Video SERP assistance needed
-
I'm working on a site with a great deal of video content. We also have a youTube page. I've recently created a site map and submitted to Google. I really want for our videos to show up in our search results, but so far, nothings happening.
Site: www.roydwyer.com
Any advise to what's missing?
Thanx in advance!

Thank you again. I very much appreciate your time and help!

**For your first question, **
Yes, from <url>to</url> is 1 video.
so you have to add for each video you have on your site.
**Concerning the second question, **
it doesn't matter what you name the file.
but when you finish creating the sitemap.
- Log into Google webmaster tools with your Google Account* Click ‘Add a Sitemap’ next to your site.* Select ‘Video Sitemap’.* Put in the URL of your Video Sitemap. * Click ‘Add Video Sitemap’.
Cheers

Another brief question as I'm implementing this - the sitemap you've sent, is that all for one video? So, I'd need to tailor each of the above information for each of our videos - yes?
lastly, since there is already a sitemap in place for the site structure, is my name for the file ok for a video sitemap? 'sitemapVideo.xml"
-
much gratitude!
I'll correct that immediately.
best,
Alicia

That is the Issue,
while submitting a Video Sitemap is should be like this
<urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9" xmlns:video="http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap-video/1.1"><url> <loc>http://www.example.com/videos/some_video_landing_page.html</loc> <video:video> <video:thumbnail_loc>http://www.example.com/thumbs/123.jpg</video:thumbnail_loc> <video:title>Grilling steaks for summer</video:title> <video:description>Alkis shows you how to get perfectly done steaks every time</video:description> <video:content_loc>http://www.example.com/video123.flv</video:content_loc> <video:player_loc allow_embed="yes" autoplay="ap=1"> http://www.example.com/videoplayer.swf?video=123</video:player_loc> <video:duration>600</video:duration> <video:rating>4.2</video:rating> </video:video> </url></urlset>
you are using the normal sitemap layout and not using the video sitemap version.
the most important information that is required to submit threw the sitemap is
* url * title * description * Thumbnail of the video * location of the video where is hosted (ie /videos/video1.flv)

http://www.roydwyer.com/sitemapVideo.xml
(hmm... it's not very pretty)
-
Can you please provide your video sitemap url.

My SERP Rankings are unbelievably inconsistent, how is it possible
Almost all of the keywords i track in moz's keywords ranking report show insane inconsistency. nearly all my keywords (according to moz's rank tracker history) were in the first or second rank for a week or 2 during the last 6 month.

nearly all my keywords were nowhere in the top 5 pages in the weeks prior or after the week that the keyword was ranked at the top of the first page. I'm adding a image of an excel chart showing the ranking - each row is a different keyword, each column is a different date. 51 means 51+ (or - nowhere to be found in the first top pages) Could you please help me make sense out of this? How can it change so frantically? Thanks, eZDVEEW.png0 -
Need some help/input about my Joomla sitemap created by XMap
Here is my current sitemap for my site http://www.yakangler.com/index.php?option=com_xmap&view=xml&tmpl=component&id=1 I have some questions about it's current settings. Need help understanding "Clone sites"
I just read an article about Panda and it warned against against Clone sites: "Clone sites are a strong panda factor (JM, Mar 10, 2014)" I don't have any clone sites, but there are dozens of sites with imitations of mine. We were the first in the area of interest, and then all these other sites that imitated us popped up. None are exact replicas. But many have spun some of our articles and used them to create their sites; the site structures are not identical though. Google seems to know we are the original site on the topic since we are ranked #1 for most terms. Would these be considered clone sites in their eyes?

Does Having A High PPC Bounce Rate Affect Organic SERPs?
Hi Mozzers. My website uses a landing page for Google Adwords traffic targeting keywords like HR Software, HR Systems etc. The design of the landing page is similar to our website but a key difference is that, being a landing page, we've removed the navigation (it is still possible to navigate to the main website by clicking on the logo). We've A/B tested this and found that by removing the navigation we get more people converting/signing up for the free trial of our service. We track conversions using Google Analytics. Depending on the keyword the conversion rate is between 2.5% and 5%. However, because we've removed the navigation the bounce rate is really high, circa 80% for our landing page compared to an average for our website of approx 40%. Would having such a high bounce rate harm our organic rankings for the rest of the website? Thanks

Posting same video on both Vimeo and Youtube
A client likes the control of Vimeo Pro for embedding videos on site, but for search purposes would like to create a YouTube channel with the same videos, perhaps with altered titles and descriptions. This is the same video content in two places - will we run into duplicate content issues? Thank you, Stephen

Schema markup for videos: Are video schema tags only for use on video hosted by a site or do they also apply to embedded videos hosted on YouTube?
We do not currently have a native video hosting solution for our site and instead embed videos that are hosted on YouTube. Can video schema markup be used for YouTube hosted video? Thank you.

Mobile URLs stolen and I need them back!
Hi guys, Mobile SEO question. So some time in the past, my client accidentally got a whole bunch of m.example.co.nz URLs indexed due to a link on another website and the awesome relative URL links on my client website. However, now they're building a mobile website and they want all those m.example.co.nz URLs. My question is, if we build a new mobile website and use those mobile website URLs including those already indexed by Google, will Google automatically know after crawling those URLs that they are now for mobile users? Will it change the pages to it's mobile index? Or will it be a case of duplicate content? Thanks Kim

Old Redirecting Website Still Showing In SERPs
I have a client, a plumber, who bought another plumbing company (and that company's domain) at one point. This other company was very old and has a lot of name recognition so they created a dedicated page to this other company within their main website, and redirected the other company's old domain to that page. This has worked fine, in that this page on the main site is now #1 when you search for the other old company's name. But for some reason the old domain comes up #2 (despite the fact that it's redirecting). Now, I could understand if the redirect had only been set up recently, but I'm reasonably sure this happened about a year ago. Could it be due to the fact that there are many sites out there still linking to that old domain? Thanks in advance!
