OSE Missing High Profile Linking Root Domains
-
Hi All,
I have noticed that Open Site Explorer does not appear to be totally accurate in the linking root domains it shows for a given site.
For instance, I have a site that I know for a fact is listed on dmoz (and has been for far longer than last Mozscape update), which should show up near the top of the stack. What gives? Do you think that this is also affecting my projected DA, PA, etc?
Thoughts and theories welcome.

I'm not surprised, OSE routinely misses many of our links. But none of the backlink checkers will be 100% accurate. Your best bet is to use a variety of sources - OSE, Majestic, AHREFs, etc. - and compile and remove duplicates to get a true picture of your backlinks.

Links between my two sites
I have a branded site (corporate site) that has links to my blog site. I am trying to locate all the links between the two. Most importantly from the BRANDED site to my BLOG. I've tried the inbound link but it shows I have none. What or how am I searching wrong?

On our domain residentiallandlord.com we are a little confused on the Compare Link Profiles option,I'm wondering if you can helpWe changed our domain a few years back and have our old domain redirected to our new domain. On our new domain we have only internal links visible, https://residentiallandlord.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/moz-rl.com.pngbut if you look at our old domain, which goes to our new domain it has loads of internal links, even though there is no physical site on this domain as it redirects to our new one, https://residentiallandlord.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/moz-rl.co.uk.png Can you help me understand why no internal links are showing for the new domain and how to fix this.

Ww.domain.com coming up with error
our domain is showing in moz with the following error in crawl reports Crawl Error We were unable to access your homepage, which prevented us from crawling the rest of your site. It is likely that other browsers as well as search engines may encounter this problem and abort their sessions. This could be a temporary outage, but we recommend making sure your network and server are working correctly. note that the url being displayed is ww.domain.com and not www.domain.com . we do not have a 301 in place, we have switched off wildcard forwarding from the server.. its acting as the url is a subdomain that is not working.. should i just ignore it?

Missing Title tags
My crawl diagnostics shows roughly 20+ pages with missing or empty title tags, however, the titles are viewable through the source code and there is only one instance of it on the page. This is not a wordpress site nor are the titles extremely long. Would there be any other reason for the crawl tool to not pick up these titles? An example page is: http://www.bestblanks.com/heatpresscomparison.html

While looking over my historical rankings for MozTrust I noticed a very large drop in my rankings (5 to 4) on July 2013 that never picked up again. What would cause this?

Link Metrics API: sort by domain authority not working?
I’m trying to make calls to the Link Metrics API (via the Linkscape gem); queries that set sorting to :page_authority work, but queries that set it to :domain_authority return Unrecognized API method: 'links/page_to_domain.domain_authority' Unrecognized API method: 'links/page_to_page.domain_authority' Meanwhile, Open Site Explorer happily sorts by domain authority. How should I query the Link Metrics API to get results sorted by domain authority?

Open site explorer linking root domains
My company has been trying to increase the number of linking root domains for a specific page on our website using our PR company and press releases that are sent out and linked back to this page. This is working nicely, but the number of linking root domains is still not increasing under the "linking root domains" tab. I am noticing the correct links to this domain under "fresh web mentions" though. I know this tool can take a bit to update, but it has been quite some time and I still only see the one link.
