Having problems with OSE
-
I am getting error messages from OSE - it just keeps saying 'loading data' and then after a while 'there was a problem getting your data'.
Any ideas what wrong, I really need this for a meeting this afternoon in 1.5 hours.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here.
Sorry to hear about the trouble!
We were experiencing intermittent issues with Open Site Explorer yesterday and earlier today but the issue seems to be resolved now. Can you please try again and let me know if you're still seeing issues on your end?
If you are, an example of a URL you're experiencing the issue on would be a great example to provide to our engineers.
As always, you can email our team help@moz.com any time you're experiencing technical issues within the product for a faster turn-around time.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if there's anything else I'm able to assist with.

OSE: Missing back-links and High DA website with low DA backlinks
I have gone through a website with 81 DA; where its link equity back-links with highest DA of 70. Hardly 5 back-links 60 to 70 DA and just 25 root domains. This seems very unusual to me. Can someone clarify this for me? Can a website with low DA back-links can make high DA? If so what could be other major contributing factors for this?

Why is OSE showing a higher Domain Authority than Moz?
Moz has today run monthly reports for 2 of my clients' sites. For both of these, the Domain Authority reported on the Moz dashboard is several points lower than that shown by OSE today for the same sites. Why would that be?

OSE Getting Less Accurate
It seems that the more links I get the lower my DA is. My DA has been dropping for some time now as I gain more backlinks. It also does not seem to pick up anywhere close to the number of domains that is linking to my site. My url is hiddentriforce.com GWT says I have over 600 domains linking in. The majority of the links are from news or articles that we cover which other sites pick up and link to us as the source. We also have a ton of scholarship links from .edu and education sites from a giveaway that we do every year for students. Why does OSE seem to lower my DA the more I get off-page factors to the site?

When is OSE updated?
Hey there, It clearly stands that OSE will be updated, well yesterday... on 21th April. In my experience, they usually update the date if they have technical issues or something... ...but now they haven't yet made any changes.

How can Ahrefs be better than OSE ?
Dear Sirs and Contributors, I know this question is going to cause revolution, but I am paying for a subscription to moz every single month and I see that Open Site Explorer doesn't find baacklinks for some of my new clients when aHrefs can find more than 16 !! Why is this ? How can a free tool like ahrefs give me more information than OSE for which I pay for ? ;-(

OSE Stats - Number of Unique C IP's and PA/DA keep going up and down. Why?
For the past 3 months (if not more) I have been checking my sites stats on OSE and have noticed drastic decreases and increases in unique C-IP's, ranging from 600 to 1200. I have also noticed the PA & DA going up and down by 5 points. We have a talented team that work hard to market our business ethically with strong content and PR relationships, white-hat link building all the way, active social media and a dedicated on-site technical team. The data from MajesticSEO seems to be a lot more steady and consistent. Why is OSE showing drastic changes in 1 to 2 week intervals? Many thanks Ross
