Multiple Domains Appearing in SERP - 1 .com, 1 ccTLD
-
Our global domain and our US ccTLD domain both appear for brand searches in the US. How do I recommend to our Tech team to fix this, as it skews our Organic traffic numbers between the two domains? The brand is Sportradar. (Sportradar.com / Sportradar.us )

I'm currently specifying USA for the US domain, but the .com domain needs to be relevant for all countries besides the US and Canada. Can I specify more than one country to achieve this?

Low Index: 72 pages submitted and only 1 Indexed?
Hi Mozers, I'm pretty stuck on this and wondering if anybody else can give me some heads up around what might be causing the issues. I have 3 top level domains, NZ, AU, and USA. For some od reason I seem to be having a real issue with these pages indexing and also the sitemaps and I'm considering hiring someone to get the issue sorted as myself or my developer can''t seem to find the issues. I have attached an example of the sitemap_au.xml file. As you can see there is only 1 page that has been indexed and 72 were submitted. Basically because we host all of our domains on the same server, I was told last time our sitemaps were possibly been overwritten hence the reason why we have sitemap_au.xml and its the same for the other sitemap_nz.xml and sitemap_us.xml I also orignially had sitemap.xml for each. Another issue I am having is the meta tag des for each home page in USA and AU are showing the meta tag for New Zealand but when you look into the com and com.au code meta tag description they are all different as you can see here http://bit.ly/1KTbWg0 and here http://bit.ly/1AU0f5k Any advice around this would be so much appreciated! Thanks Justin new

Legitimatly handeling simmilar keywords without appearing to be keyword stuffing.
I'm running a sports supplement store in Brazil. Brazil (Portuguese) has absorbed allot of English, even when a very similar word is already in Portuguese. When a person searches for a product on google, the chanches are about 60/25/15 in terms of if they will use English / Portuguese, or a mix. For example: Soy Protein / Proteina de Soja / Soy Proteina I'm setting up the categories / bread crumbs etc in the store. Ideally I'd like to cover all these cases, but I don't want to appear spammy. How would you go about this? I don't really want seperate pages for the different languages, as it's all only targeted towrds portuguese speakers. The english just happens to show up in a portuguese language search. The problem is exacorbated, becase about 30% of the products are imported from the U.S. and these products have more of a 60/40 percent ratio of English / Portuguese searches. Should I just stick to Portuguese, and trust in google to be aware that 'Proteina de Soja' and 'Soy Protein' have a high correlation? Thanks in advance, -Eric

Multiple You-Tube Channels for Geo-Targeting ??
Hi I have a UK based e-commerce client/project who has authorised a US distributor/dealer to set up their own US site along with US focused Facebook & other socials etc etc Should they also have country specific YouTube channels (even if both target countries English language i.e. UK & US) ? They brand has lots of video content of 2 main types: Product reviews to host on the website (to win serps, snippets and hence conversions from search) Longer more entertaining productions to put on YouTube channel to captivate, entertain and eventually drive YT target traffic to website via 'in video annotations' external link feature etc. Hence it makes sense to me that the US agent should set up their own YT channel along with their other social pages like FB etc, since annotated links go to different sites (US & UK). Does Google allow this (multiple channels) If not and sticking with the one channel is it possible to geo-target in video annotated external links so depending upon viewer location serves up relevant country link ? Any other ideas, help/advice, comments from anyone who has experience in this type of scenario ? Many thanks Dan

CcTLD and duplicate content
Hello people, I would like some help with this question... I am building 2 websites www.domain.com.ec and www.domain.com , both on the same languages, and same content, but the domain.com.ec will show a different price for local ecommerce and focus to target Ecuador... the www.domain.com will sell on all the other spanish languages countries with a fob price... So my question ... is there any way to fail into the duplicate content on the google eyes? What could be the best way to do it? Using the multistore option, with different cctld could change anything? Thank you guys

Chinese domain offered for sale!! Very suspicious
We have been approached by a company offering us a chinese domain we would like to own, they are based in China but provide no company information and only their escrow account for us to transfer the funds. My first reaction is to run a mile but we have been asked to see if we can secure it from these people any urgent advice would be greatly appreciated as we have never done a transaction like this as the overseas domains are a new venture for us. Any guidance really appreciated.

Subdomain vs subdomain with ccTLD
Hi, We are about to launch a subdomain and I am not sure about which subdomain will benefit us the most: location.brand.com location.brand.co.uk Before I continue I must point out that unfortunately subfolders are not an option (sorry, hard to explain). Things to consider: Brand.com is a global site with very high domain authority, DA = 95+ Brand.co.uk has no content and simply redirects to brand.com Our product is hotels so local search is important and the local (national) market accounts for a good majority of the market. According to the following post if we were to go for location.brand.com we would benefit from ‘some’ amount of inherited domain authority but would loose out on Geo target bonus. If we went for location.brand.co.uk we would benefit significantly from Geo target bonus but would loose out completely on inherited domain authority http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/folders-vs-subdomains-vs-cctld-in-international-seo-an-overview I was more inclined to go for location.brand.co.uk as our SEO agency advised that we will not benefit from the domain authority as we will be considered a new domain. However, after looking into it further I am finding it hard to decide because if we could capitalize on brand.com and inheriting part of its domain authority then it could help our seo efforts significantly. Thanks!!
