I would be more tempted by Andrew's suggestion of hiring someone, instucting them and then putting them to work rather than completely handing over control to a 3rd party - especially one based on another continent, where as many of us know, there are many dodgy link buidling and SEO outfits (there are many probably good ones too but we don't here about those).
-
No, there's no harm in hiring a third party to do link building - however, I tend to shy away from third party link builders because I can't confirm their tactics. I can only ask them questions to try to understand how they're adding links.
What I generally do when I'm focusing on link building is hire an intern for minimum wage, instruct them what to do, and monitor the results. That way, I know exactly how links are being built, and I can maintain the quality assurance.
It might not make sense in all situations, but rankings are too important to me to neglect quality for cost.

yeh cheers is a hard one working on the web you dont see who your working with.

There is nothing wrong with using a third party service for link building (it's the same thing as having an internal SEO do it for you, regardless of what people say). However, you need to make sure they're building WHITE HAT links. There IS a difference between a white hat authoritative link that is RELEVANT and links that are spammy. Get samples of their work and test them out on a dummy site first and see if it's XRUMER type linking or real manual links. That's my thoughts on it.

Google showing different links in SERPs
Google search results are showing my site links in both URLs, "mydomain.com" and "https://mydomain.com". However the one with https is showing a favicon, and the other one is not. So i wanna keep the https one and remove the other one. I went to GSC to submit "mydomain.com" for removal and it said that URL will be deleted in ALL of its variations. So how do i delete the "mydomain.com" links? Should i just index the ones with https again? Would that work? Someone suggested me to do 301 redirect on all pages that are being displayed twice. But i am not sure if i need to do that since i am using squarespace, and both of the links lead to the same page?

Houston Company Needs Help (Will Our SEO Work Be Destroyed While Site is Down?, Can Anything be Done?)
I'm a Moz member, mostly just lurk, and love the Moz community. I work at a non profit company that does benchmarking data and helps school districts improve process in education. Our building flooded and our site is currently offline, is there anything we can do to stop/lesson any SEO page rank drop between now and when we are back up? We have worked very hard to get these rankings. I know it is minor compared to all tragedy in Houston, but we have worked hard to get these SEO gains (YEAH MOZ!) and I'd hate to lose them because of Harvey. Any suggestions, assistance appreciated! Ralph

We use SLI for our searches and are thinking of just going back to the searches on our platfrom Bigcommerce
Does anyone have any experience with the advantages of using a search product like SLI in comparison to the search available on Bigcommerce. We currently use SLI for the searches on our site but think over the years we have been using SLI that the searches on Bigcommerce have improved and we are thinking of switching back to using the Bigcommerce search. Regards Adrienne

A large News Media Group has a News Vortal and 3 magazines (for kids, health, fashion)
All those different mediums have their content in independant websites (since the branding of all 5 Medium is very strong).
My question is how to croslink them editorially for seo purposes?
Is it ok if i put a news box at every magazine site?
Should i create links to news articles or to news categories or both?
Do links from unrelated sites dilute your rankings for your key phrases ? Thanks in advance0 -
Using the same Google Analytics account for two sites
I have a friend who is concerned that his competition is trying something funny to show high traffic. The competition has two sites using the same GA tracking code. What impact would this have on his actual traffic. One site has high traffic 7500 daily the other site has 150 daily but gaining momentum
