Why does my crawl report show just one page result?
-
I just ran a crawl report on my site: http://dozoco.com The result report shows results for just one page - the home page, but no other pages. The report doesn't indicate any errors or "do not follows" so I'm unclear on the issue, although I suspect user error - mine.

Thanks Sha. The content is "ours" - at least in so far as we've pulled it from retailer sites and or affiliate networks and modified to fit our needs...so not entirely ours, not a pure duplicate either. We do operate a fund raising site which shares the content which is something which I hadn't considered until now...will have to decide how to handle the duplication across the two sites. That said - the rest of your points are well taken and appreciated. We'll have to do some further research into the javascript points and determine how to best handle.

Thanks Keri - very helpful.

Hi William,
As indicated from the help page that Keri provided, the problem is that the page is entirely rendered in javascript and SEOmoz crawlers do not follow javascript links or redirects.
Of course, the reason why the SEOmoz crawlers do not do this is most likely because Google's (and other search engines) stated position is that they are "getting better" at handling javascript, but the likelihood of trouble free crawling for googlebot is likely low or at the very least unknown.
Bing now has an option in its Webmaster Central that lets you indicate that javascript crawling is required for a site. I have not seen any information on the effectiveness of this as yet, but you could investigate that by hitting their help forum.
Even if search engines manage to crawl the javascript without issue, there are other significant problems with the content on the site. It appears that the site is a multi affiliate whitelabel? All of the text is actually being pulled in from an external page and that page contains content that is duplicated across many other websites. This is the case with every "page".
Unfortunately, all of these things add up to a fairly bad SEO situation. Your best option for generating traffic would be to become massively popular through social channels and use them to feed traffic to the site. That is assuming that this whitelabel platform does not give you the option to create your own content (which would be much better).
Another alternative would be to create a site on a new domain with awesome, unique, shareable content with links to feed traffic to this site, but if you are going that route, making people take an extra click through a second domain on the way to the retailer's site would not be optimal for conversions. So it would be better to add direct affiliate links within the pages.
So, on the whole, I would say that ramping up your social activity is your best approach.
Hope this helps,
Sha

Here's a post from the help desk with a couple of reasons for that. http://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/409821-why-isn-t-my-site-being-crawled-you-only-crawled-one-page. If that doesn't take care of the problem for you, email help@seomoz.org and they'll work with you on getting the rest of the site crawled.
I'm looking at a site:dozoco.com search in Google and all the URLs I see look like http://dozoco.com/#!/store/us-pets. The #! may be the cause of the problem; I'm not exactly sure how Roger deals with crawling that.

Crawl diagnostics incorrectly reporting duplicate page titles
Hi guys, I have a question in regards to the duplicate page titles being reported in my crawl diagnostics. It appears that the URL parameter "?ctm" is causing the crawler to think that duplicate pages exist. In GWT, we've specified to use the representative URL when that parameter is used. It appears to be working, since when I search site:http://www.causes.com/about?ctm=home, I am served a single search result for www.causes.com/about. That begs the question, why is the SEOMoz crawler saying there is duplicate page titles when Google isn't (doesn't appear under the HTML improvements for duplicate page titles)? A canonical URL is not used for this page so I'm assuming that may be one reason why. The only other thing I can think of is that Google's crawler is simply "smarter" than the Moz crawler (no offense, you guys put out an awesome product!). Any help is greatly appreciated and I'm looking forward to being an active participant in the Q&A community! Cheers, Brad

The pages that add robots as noindex will Crawl and marked as duplicate page content on seo moz ?
When we marked a page as noindex with robots like {<meta name="<a class="attribute-value">robots</a>" content="<a class="attribute-value">noindex</a>" />} will crawl and marked as duplicate page content(Its already a duplicate page content within the site. ie, Two links pointing to the same page). So we are mentioning both the links no need to index on SE.But after we made this and crawl reports have no change like it tooks the duplicate with noindex marked pages too. Please help to solve this problem.

Crawl Diagnostics Shows thousands of 302's from a single url. I'm confused
Hi guys I just ran my first campaign and the crawl diagnostics are showing some results I'm unfamiliar with.. In the warnings section it shows 2,838 redirects.. this is where I want to focus. When I click here it shows 5 redirects per page. When I go to click on page 2, or next page, or any other page than page 1 for that matter... this is where things get confusing. Nothing shows. Downloading the csv reveals that 2,834 of these are all showing: URL: http://www.mydomain.com/401/login.php url: http://www.mydomain.com/401/login.php referrer: http://www.mydomain.com/401/login.php location_header: http://www.mydomain.com/401/login.php I guess I'm just looking for an explanation as to why it's showing so many to the same page and what possible actions can be taken on my part to correct it (if needed). Thanks in advance

Issue with Opesiteexplorer report
Hi, When I pulled backlinks report for my website from opensite explorer. I see the backlinks listing for my homepage is duplicated with index page. Ex. For a external website my homepage www.website.com as well as www.website.com/index.php shows as backlinks. Note: I had given rel=canonical tag to my homepage and index.php is 301 redirection to the homepage. I find this error only to my homepage and I don't find this issue to my inner pages. I would like to know whether this is an issue with opensiteexplorer or a problem with my homepage url. Your answers are appreciated.

Why are these pages considered duplicate page content?
A recent crawl diagnostic for a client's website had several new duplicate page content errors. The problem is, I'm not sure where the error comes from since the content in the webpage is different from one another. Here's the pages that SEOMOZ reported to have duplicate page content errors: http://www.imaginet.com.ph/wireless-internet-service-providers-term http://www.imaginet.com.ph/antivirus-term http://www.imaginet.com.ph/berkeley-internet-name-domain http://www.imaginet.com.ph/customer-premises-equipment-term The only thing similar that I see is the headline which says "Glossary Terms Used in this Site" - I hope that the one sentence is the reason for the error. Any input is appreciated as I want to find out the best solution for my client's website errors. Thanks!

"Issue: Duplicate Page Content " in Crawl Diagnostics - but these pages are noindex
Hello guys, our site is nearly perfect - according to SEOmoz campaign overview. But, it shows me 5200 Errors, more then 2500 Pages with Duplicate Content plus more then 2500 Duplicated Page Titles. All these pages are sites to edit profiles. So I set them "noindex, follow" with meta robots. It works pretty good, these pages aren't indexed in the search engines. But why the SEOmoz tools list them as errors? Is there a good reason for it? Or is this just a little bug with the toolset? The URLs which are listet as duplicated are http://www.rimondo.com/horse-edit/?id=1007 (edit the IDs to see more...) http://www.rimondo.com/movie-edit/?id=10653 (edit the IDs to see more...) The crawling picture is still running, so maybe the errors will be gone away in some time...? Kind regards
