Dofollow Blog Comments
-
I wanna buy dofollow comments, can be there any negative effects? I understand that is a kind of a black hat seo, but i saw many sites who used this type of service and get boosted in the search engine ranking.
-
That's a highly valid point. Same goes for if it's a clients site.
-
If you're planning on doing this with a non-disposable, branded website it's a bad idea as there are can be lots of negative effects.
If you're planning on being black hat, having a network of disposable sites, and are going to be masking (or trying to mask) everything you do, it's just another tool in your toolbox.
Like people already mentioned here, it's better to make worthwhile comments that can be traced back to a reputable looking source as those could even have the added benefit of bringing you additional business, not just a boost in the rankings.
-
You might be joking but I've seen comments like that haha
Such services are often easy to spot I think
-
lol.... if you pay the wrong person for this service they could post stuff like...
"Visut da coolest Wigit sight un da intranet - Pruneabic Bohan is a bad mudda."
That will make you look really good if messages like that are plastered all over every blog in your niche.
Would be best to buy services like this for your competitors. lol

You'll probably get some complaints by blog owners, and it really doesn't do a lot anymore anyway. Most of the links will be either removed fast, the ones that stay will be on blogs that aren't maintained and are therefore full of thousands of other spammy links for Ugg boots and viagra, and the rest will be on blogs that are both irrelevant and practically worthless in terms of what it will give you.
You could always just find a few decent blogs that are dofollow, give a good response and add the link yourself
More likely it will stay that way.
-
I think it depends, those do-follow comments really give a initial boost to your sites but the vast majority of those sites the comment section is not Auto Approve and the guy who is selling you this service for sure is not going to comment on all the sites, he will use some program.
Based on that maybe you would have a much better result doing it by yourself, really comment on the blog posts, adding value to the owner of the blog and, by consequence, getting a high approval rate of your comments/links.
-
Personally, I would avoid this strategy. If the site selling the dofollow comments is caught by Google then Google could determine that you bought a link and penalize you.
Can you find any sites in your industry that remove the nofollow tag from comment of users who participate a lot on their blog? I'd focus my efforts on such sites.
Not that I'd necessarily recommend this, but you could always report your competitors to Google if they are indeed buying links. Before you do this I'd make sure that you were playing by Google's SEO rules.
-
The most likely negative result is that Google will know that the links are paid and they will pass no value - thus wasted money.
Another potential negative result is that these links will stink up your link profile and your rankings will suffer. Nobody knows exactly how google detects of measures this.
If you have a great site stay on the white hat path.... if the only way you can get links is by shady methods... guess you are stuck with them.

Blog articles on website vs submitting to article submission sites
I had some articles created for a client. The site is on WordPress. I'm wondering if it is best to add the articles to the blog page of the website or if it is better to submit the articles to ezine articles. Or can I submit the same article to both places? Is there a strategy that should be followed generally speaking when creating content for the blog vs article submission sites? The goal is to increase the ranking for target keywords. I realize that the answers could take a lot of different directions. But generally speaking I would like to know, If I have an article where is the best place to add it to achieve better rankings for target keywords? Thanks for the help.

Is commenting on other peoples blogs / articles good for seo?
Hello everyone, Just a quick question, say if I find some websites which are relevant to my service and they have articles I can comment on and include my URL , will these help for SEO? The websites also have a good PR rating higher than 3 does this count towards anything? Would these links be classed 'follow' or 'nofollow' links - could something please explain what this means aswell. Thanks very much!

Reposting my articles on other blogs - good or bad?
Hi there! Our blog is full of really good articles on consumer finance topics. Recently we established contact with some local media and even government agencies who said they will be happy to repost our articles on their sites. Question: is it ok to repost our articles as they are and link back to us, or shall we rewrite them to make them 100% original? The media doesn't insist on original content, but I'd like to get SEO benefit from it (the sites are really good). If original content gives us more SEO value, we're happy to do it Please advise. P.S. Using rel=canonicals is not an option (it's government websites and some old school media - they are very not tech savvy).

What after I place a blog comment
I have started commenting on high PR DoFollow blogs more strongly off late. I don't do it just for the heck of it. I comment on relevant posts, go through them nicely and make sensible comments. This way I make sure my comments are not removed by the admin, What I want to know is... What after I make the comment and put my website's URL there? Does that mean I have got a backlink already? Or do I need to do something else too to make sure Google recognizes that as a backlink? I have the same question regarding forum postings too.

Creating a separate blog off our website
A while ago we purchased some domains that are related to our industry. I'm fairly sceptical about using them, but I am interested what peoples thoughts are. We are currently producing quite alot of engaging content and although it's industry related, it is sometimes quite broad and not always appropriate for our company blog. I have been debating whether or not it will be a good idea to use one of the domain names that we have purchased to create more of an industry blog that is off our website. I'm not sure if this is considered a "black hat" technique by using domains registered to us? And also whether or not Google will punish because we are blogging from the same IP address and linking back to our site ? I look forward to hearing what people think. Thanks,
