How do you stop Moz crawling a page?

Hello, I have a contact form which generates thousands of duplicate crawl errors. I'm going to use to block Google indexing these pages. Will this also block MOZ from crawling these pages and displaying the error? Thanks!

Hi guys, Awesome discussion so far Yes, Chris is correct in that using noindex as a way to block Moz is not a effective way to do it.  Since our tool is not a typical indexer (such as Google), we don't have some of the behavior of a normal spider.  Instead, Roger is very good at rooting out issues that other crawlers might not notice.   One thing Roger is also good at is obeying robots.txt.... you know him being a robot and all Yes, Chris is correct in that using noindex as a way to block Moz is not a effective way to do it.  Since our tool is not a typical indexer (such as Google), we don't have some of the behavior of a normal spider.  Instead, Roger is very good at rooting out issues that other crawlers might not notice.   One thing Roger is also good at is obeying robots.txt.... you know him being a robot and all You can find more information about our friend here: http://moz.com/learn/seo/robotstxt http://moz.com/help/pro/rogerbot-crawler So if you are looking to block it from looking at a page without making content changes to your code, I would definitely look into using robots.txt. You can even use a user-agent specific directive to make sure you don't end up telling other robots/spiders to do the same thing. I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have questions Peter

On http://moz.com/help/pro/rogerbot-crawler Moz gives an answer to the question "We are still seeing duplicate content on Moz even though we have marked those pages as "noindex, follow. Any idea why? Moz is not a search engine index, it uses a crawler. If those pages are not blocked by the robots.txt file, then Moz will crawl them. They ignore the noindex tag because they don't index anything. Search engines will honor the noindex tag and not index a page if you specify with the robots meta tag. However, to remove pages from the crawl, disallow them in the robots.txt or metarobots. Their answer is not exactly clear, but according to it, no, a meta noindex will not block rogerbot from crawling your page.

Are we actually getting accurate data on keyword volumes from Moz (or other sources)?
I have a client who does patio furniture repair and restoration. When performing keyword research in Moz for terms like "patio furniture repair" I see that only 11-50 people in the entire US are searching for this term according to the Moz data. However, running an Adwords campaign currently and our top keyword is the phrase match for "patio furniture repair" which has generated over 100 clicks in just a couple of months in ONE county. Is there a better way to research more accurate results on search volume estimates? This makes organic SEO and keyword targeting hard! Thanks, Ricky Moz Bar | | RickyShockley1

Should I exclude prepositions in tracked keywords of moz analytics?
I'm new to Moz. Just set up my trial campaign, and it had suggested many keywords. Many of the phrases that were suggested do not contain prepositions. For example, instead of something like "sporting good stores in Chicago" it suggested "sporting good stores Chicago" Today, I looked at the on-page optimization suggestions, which are (of course) suggesting that I remove prepositions from my page to rank well. Well, as you know, that is unnatural to the reader. But I suspect people are searching in higher volume, leaving the prepositions out. I know that if I were to search for a sporting goods store in Chicago, I would probably leave out "in." What should I do? Should I remove all the suggested keywords, and make them readable (which people are less like using in their search?) Do I go back to all my pages and try to optimize it for a keyword that is natural, but does not include a preposition (such as Chicago sporting goods stores) or should I be doing something else? Getting 'Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible' error msg when trying to run On-Page Grader
I just signed up for MOZ Pro for the first time today. Tried to run the 'on-page grader' tool on some of my pages but I'm getting a 'Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible' error msg. I have verified against the robot.txt file that the pages are NOT blocking any crawlers. Can anybody help?
