How to avoid keyword stuffing in dynamic pages?

Our new home page which is in development has been identified as being keyword stuffed for a particular search word. The problem is that the page includes a dynamic feed pulled in from our database. It would be similar to booking.com for example coming up as keyword stuffed for the word hotel. But hotels are their business and so any instance of the word hotel is probably relevant. Our problem is similar. How detrimental would this be for SEO? And does anyone have any ideas how this can be worked round?

I agree with Trung. Keep in mind that any tool, including Moz's, take a one-size-fits-all approach. The tool is meant to warn you when your page doesn't follow best practices - but if there's a perfectly legitimate reason for the words to be there, don't sweat it. If the keywords make sense, by all means leave them in there.
You don't always have to follow best practices.
On the other hand, if you fear the page isn't ranking well because of over-optimization, there are other places you can controll use of keywords, such as the
- title tag,
- the alt attribute in photos,
- headers,
- the URL and
- incoming anchor text.
Often, for over-optimized pages, toning down the keywords in these areas can make a difference.
The one thing I would caution against is placing any text you want to hide in an iFrame, as Google is getting good at associating those with the page content.

We are using the Moz page grading tool.
What it comes down too is, does the Page Grading tool really reflect what google would interpret as Keyword stuffing or not? Using the grader sites like hotels.com and last minute.com the Moz on page grader says they are all keyword stuffed for the term hotels...a key search term for their business. After all every hotel is called Hotel Something.
I wonder if anybody from Moz product could help here.

This happens sometime that your keyword started to get stuffed as you are using that same keyword again and again on the same page. Actually tool is there to tell you that the amount of that particular keyword is more than normal on the page.
When it comes to keyword stuffing, I always believe that its not about how many times you are using one keyword on the page but its more about if the content on the website looks original and helpful to the audience?
In-case you think that the overall feel of the content looks stuffed then you probably should consider changing it but if not then you should carry on with that.

What tool are you using that is qualifying the page as being keyword stuffed? In my experience, if the keyword is highly relevant to your business, this should not be an issue with Google. More likely an issue with the tool you're using not factoring in business relevance to the keyword--in other words, looking simply at the number of times a word appears without taking context into account. Unless you're seeing a verifiable negative impact, I would not worry about this, assuming that the keyword is as relevant to the business as the example you've outlined above.
If you're really, really convinced that it is negatively affecting your rankings, then you can go wrap your dynamic content in an iframe to prevent search engines from associating the content with the page itself.

Dynamic referenced canonical pages based on IP region and link equity question
Hi all, My website uses relative URLs that has PHP to read a users IP address, and update the page's referenced canonical tag to an region specific absolute URL for ranking / search results. E.g. www.example.com/category/product - relative URL referenced for internal links / external linkbuilding If a US IP address hits this link, the URL is the same, but canonicalisation is updated in the source to reference www.example.com**/us/**category/product, so all ranking considerations are pointed to that page instead. None of these region specific pages are actually used internally within the site. This decision was done so external links / blog content would fit a user no matter where they were coming from. I'm assuming this is an issue in trying to pass link equity with Googlebot, because it is splitting the strength between different absolute canonical pages depending on what IP it's using to crawl said links (as the relative URL will dynamically alter the canonical reference which is what ranking in SERPs) Any assistance or information no matter how small would be invaluable. Category Page as Shopping Aggregator Page
Hi, I have been reviewing the info from Google on structured data for products and started to ponder.

You have a Category Page and it lists 8 products, each products shows an image, price and review rating. As the individual products pages are already marked up they display Rich Snippets in the serps.
I wonder how do we get the rich snippets for the category page. Now Google suggest a markup for shopping aggregator pages that lists a single product, along with information about different sellers offering that product but nothing for categories. My ponder is this, Can we use the shopping aggregator markup for category pages to achieve the coveted rich results (from and to price, average reviews)? Keen to hear from anyone who has had any thoughts on the matter or had already tried this.0 -
Duplicate Page getting indexed and not the main page!

Duplicate Page: www.domain.com/products-handler.php/?cat=service 1. My page was getting indexed properly in 2015 as: www.domain.com/service
2. Redesigning done in Aug 2016, a new URL pattern surfaced for my pages with parameter "products-handler"
3. One of my product landing pages had got 301-permanent redirected on the "products-handler" page
MAIN PAGE: www.domain.com/service GETTING REDIRECTED TO: www.domain.com/products-handler.php/?cat=service
4. This redirection was appearing until Nov 2016.
5. I took over the website in 2017, the main page was getting indexed and deindexed on and off.
6. This June it suddenly started showing an index of this page "domain.com/products-handler.php/?cat=service"
7. These "products-handler.php" pages were creating sitewide internal duplicacy, hence I blocked them in robots.
8. Then my page (Main Page: www.domain.com/service) got totally off the Google index Q1) What could be the possible reasons for the creation of these pages?
Q2) How can 301 get placed from main to duplicate URL?
Q3) When I have submitted my main URL multiple times in Search Console, why it doesn't get indexed?
Q4) How can I make Google understand that these URLs are not my preferred URLs?

Is a different location in page title, h1 title, and meta description enough to avoid Duplicate Content concern?
I have a dynamic website which will have location-based internal pages that will have a <title>and <h1> title, and meta description tag that will include the subregion of a city. Each page also will have an 'info' section describing the generic product/service offered which will also include the name of the subregion. The 'specific product/service content will be dynamic but in some cases will be almost identical--ie subregion A may sometimes have the same specific content result as subregion B. Will the difference of just the location put in each of the above tags be enough for me to avoid a Duplicate Content concern?</p></title>

Hi guys got a question regarding ecommerce seo do you think its a better idea to target more long tail terms and try get links directly to product pages, brand pages and categories. Stuck on Page 2 - What Would You Do?!?

Dynamically generated page issues
Hello All! Our site uses dynamically generated pages. I was about to begin the process of optimising our product category pages www.pitchcare.com/shop I was going to use internal anchor text from some high ranking pages within our site but each of the product category pages already have 1745 links! Am I correct in saying that internal anchor text links works to a certain point? (maybe 10 or so links) So any new internal anchor text links will count for nothing? Thanks Todd
