In OSE is there a way to see the total number or links coming from each domain?
-
Open site explorer will only show up to to 25 links per domain but in order to fully understand the link profile for the site I'm working on, I need to know how many links are coming from each domain - when I download the linking domains report, it doesn't contain this information.
Is there a way to access it?

Hi Jabbate!
I know we answered your question through the customer service ticket you submitted, but I thought I'd show it here too in case anyone else had the same question. So, here goes:
You can obtain more than 25 links per domain by using our API, which allows you to build your own tools off of our database. If you have an SEOmoz account you can generate credentials there and start playing around instantly. You will need a developer to write some code so that you can make requests for information directly to our database. That developer will probably also need to build you an interface so you can view the results and make sense of them. The API allows you to innovate and build your own tools, or incorporate our data into tools you already have.
You can learn more about the API here: http://apiwiki.seomoz.org You can review sample code here:http://apiwiki.seomoz.org/w/page/Sample-Code
Let me know if there are any questions!

Thanks. That would work but it seems like there should be an easier way. OSE has the info so I don't know why it's not accessible. I can't believe this issue hasn't come up before. I sent a support request to MOZ on this topic and haven't heard anything yet. I can't believe this hasn't come up before.

You could run Xenu Link sleuth on each of the domains then sort by name until you find how many links go out from it to a specific URL. Will take a while to run if they're big sites but still.

Domain Name Portfolio Management?
I am looking for some software, or an excel spreadsheet, or some way to manage 50-100 domain names. Maybe something a reseller of domain names would use? Something that keeps record of different whois information for different domain names, tracks IPs, nameservers, FTP logins, etc... I think excel would be best for this if there was a way to have the expiration date pulled so I dont forget to renew a domain name by mistake, and so I can easily keep track of them all in one place. I have seen a couple software programs out there for this, but none really meet all the needs I have. I also looked into some kinda database software with a nice GUI (MS Access, or FileMakerPro) but I dont know them software well. Any Ideas?

How best to gain Followed Linking Root Domains?
Hi All, Sorry if this question has been asked before. I've had a look through the Q&A sections and I couldn't really see anyone who'd asked the question as direct as this? Basically, I'm using the SEOMoz competitive domain analysis to compare some of our domains and our competitors domains and see where we're falling down. At the minute, we seem to be only scoring around '31', whereas our two closest competitors as 32 and 33 on the overall score. This still seems pretty low to me (maybe it's not) so I'm assuming we can make some good headway. At the minute, the analysis shows that we're beating our competitors hands down with the number of links to our site, these are all relatively good quality and they haven't just been spammed out there to gain links. We are however struggling to get followed linking root domains. As I understand it, these are basically just links from domains not on the same IP that are followed? Since I've seen this, I've looked through the open site explorer and gone through all of our competitors sites to get backlinks from URL's linking to them. I've had fairly good success with this but they only seem to have gone up by 1 - 2 links. Does this only get updated once a month? In addition to this, does anyone have any tips on how to build up followed linking domains? Kind Regards
