How I can deal with ajax pagination?
-
Hello!
I would like to have your input about how I can deal with a specific page in my website
As you can see, we have a list of 76 ski resort, our pagination use ajax, wich mean we have only one url, and just below the list, we have a simple list of all the ski resort in this mountain, which show all the 76 ski resorts..
I know it's quite bad, since we can reach the same ski resort with two différents anchors links.
Thanks you very much in advance,
Simon

Hi again,
I still have a question
If all my content is accessible without javascript (my ajax pagination), do you think Google with crawl all my content?
Search Engine cannot read js no?
-
Thanks a lots, I think we'll go for option 2.
Thanks again -
Hi,
There are 3 ways:
1. Use the nofollow rel to pagination links (that will promote your first page only)
2. Exlude ajax pagination and change the title of your page adding the page number at the end.
3. Verify if the crawler bot is (google, yahoo, bing) then put a variable to exclude ajax when the page is crawled
There is allways a problem using ajax on website (it makes duplicates)

Can I safely block my product listing from search? Does it even make sense?
Hi, I've an ecommerce website with more than 50k urls and only 10% or so are getting crawled regularly by Google.
Technical SEO | | GhillC
Product listing pages represent roughly 80% of these 50k pages. Trying to improve this, I was thinking to remove altogether all (most?) of my product listing from search (via Robot.txt) to keep only the product pages themselves and the product categories. My organic situation since Jan 2019:
Users: 2,300,000 (of which 9% are visiting product listing pages)
Page views: 8,000,000 (of which 5% are product listing pages). Am I about to unleash armageddon (or more like harakiri) on my website by doing so or actually get Google to crawl much more relevant resources (product pages, product categories, blog content and so on)? Thanks,

Can you use a seperate url for a interior product page on a site?
I have a friend that has a health insurance agency site. He wants to add a new page, for child health care insurance to his existing site. But the issue is, he brought a new URL; insurancemykidnow.com and he want's to use it for the new page. Now, I'm not sure I'm right on this, but I don't think that can be done? I'm I wrong? = Thanks in advance.

Can you use Screaming Frog to find all instances of relative or absolute linking?
My client wants to pull every instance of an absolute URL on their site so that they can update them for an upcoming migration to HTTPS (the majority of the site uses relative linking). Is there a way to use the extraction tool in Screaming Frog to crawl one page at a time and extract every occurrence of _href="http://" _? I have gone back and forth between using an x-path extractor as well as a regex and have had no luck with either. Ex. X-path: //*[starts-with(@href, “http://”)][1] Ex. Regex: href=\”//

Can Googlebot crawl the content on this page?
Hi all, I've read the posts in Google about Ajax and javascript (https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/174992?hl=en) and also this post: http://moz.com/ugc/can-google-really-access-content-in-javascript-really. I am trying to evaluate if the content on this page, http://www.vwarcher.com/CustomerReviews, is crawlable by Googlebot? It appears not to be. I perused the sitemap and don't see any ugly Ajax URLs included as Google suggests doing. Also, the page is definitely indexed, but appears the content is only indexed via its original source (Yahoo!, Citysearch, Google+, etc.). I understand why they are using this dynamic content, because it looks nice to an end-user and requires little to no maintenance. But, is it providing them any SEO benefit? It appears to me that it would be far better to take these reviews and simply build them into HTML. Thoughts?

Can spiders crawl jQuery Fancy Box scripts
Hi Everyone - I'm not a technical person at all. I have some content that will be hidden until a user clicks "learn more" where upon it will be displayed via jQuery Fancy Box script. The content behind the learn more javascript is important and I need it to be crawled by search engine spiders. Does anyone know if there will be a problem with this script?

Pagination or View All
Right now our site is using ajax and we need to change it so all 200+ products will get crawled not just the first 52 on page first page. We are looking at doing the rel=next/ rel=previous or doing it so we have a link going to the View all product page. Or maybe doing the rel=next/ previous and using the canonical to point to the view all etc. I have read http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1663744 and http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2011/09/view-all-in-search-results.html about it. Now we are trying to figure out what is the best option. Thought. Here is our site. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/t/49/-/181/750/Motorcycle-Tires-All Also if we do not do the rel=next just make the view all items as a link that google can crawl is there a way to still have our current url be the one for view all items but only show 52 item unless the click view all items and not have it look like cloaking? Hope this made sense.
