robot crawlers.
How specifically you add them in your content is quite simple. Almost always meta tags will be placed in the header like say the meta description for a post on how you add meta data to dynamic pages:
name="description" content="This page is about how to properly use meta tags on dynamic pages or any page" />
-
It totally depends on the technology being used for your website. If you are using WordPress then Yoast plugin is good enough to get you the Meta tags optimized for all pages. If you are using any other technology, then there will be different steps altogether.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have further queries.
Regards,
Vijay

Combining products - edit existing product page or 301 redirect to new page?
We want to combine existing products - e.g. 'hand lotion' and 'body lotion' will become 'hand & body lotion'. As such, we'll need to combine the two product pages into one. What would be the best route to take in terms of SEO to do this? My initial reaction is to create a new product page and then 301 or 302 redirect the old products to the new product page depending on if the change is permanent or temporary. Would you agree? Or am I missing something?

Page title contents
In my page title, I have my product name. Is it beneficial to also include another keyword like: Buy wedding dress online Australia: e..g. (page title) amelie wedding dress | buy wedding dress online Australia. Or is it better just using: Amelie wedding dress

Noindex pages being indexed
Hi all Wondering if anyone could offer a pointer on a problem i am having please. I am developing an affiliate store and to prevent problems with duplicate content I have added name="robots" content="NOINDEX,FOLLOW" /> to all the product pages to avoid google penalties. However, Google appears to be indexing product pages. When I do a site: search I see a few hundred product pages in the engine. This is odd as the site has always had noindex on these pages. Even viewing the cache of the indexed page shows the noindex meta tag to be in place. I'm at a loss as to why these pages are being indexed and could do with removing them asap to stop any penalties on the site. Many thanks for any help.

Meta Title for large Metro Area landing page
Hello! I am creating "metro landing pages" for an organization that has a 10-18 locations per metro city. The landing page houses brief information about the organization as a whole and then it has the locations listed with links to their respective pages. My question is how to optimize these titles. My sample city is Atlanta, GA. This metro page includes 18 locations from the Atlanta area. Marietta, Sandy Springs, Decatur, etc... My question is what is the best Meta Title to use for a Metro Page like this? Would it be best to say Day Care in Metro Atlanta | ABC Childcare Company | Child Care Atlanta Area or is their a better way to optimize a large Metro landing page? I really appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!!!

Landing Pages
Howdy Guys, We currently have around 19 landing pages that are near enough identical for each make of car. The content on each page isn't identical but you can tell its a template. Do you think we should change this and just target models instead of makes. Thanks, Scott

Would removing high dynamic pages though nofollow help or hurt?
We have a sub-domain that is hosted by a third party. These pages are highly dynamic (change daily or more often) as they are product search results. Unfortunately they are raising several errors and warnings including duplicate page content, title missing or empty, long URLs, overly dynamic URL Would putting nofollows on the links to this sub-domain help, hurt or not affect page rank? As an example: Links in the middle of this page (prices) http://targetvacations.ca go to a page such as this http://travel.targetvacations.ca/cgi-bin/resultadv.cgi?id=16294922&code_ag=tgv&alias=tgv which is then redirected to a dynamic URL and presents the results.
