What is the best SEO Seminar/Training option in the US?
-
I have 3 years of SEO experience and am an SEO Manager. I am well versed, though much room for growth and education. I want to find an SEO Seminar or training program that best suits my needs. It seems most are a one size fits all seminars. Any recommendations, thoughts or ideas?

I can't see how you could beat MozCon. While I am not in the business of SEO, I asked my wife if I could go to Mozcon for my birthday gift. She laughed and said I have serious problems, but it would be a kick to listen to an meet the people who are so far ahead of the curve.

Well SEOMoz is having their MozCon in Seattle in July. That's a good start for you
Also, there are the Pro Training DVDs which teach advanced tactics. They're pretty reasonably priced, however I'm not sure how up to date they are. You may want to call SEOMoz to find out.
You may also want to check out the Distilled guys for their events and training. I hear really good things.

I'm kind of in the same boat you are. I've really been digging deep into the SEOMoz blog lately, have been attending every webinar, have been trudging through the Q&A, have been reading Danny Dover's SEO Secrets, etc.
The best way I've found so far to become more educated about SEO is just to stay involved in this community and keep busy in the trenches. When I do more managing than actual SEO'ing I find myself getting behind sometimes.
Hope this helps!

MarketMotive is the best I've done in terms of not being so targeted at beginners. Plus if you do a Master course, you get to do there other courses at practitioner level (if you do them quickly enough)... meaning some great other learning i.e. Web Analytics by Avinash.

Yelp (recrawl Google/Bing)
If Google and Bing show an older version of a site's Yelp rating in the search results, what options are there to help ensure Google and Bing recrawl the Yelp page? Additionally, it appears third-party sites such as MapQuest show Yelp ratings and appear in Google search results; is it possible to request MapQuest to recrawl Yelp and then ask Google to recrawl MapQuest? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Direct is taking over my SEO traffic in Mobile iOS and Android Devices
WIth all the buzz of mobile has anyone taken a look to dig into the SEO traffic by device (desktop vs mobile). Well I did and surprising my desktop trend was not even close to mobile traffic. Surprising to know that due to the security updates in iSO and Android organic traffic (traffic with out tracking codes) is getting bucket into Direct. (Yes we all know Direct traffic is dirty dirty label traffic that analytics platforms can identify.)http://www.rimmkaufman.com/blog/estimating-google-organic-search-visits-hidden-by-ios-6/17122012/http://www.definemg.com/recover-your-android-4-and-ios-search-traffic/ Feels like SEO is receiving no love... didn't we have enough with Google encryption, we didn't get the keyword but at least got the referral! Have you notice in your traffic and what are you doing about it?

Small Business SEO Recommendations
I work for a company that manages websites for several hundred small businesses. We do a good job with on-site optimization but don't do any link building for our clients. Occasionally, clients are in desperate need of links and ask us for recommendations. I've had a tough time finding a balance between quality consultants and affordable prices. I understand that link building campaigns, in general, carry a hefty price tag, but of our clients can't afford any of the big name agencies. We've also had a few of our clients get burned recently by bad link building and I don't want to point them in the wrong direction. Does anyone have any recommendations for companies or freelance consultants that do good work without breaking the bank? Thanks! Tim

SEO Referral
Anyone used an SEO or SMM company that they would recommend? I know about the recommended sites on SEOMOZ, but I can't afford to pay someone $4K a month for consulting or link building. Anyone still feel safe outsourcing?

How many small businesses use SEO?
I'm looking for data (not opinions) on how many small businesses use SEO, that is, either do it in-house, hire a firm, or hire a freelancer. I've poked around on SEMPO and eConsultancy but can't find what I'm looking for.
