I have been trying for some time to take the online store to the front page, but it is very difficult to go up in google searches for the keyword ( sex shop ).

It is generally not prohibited to buy an old website with external links and redirect it to your own site, but it can have consequences and should be done carefully.
Firstly, the external links may not be relevant to your own site's content, and redirecting them could result in a negative user experience or even harm your search engine rankings. Additionally, the previous owner of the site may have agreements or contracts with the external sites that could be violated by redirecting the links.
Before proceeding with such a purchase, it is important to carefully analyze the potential risks and benefits and consult with legal and SEO experts and the best digital marketing agency. It is also crucial to ensure that the redirect is done properly to avoid any technical issues or penalties from search engines.

@Femamedia It's understandable that you're concerned about your competitor's seemingly questionable link-building tactics. Here are some answers to your questions:
• Reporting the issue: Yes, it's possible to report these practices to Google. You can do this through the Google Search Console's Spam Report tool or by filling out a Webspam Report form. However, be aware that it can take time for Google to investigate and take action on reported issues.
• Natural link building: It's commendable that you aim to obtain links honestly. Keep in mind that it's not always about quantity but quality. You can try to build relationships with other websites in your niche, create high-quality content that others would want to link to, and promote your content on social media platforms.
• Old website acquisition: While your competitor's strategy may have worked in the short term, it's not a sustainable long-term solution. As you mentioned, it's against Google's guidelines, and if caught, they could face penalties. Focus on building a strong and trustworthy website with quality content, and you'll likely see improvements in your rankings over time.

How to set up a competitor URL with a language slug for a campaign
Hello, I am trying to set up a competitor with language slug for my (subfolder) website with a language slug. Let's say my website is something like: websiteholding.com/de/website
Competitive Research | | Siir
My competitor is: competitor.com/de When I go to Campaign Settings > Comptetitor Sites > type in competitor.com/de > Hit Save Competitor > Then it shows the saved competitor without the language slug as competitor.com I am not sure if this is a correct method of tracking since for my DE website I would like to track the DE page of the competitor, not their global page. Please correct me if I am wrong and help me out on possible solutions? I am quite new to SEO & Moz , so any help on the topic would be appreciated.0 -
Unsolved Google results linking domains
When I check the linking domains of a root domain, a lot of Google results from other countries appear. Does this mean all of these domains are linking to my root domain? Can anybody explain this and tell me if this can be seen as spam or not? linking-domain-moz.png

Why is our website ranked lower but beats most competitors in full SERP report?
We are analysing why our website ranks so low (currently position 8 in serp). We beat our competitors in most areas. Also we produce by far the most useful content. Do not buy links or do any other malpractice. We have been for a long time ranked in top 3 (well mostly 1-2) positions. In the last year we have seen a decline to position 8-10 and we are not sure why this is the case. Can anyone suggest what we should be focusing on? We are clueless. All the practices we used to "know" now seem obsolete. m8qIeyC,Kf1LLei#0

External Links Massive Drop
In Google Webmaster Tools I have well over 1000 links. Now I appreciate that this will vary a lot compared to Open Site Explorer but that's showing just 45. Previously, before the last OSE update on the 28th I had 182 links so this is a big drop. My competitors use similar software (vbulletin forum) and have all increased in links and my actual links haven't dropped at all according to Google Wemaster Tools.) My MozRank has dropped a lot, as has the authority and trust. I know this is only a guide but it's very frustrating. My PageRank has also dissapeared (although was only 1 a month or two ago) so really not sure what's going on. Does anyone have any ideas. I haven't done anything that would penalise me in Google, just some tweaking of certain pages to try and help relevance and rankings. Cheers.

Site in top 3 with a 1-day old domain and no backlinks
Hi everyone, I'm trying to understand some searchresults, when searching in the netherlands for 'online casino':
Competitive Research | | iwebdevnl
http://www.google.nl/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=online+casino&pws=0 You'll see as position 3 result this website: http://bit.ly/qhRsUT, it's obviously that this site is there because of blackhat. But how did it come there such high for a keyword with high competition? I don't see anything wrong in the website? It's not like Google did something wrong, because it happened already a few times for this keyword with different domains from that owner. Regards, Yannick0 -
Do links from a linkdirectory still matter
Hi everyone, I'm checking out some competition for a webshop and i found a website which was quite high in Google for a searchterm, when checking it's backlinks why it was that high in google (His Content was rubbish, so it wasn't that). I only found out that it has loads of linkdirectory links, does this mean it still matters these kind of links, or does it mean the competition is just rubbish? Regards, yannick
