Google June Core update massive drop in visibility and rank
-
Following Google Core update in June, I noticed that some websites has seen small improvements or stayed on same positions in SERPs, but our website received nearly 60% visibility drop.
Now, after two weeks, some keywords shows "slight" improvement, while majority of keywords still sits on quite low places in searches. Even others big brands got hit after update, but some competitors didn't and overtook our positions. Anyone else noticed any patterns after update and can share some thoughts?
Thank you.

Hi
Have seen it impact many sites. Most down, a few up. It is the continuation of the roll out or tweaking of the medic update. So the first major update August 18, then March 19 and then the June one referenced.
It was poorly named as the medic update - it really should be called the "entity update" or the "trump update". Most are saying it is about content - it is far more complicated than that. We have recovered a few sites from the August update. If your business sits within "YMYL" verticals - then there is plenty to be done. Usually, the largest job however in time, is a content audit, and then a re-write as the content usually coming up short on audit. The technical elements are just as critical from schema markup to uniform citations etc.
Not sure it helps, but your not alone.

the main pattern I noticed is that people who are doing 2013 'good SEO' and who haven't kept advancing, are rapidly falling behind - whilst those concentrating on the value proposition (watch until Miley stops outlining Issue #1) of their sites are really getting ahead. That video may be from 2012 but in reality, it's only now that value-prop work is becoming much more common, with webmasters concentrating on initiatives like the Skyscraper content technique or Moz's 10x content drive. To put it simply, 'good unique content' isn't good enough now
Going back some years you had Google saying, concentrate on your value proposition! Then some documentation was leaked which showed that they were really driving that point home, with stuff like the E-A-T guidance for their internal teams getting out there
It wasn't long (shortly before or shortly after) that smart guys like Rand began preaching, soon 'good unique content' would die and the effort required to compete would be much, much more strenuous (in order to achieve it)
Around April 2018 it began to 'feel like' these new requirements from Google (E-A-T, value-prop content) were really beginning to move over from Google's review team and into Google's search algorithms. Most people who have come on here recently complaining of drops from April-June 2018 or April-June 2019, haven't shown off sites which scream unique value-prop (or which look like the satisfy E-A-T)
The overwhelming pattern is that, people who have sat back and relaxed into their 'SEO legacy' are getting brutally shaken awake, whilst those whom are forging on ahead are reaping all the gains

Sizable decrease in amount of pages indexed, however no drop in clicks, impressions, or ranking.
Hi everyone, I've run into a worrying phenomenon in GSC and im wondering if anyone has come across something similar. Since August, I have seen a steady decline in the number of pages that are indexed from my site, from 1.3 million down to about 800,000 in two months. Interestingly, my clicks/impressions continue to increase gradually (on the same pace they have been for months) and I see no other negative side affects resulting from this drop in coverage. In total I have 1.2 million urls that fall into one of three categories, "Crawled - currently not indexed", "Crawl anomaly", and "Discovered - currently not indexed" Some other notes - all of my valid, error, and excluded pages are https://www. , so I don't believe there is an issue with different versions of the same site being submitted. Also, my rankings have not changed so I tentatively believe that this is unrelated to the Medic Update. If anyone else has experienced this or has any insight to the problem I would love to know. Thanks!

Google live blog schema
Live blog markup was rolled out to a selected group of publishers last year 2015. I'm trying to find out whether it has been released to other publishers yet (we are a news site). Not seeing any updates about it anywhere and wondering how I can find out if/when it will be available. This is the latest I can see which is not much help https://developers.google.com/search/pilot/open/live-blogs. Any insider info would be very much appreciated.

Https & Google Updated Guidelines
Hi We have https on aspects of the site which users directly interact with, such as login, basket page. But we don't have https across the whole site. In light of Google adding it to their guidelines - is this something we need to put into action? Also same question on the Accessibility point Ensure that your pages are useful for readers with visual impairments, for example, by testing usability with a screen-reader. Are we going to be penalised if these are not added to our site? Thank you

Drop in Organic Traffic
Hi all, last Thursday (1/31) our organic traffic and conversions fell off the map, going from 15% of our traffic to just over 5%. We've started creeping back up, we were nearly 7% yesterday, but I'm wondering if anyone else experienced an extreme drop in traffic or any advice on what we should be doing next. We are currently building links from University and government organizations and are always creating fresh content on our blog and website pages. One thing that we thought of is this timeline corresponds with when we created a Google + local listing for our company. Is there any possibility we stopped appearing in as many national search results since we have a local listing? Our domain is www.dishcostsless.com. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank!

Question about Google Algo Change on June 26
I have a client who's Google Organic visits dropped significantly on June 26th. I used a chart overlay called ChartIntelligence. It says that there was an SEOF update on 6/26/2013. Does anyone know what this update (or any other updates) would be? Also, where might I find additional info on this update. I did notice that Moz's algo change tracker listed a multi-week update on June 27, but I'm not sure where to find info on what types of things were impacted by this update. Any info would be helpful.

How do I separate 2 Google+ business listings?
Ever since Google Places started merging with Google+, my client's business listing is now showing up in local search results incorrectly under another business name who shares the same address as them. Has anyone else encountered this problem or a way to correct it?
