Hello Moosa,
I really appreciate your answer on my question! Let me do it first...

Common case! In my personal experience there is no need of changing or removing pages from the sub domain!
Remember Google is picking up your review page because Google is finding it more relevant but what if the most relevant page according to Google link to another page that you want to rank?
I think you should link from your review page to the home page plus get some more good links that should target your home page and wait for the next crawl!
Probably this issue will be resolved!

Your Home Page is http://www.bannerbuzz.com/ while your Reviews are on http://reviews.bannerbuzz.com/review/18/Vinyl-Banners.
The first problem is that your Home Page is on the "www" subdomain while your Review Page is on the "reviews" subdomain. Subdomains are treated as separate websites by Google and so they are basically competing against each other for the same keywords.
I recommend moving your reviews to a sub-directory under the www subdomain so that your Reviews will have the URL like the following: http://www.bannerbuzz.com/reviews/18/Vinyl-Banners/
Your Review page has a lot more Text content than your Home Page. If you want to boost the rankings for your Home Page, make sure to increase its Text content.
Also, since you sell different types of banners, I reckon the Home Page shouldn't be the Landing Page for "vinyl banners". You should use one of your Vinyl Banner Category Pages instead:

Rel=canonical on landing page question
Currently we have two versions of a category page on our site (listed below) Version A: www.example.com/category • lives only in the SERPS but does not live on our site navigation • has links • user experience is not the best Version B: www.example.com/category?view=all • lives in our site navigation • has a rel=canonical to version A • very few links and doesn’t appear in the SERPS • user experience is better than version A Because the user experience of version B is better than version A I want to take out the rel=canonical in version B to version A and instead put a rel=canonical to version B in version A. If I do this will version B show up in the SERPS eventually and replace version A? If so, how long do you think this would take? Will this essentially pass page rank from version A to version B

"noindex" internal search result urls
Hi, Would applying "noindex" on any page (say internal search pages) or blocking via robots text, skew up the internal site search stats in Google Analytics? Thanks,

Duplicate content with "no results found" search result pages
We have a motorcycle classifieds section that lets users search for motorcycles for sale using various drop down menus to pick year-make-type-model-trim, etc.. These search results create urls such as:
Technical SEO | | seoninjaz
www.example.com/classifieds/search.php?vehicle_manufacturer=Triumph&vehicle_category=On-Off Road&vehicle_model=Tiger&vehicle_trim=800 XC ABS We understand that all of these URL varieties are considered unique URLs by Google. The issue is that we are getting duplicate content errors on the pages that have no results as they have no content to distinguish themselves from each other. A URL like:
www.example.com/classifieds/search.php?vehicle_manufacturer=Triumph&vehicle_category=Sportbike
and
www.example.com/classifieds/search.php?vehicle_manufacturer=Honda&vehicle_category=Streetbike Will have a results page that says "0 results found". I'm wondering how we can distinguish these "unique" pages better? Some thoughts:
-make sure <title>reflects what was search<br />-add a heading that may say "0 results found for Triumph On-Off Road Tiger 800 XC ABS"<br /><br />Can anyone please help out and lend some ideas in solving this? <br /><br />Thank you.</p></title>0 -
Google place listings and search results- quick question.
Has anybody else noticed that they are ranking better on 'places' yet they have dropped off in the actual search results? We've had no message through webmaster tools. The same seems to have happened to our competitors.

Help with pages Google is labeling "Not Followed"
I am seeing a number of pages that I am doing 301 redirects on coming up under the "Not Followed" category of the advanced index status in google webmasters. Google says this might be because the page is still showing active content or the redirect is not correct. I don't know how to tell if the page is still showing active content, and if someone can please tell me how to determine this it would be greatly appreciated. Also if you can provide a solution for how to adjust my page to make sure that the content is not appearing to be active, that would be amazing. Thanks in advance, here is a few links to pages that are experiencing this: www.luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/sunnyisles.html www.luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/summerield.html

How narrowly geo targeted should your Google Places page be?
Hi Mozers I'm still struggling with my London based client with two locations and one business. Basically she has a location in W1W 'Westminster' and a location in 'WD!' Borehamwood. Has anyone any good resources of input concerning geotargeting. I've done some searching but can't get quite the help I'm seeking. I'd like to make the Pages cover a 5mile radius and be highly specific to their locations. Is this the right way to proceed? Thanks

How can I see if my website was penalize by Google?
Hello, I have a website http://digitaldiscovery.eu that I have been working for 7 months. Everything is alright in the index of the search engines like Google, Bing e Yahoo. I also have like 1000 visits a month wich is not bad for the topic Im pointing at in my country. However my pagerank insist to be on 0, and I really dont understand why. Some of the my competitors that started at the same time, already have a pagerank of 3 and they do not have the same visitors that I do. In the rank system of Alexa im climbing very fast and the visits of my website are growing. So why does the pagerank dont climb aswell?! Tks in advance, Pedro M Pereira
