Setting up a google+ page for a decorating ideas business website
-
I am looking to set up a google + page for a decorating ideas website, should I create a business page or a community and where do circles fit in to this. Many thanks for your help I have seen how to set up but not sure where communities and circles fit in for business sites.
thanks

yes you can. Log in as the business and add communities to participate in. If you look at my example above you can see that we post in the star wars community allot. For us it's fun getting to be creative with others who have the same interests.

Thanks for answering - can I do the communities element from the business page?
-
Definitely the business page first. This establishes a presence and complete listing about your business in the Google eco-system. Content you place can be shared in such a way that Google Search results will display snippets such as the number of reviews received and number of positive ones. Your decorating ideas website is ideal for the concept inherent in Communities -- sharing with others who share your passion for decorating. Perhaps others can chime in about the importance of Google Communities for SEO purposes. Like social media in general, the more time you spend the more links you are likely to gain to you site, thereby improving DA/PA.

Hi Penny,
Create a brand and verify the account. You can link your G+ to your site and whenever someone +1s your google business page or site you gain authority. You can follow, interact, and circle others as a business, which is great at getting more +1s.
Once you have your business page set up you can post as the actual business and gain more +1 to your page. We've managed to get 1.3k +1's to one of our sites in 3 weeks. We post as the brand in communities that are interested in similar things.

Can I verify a Facebook Page with 28k+ likes on it?
Hi there, I want to get the Facebook page of a fashion blogger verified. This blogger has around 28,510 likes on her facebook book at the moment, can this Facebook page be verified? The blogger has been trying to get the FB page verification done for a long time without any luck. Now the blogger wants me to verify her Facebook page. How do I go about the process? It will be great if you can share a step by step process. And how long will it take to get the page verified? Also, I need to get this done soon, so a quick response will be appreciated. If you want any other info please let me know. Regards

Redirecting a page loved my Pintrest
Hi all, I'm after some advice on how best to redirect or retain any value a page might have from it's social shares (mainly Pintrest & a little FB). The page's original purpose was to be useful for people and hopefully pass some Google Juice to the main product page. I've created a new website and 301'd the pages to their new home. Now I'm going through my blog and I have a few pages that continue to get pinned around on Pintrest. Not sure the best way to retain the value. I was thinking of recreating the page on the new site and setting up a 301 redirect but I'm not sure if Pintrest follows along. Or maybe leaving the page on the old site and having a link to my main product page there (and it passing some value to the new domain). What do you think? Any other ideas that would be better? The page is: http://www.bringyourownlaptop.com.au/news/indesign-shortcuts-that-will-change-your-life/ The new home is www.byol.com.au. Thanks in advance Moz'ers! Dan

Is it worth setting up a Google Plus page for your blog?
Hi All, OK we all know the merit in G+, Authorship etc. I'm a regular user on G+ and I work hard to keep my profile up to date and with fresh content. I have no doubt my increased number of followers has helped my blog rank (which my G+ account is linked to). My question is - is there any merit at all in setting up a separate page for my blog so I can get +1s for it (probably very few). Much like any company page that gets +1s and people to follow that company. Or is this just plain silly and I should concentrate on building my personal profile? Thanks

Places for business vs. Google+ personal profile
I am still trying to figure out Places and Google+. Could someone please help me understand how my Google+ profile (that it attached to and can be accessed through my gmail account) interacts with my Places page (which requires my gmail credentials to administer, but can only be accessed through the Places page itself)? Do my posts on my personal profile enhance my Places listing? Any help would be appreciated.

Like my Facebook Page or my Facebook URL?
Like many other companies or company has a site and a Facebook page. With the Facebook like button your can either specify a url or a Facebook Page. So I don't know what would be better to get more 'likes' or if I need both? My thoughts: More people liking the Facebook Page then we can post updated to more people that will show on their wall. More url likes, I think this might have (or will have) effect on search engine rankings. The more people that like your url the higher it could be in rankings. I don't really want both as most people won't go through the trouble to 'like' both plus it is confusing. Please let me know your thoughts or strategy.

Is facebook and twitter always a good idea to promote a website and improve Google rankings?
I'm attempting to promote a fresh seafood market / restaurant here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I have not found a lot of examples of people using Twitter and Facebook to promote this type of business here. Is it hard to justify the time for return here? One benefit I thought for twitter is we could have tweets displayed on site giving us some dynamic content which would hopefully keep Google spider coming back more regularly is this correct? Is there any link building advantage to using these social media sites?
