Is there an automated way to import Keyword Rank Tracker data in Google Data Studio?
-
I am creating an SEO Dashboard in Google Data Studio.
While it's easy to import data from Google Search Console, I have troubles in importing data from Mozzarellas tools.I thought about uploading a CSV file with the ranking to a Google Sheet Document, but I cannot find a way to do this at regular intervals with manual intervention.

The add-on only appears to import MozRank and link targeting information. Can you confirm that rank can be imported? Thanks!

To be honest I found Google Data Studio pretty horrible and was able to work much more easily with Microsoft's Power BI, though for corporations it's not free and the price-tag is steep
One feature that Power BI had was that, in addition to connecting to set platforms like Google Analytics, it could also connect to custom objects like an SQL database
If Google have been smart and kept up, I'd expect this to be a feature by now in Data Studio...

Looks like I was right!
This could make your life really easy as long as your rank tracking supplier provides an API for their tool. You can make requests to the API and build your own SQL database of that same data for your own records. The server holding the SQL database would have to regularly run API-based tasks to pull the data from your ranking supplier, into itself
Once that was done, you could then just connect to your SQL database via GDS
- You'd need a developer to build the database and the tasks which updated it (API fetches)
- If your ranking supplier changed their API significantly you'd have to pay to get it updated
- You'd need to pay to host your database online somewhere
Other than that... Seems like a good solution. Sorry it's not super cheap and simple - though!
Even if your ranking supplier provides back-end exports only and no API, you can still do what you want. You'd just have to create a script that uses a headless browser to export the data and then push the CSV exports to your database. Again you'd assuredly need a developer's help! Using something like Python's Selenium or Windmill modules might be feasible
Hope that helps

I have not used it, but Supermetrics, an add-on for Google Sheets and Google Data Studio, has a Moz database connector. they have a free trial to see if it works out for you.

Unsolved Did Moz Bar change to have no Keyword capabilities?
I'm trying to use it during SEO training over here and the KW button goes to a "Get Page Optimization Score with MozBar Premium - Try Free", with a link that takes you to: https://hsinfo.moz.com/mozpro/mozbar/lander?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Brand | NA&utm_adgroup=Brand - MozBar&utm_term=mozbar&gclid=CjwKCAjwxOCRBhA8EiwA0X8hi4Tx1YaOVwzWZaCGmzmYdBO4JEON8YlRMw52stp2AyfEBbH4uWDnARoCum0QAvD_BwE? Didn't this used to accept keywords and allow keyword checking? My training materials have the KW button behaving like this: [1] Do Keyword Research in MozBar.
Moz Bar | | EricaJorgensen
1. Click the icon with KW and a magnifying glass.
2. Enter a term related to your subject. For example, "cyber security".
There is a section telling you the keyword score, the relevancy to your page, and giving you optimizations that you can make to the page regarding this term.... Thus, I feel sure KW had useful and free features and not a button for a trial and paid Moz Bar Premium account. What is the pricing for this feature now? Or am I missing something? Thanks,

Monthly Ranking Comparisons on Custom Reports
Hi, We run MONTHLY Moz custom reports that compares rankings from the previous month, but some of the data just doesn't make sense. As an example, in the previous month’s report our ranking for “keyword X” was #3, when we look at the current month’s report our ranking for “keyword X” is still #3, but it shows that it’s gone up by 3 positions. This position change is not true if you compare to the previous month’s report! How can we know what dates we are comparing against? All the best, Lee.

Is Keyword Explorer now providing search volume by country?
I think Keyword Explorer was only providing search volume data for the US (whereas difficulty and opportunity were available at a country level) but recently I've started to see differences between the US volume data and the UK (see examples attached). Does this mean Keyword Explorer is now providing accurate volume data for the UK and other countries? DEIKsVJ 5kels

How do I pull a rankings report for a specific week in the past?
The date of the rankings I want is January 13th. I can see the individual keyword history in rank tracker, but I have to go each word. I'd like to just have that report to compare it to, since that is when a lot of our rankings changed. So I need that report to compare our future efforts with. Please advise and thank you! Ruben

Should I exclude prepositions in tracked keywords of moz analytics?
I'm new to Moz. Just set up my trial campaign, and it had suggested many keywords. Many of the phrases that were suggested do not contain prepositions. For example, instead of something like "sporting good stores in Chicago" it suggested "sporting good stores Chicago" Today, I looked at the on-page optimization suggestions, which are (of course) suggesting that I remove prepositions from my page to rank well. Well, as you know, that is unnatural to the reader. But I suspect people are searching in higher volume, leaving the prepositions out. I know that if I were to search for a sporting goods store in Chicago, I would probably leave out "in." What should I do? Should I remove all the suggested keywords, and make them readable (which people are less like using in their search?) Do I go back to all my pages and try to optimize it for a keyword that is natural, but does not include a preposition (such as Chicago sporting goods stores) or should I be doing something else?

Bulk Upload to Rank Tracker?
I know the rank tracker limits you to 200 keyword phrase checks per day. Is there a way to bulk upload 200 so you don't have to put them in one at a time?
