DA AND PA estimation based on Backlink or search engine traffic??

I'm want to know that estimation of blogs DA and PA based on search engine traffic(google,yahoo,bing) or it totally depend on link connected to that perticular domain.

Think about it this way: If DA and PA had anything to do with traffic, how do you think Moz knows what traffic a site is getting in order to factor that in the DA ad PA calculations?
They are based on link metrics.

Spam and Irrelavent Backlinks
Hey! We have a site that is fairly well ranking in a niche of the medical profession. It has a good link profile with great .gov links etc. OSE doesn't show most of the links, however all the ones it does show are all good. We noticed an across the board drop in rankings recently, and checked on AHREFS. What we found, was hundreds of backlinks to a variety of pages on the site from a wide range of spam/porn/Russian/irrelevant sites. Even stranger is that some of the links have anchor text like "continue shopping" but they link to a page on our site about a type of limb fracture. Has anyone come across this before? How is this possible? Thanks

Search traffic steady, Landing pages receiving traffic had massive drop
Following the week of Google's major algorithm update in January, we saw this graph in our Moz dashboard. (green bars are # of landing pages receiving traffic from search, blue line is traffic from search) Traffic from SEO grew slightly, but number of landing pages receiving traffic fell by more than 50%. We didn't make any changes to sitemap, rel=canonical, number of pages being published, etc. Traffic from top keywords held consistent. Number of pages/images google crawled and indexed grew per webmaster tools. Big spike in Nov/Dec is because we are in retail, seasonal not technical issues. Is anyone else experience the same thing? An algo change? Or something more specific to our site? Quality traffic is what we care about, so number of pages traffic is going to could be a positive thing (easier to optimize). But jury is out. Compare last and current month visited pages to know losing and gaining traffic
Hi, I like to compare current month visited pages to last month and want to extract a list of pages which were visited in last month but in current month. So I can check on which pages website is losing and gaining traffic. Is there any option in Google Analytic or Google Webmaster or in MOZ Analytics Companies ? Thanks, Rajiv

How do you run ranks now for clients that aren't in your local area now that Google customizes search results based on location?
How do you run ranks now for clients that aren't in your local area now that Google customizes search results based on location? What tool/service have you found that gives accurate rank results? To me it seems like there is no guaranteed global #1position any more, or is this the situation for only certain types of searches? Likewise how can anyone tool give a global accurate rank score?

New Backlinks by Week?
One of my competitors has recently got a surge of links and I need to work out where they've been focusing their efforts to make sure I don't get left behind. The only method I've really got at the moment is looking at saved reports from OSE and trying to find new links between them. This is obviously time consuming and has some odd results (Old content showing up only on newer reports for example and have to ensure that each weeks report is generated exactly the same). What I really need is a weekly output of where 2 or 3 websites have been gaining links. Can anyone recommend any tools that can help me with this? Thanks
