Keyword explorer tool - keywords by domain functionality
-
Hi,
We have issues with the new searching for keywords by root domain functionality in keyword explorer. We are based in Australia and need rankings for google.com.au, which is what we have set up within our MOZ campaign ranking reports.
The explorer tool rankings are way off and not accurate for our site's actual rankings. Also, many of the top, high volume keywords that we are tracking and for which we rank on first page for are not even appearing when I do an explorer search using our root domain.
Is the root domain functionality within keyword explorer providing results based on google.com rather than google.com.au? Does this mean that if we are outside the US that we can't use the tool as it is not accurate?
Cheers,
Damien

Hey Damien, Dave from the Help Team here!
Unfortunately at this time Keywords By Site is specific to Google US. We hope to be adding more international search data soon!

Explain me how you use keyword explorer for SEO
Hello, Can you explain me how you use keyword explorer for SEO because I watched many video and after watching them everything is a little confusing... From my understanding, you have you main keyword let's say "Normandy bike tours". Based on that keyword you decide to cover TOPICS. Let's say I decide to cover D-Day landings, Omaha beach and and Caen on my page about" Normandy bike tours" ( I could cover more or others I imagine but now let's say those TOPICS are the ones I have decided to cover. From that point on what I understand is that I need to cover each of those TOPICS and the way to cover each of them is to type each of those words separately in the keyword explorer and look for words that the keyword explorer gives mes that it considers to be "semantically related" to each of those TOPICS. Then, if I choose the corrects one google will understand the different TOPIC and that should boost my ranking. Is it the whole idea ? PS : How many do you look at to find semantically related words ? 10, 20 or more ? Thank you,

What is the difference between Keywords Lists and Keywords Labels?
What is the difference between Keywords Lists and Keywords Labels - Aren't they both just ways to create logical keyword groups? Also, what does the Tracked label imply - If a keyword is added to a "keyword list" does it also automatically get tracked?

Keyword Ranking Report is Different than Real Result on Google
Hi Guys,
Moz Bar | | KanikaG
I am getting MOZ reports on a few keywords and that is good But when My client search for the same keywords he doesn't get the same rank, not even on that page. Let me explain in more details:
I have a keyword that shows on rank #5 in Google Mobile for a Local location for the current week. The client is from the same location as well. But when client search for that keyword from his mobile he doesn't get the keyword listed on that page, not even on other pages. I checked with other online keyword rank checker tool and all are showing the result similar to the Moz ranking report. It's really frustrating for my client. Google analytics shows that mobile users and organic reach are increasing so I am sure MOZ and other tools are showing us correct result. What could be the possible reason that he is not getting the same result as showing by MOZ? I am not from his location so how can I check the keyword result for the selected city using MOZ that is accurate? Any help would be highly appreciated. Please help. Thanks1 -
German blog post with mutated vowel. Page optimization says keyword is not used.
Hey guys! I'm trying to optimize for a keyword that includes a mutated vowel (ä for example). In the URL I simply put it as ae (which most sites that I checked do). For whatever reason it says the keyword is not used on the site at all - which isn't true. Is this a known problem? Haven't found anything in the forums. Thanks for the help. Florian

Why is Volume Data Vastly Different in Keyword Explorer Lists than Manual Search?
I have created a number of lists in the new Keyword Explorer tool, and finally had a chance to put them into my company documents. I noticed a drop in some keywords which I assumed (rightly so) was incorrect. For example, in my "list" I have the keyword mixed media. When I export the CSV it shows a volume range of 0-10. If I type just that keyword into the explorer I get a range of 4.3k-6.5k for mixed media, which is where I would expect it to be. (https://moz.com/explorer/overview?locale=en-US&q=mixed+media) This issue happened to about a dozen keywords at least in my list, and most of them are that major of a difference. Any idea what is going on here?

Domain authority for .melbourne
Hi there, We have been working on http://www.roofrestoration.melbourne/ for over 2 years now and the domain authority has not moved at all. Is this an issue with the .melbourne domain or is there a more underlining issue? Thanks for the help! Joel
