Crawl report shows that it gets 4xx errors for pages that work fine. Why?
-
On the crawl report it has all these "Critical Crawler Issues". They all say "4xx Error", yet when i click on the link from the crawler report, it goes to a perfectly functioning page, not a 404 page or anything. If i click in it actually says it's a 403 error. It's all for pages generated by the IDX solution for our real estate website.
Is Moz broken or am i missing something?
Here are a couple examples:

There are definitely other optimizations you can do, and Visual Composer may not be the biggest slowdown. I just noticed when I viewed the source code that it was inserting a lot of separate CSS files and so it may be contributing some. Other optimizations like going through PageSpeed Insights' recommendations may get you farther.
But any themes and plugins you use on a WP site, those resources are loaded across the whole site - even on pages they're not used on. So in a lot of cases, selecting a premade theme or having one built from scratch can make your site a lot faster than using page builders. Basically it's a tradeoff: do you want to pay someone to code a theme specifically for you and do the heavy lifting up front (or make design compromises and use a well-coded prebuilt theme), so the code that renders to visitors is lightweight; or do you want to just go wysiwyg on the admin side, so the code that renders to visitors is bogged down but you don't have to hire a developer?

Ugh, that's not good news since my entire site is built with Visual Composer basically.... Interestingly though, those pages are not even using Visual Composer. Those are pages that are generated by the IDX solution (iHomeFinder by Optima Express).

A 403 error means the crawler isn't being allowed to access that page. You should check robots.txt and if nothing is blocking there, check with your host to see if they can help identify why Roger is being blocked from those particular pages.

On a side note, those pages took a really long time to load for me, so I'd also look into site speed. Visual Composer for one is adding all sorts of different stylesheets and bogging things down.

How To Stop Moz Crawl From Prepending /blog/ on all our site urls that it crawls
Hello, At some time in the past our WP site had urls like this: www.oursite.com/blog/post-title-pretty-link The site has not used that url structure for quite some time, but Moz crawl is still hitting every post with /blog/prepended and as a result is generating thousands of 404s. When the /blog/ is removed from the url, then the urls work fine. Where are those old urls being stored and how can we update them? How do we address this issue? Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks!

Moz Crawl only crawling the top level page (1 page)
For the past few mounts my weekly site crawl has been inconsistent. One week works fine, it crawls all of my 500 or so pages. The following week it only crawls 1 page (http://mydomain.com) and nothing else. A few weekly scan go by and the crawl is back up the the 500 or so pages.I went ahead and created several campaigns with duplicate settings and crawled the site. Most times but not all the new campaign's crawl works fine crawling all pages. But within a week or two the weekly crawl will fail again. (crawling 1 page). Currently i have four campaign's all with the same settings running weekly crawls. 2 campaign's crawled the 500 pages and two crawled only the single page. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Moz Crawler fails on the first page
Hi guys, Can anybody shed some light, I'm running a crawl on a client's website but it's failing on the homepage and not crawling any other pages. It appears to be throwing an 804: HTTPS (SSL) error and then terminating the crawl. Now, the page in question was serving up mixed content up until about 4 days ago, but has since been fixed. I read that we should wait at least 48 hours before initiating another crawl to avoid hitting a cached version - which I did, but it still appears to be having issues. Is there anything specific I can do to get around this issue? I'm on a trial account and this feature is one I'm keen to test, so there is a bit of a time constraint. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Page title not being read
Hi all I have been testing my site with the Moz on page grader recently and every page seems to come up with the same issues. The keyword doesn't seem to be in the title tag or the title tag isn't there. Could anyone tell me why this is? This is an example of a page it is happening on https://www.sbat.com/tips/todays-free-horse-racing-tips I used several versions of the Keyword including free horse Racing tips Horse racing tips and it seemed none of these were picked up.

Why does the moz crawl test lists page twice?
Hi, I'm running into an issue where some crawlers list my pages twice, once with a trailing slash, once without. I first saw it on a few pages with screaming frog, then saw it happen on all my pages with the moz crawler. The site is www.kidsandart.org and its on Squarespace. I grepped the sitemap.xml I submitted to google webmaster and got 167 distinct pages, all of them without a trailing slash. Any insights on why this is happening, and how to regard moz crawler results would be appreciated. thanks Tom

Duplicate content reported for totally different pages
Hi, The Moz report is showing just over 21,500 duplicate page issues on our site. This is more or less every page we have. However when I look at the pages it says are duplicates they are totally different (it could for example report that a news page for 2009 is the same as a product page just added which has no relation when you read the content or view the page). What sort of thing could it be picking up as duplicate content? I assume it must be something in the HTML for the site rather than the actual page content as there is no cross over at all on the pages highlighted. The only issue I can currently identify is that the menu for the mobile version of the site has a huge number of internal links which I will cut down. If the tools purely look at HTML content this could be seen as duplicate but shouldn't it be clever enough to realise what is content and what is site structure? Thanks,
