Wordpress templates

Hi.
Anyone recommend a good source or membership scheme for 3.0 wordpress templates that are coded to be SEO friendly and with good support.
Looked at www.templatesold.com but they get very poor reviews
www.templatemonster.com seem to only sell templates individually

If you're unable to accomplish what you need with Artisteer, then Headway may be an ideal solution for you. I agree wholeheartedly on Yoast's SEO package, BTW.

Thanks for the responses.
I have no coding skills, so I pretty much have to stick with the exact template I get. I have used Artisteer 3 and its ok, but as easy as Artisteer 3 is supposed to be I am still not crazy about it. Thesis may have a lot going for it but as a non coder I would be lost with it.
The Headway Theme software which Gil has mentioned below, looks interesting for somebody who is illiterate at coding. As I already have a subscription for Artisteer 3, would I be wasting my money investing in Headway in the hope that is provides a real solution for a non-coder. I had the same expectation with Artisteer but it's still to complicated. On reading my own post, maybe I am looking for something that does not exist.

Yeah always look at the feedback from those sites you are interested in. I am veyr happy with the one I use from TrueThemes - those guys cant do enough to help

Themeforest - Good templates - offten more visually 'cutting edge' support levels can vary though - have used this too and been very pleased with results.

Thesis is, for the most part, an excellent template. It frustrates me that Thesis insists on 'controlling' the SEO parameters, rather than allowing this to be done by a dedicated SEO plugin - like Yoast's Wordpress SEO plugin. I have to say the Thesis developer, Chris Pearson, has publicly announced (on twitter) it will be a 'cold day in hell' before he allows a plugin to control the SEO (See: http://yoast.com/themes-plugins-seo/ )
Frankly this 'Jobsian' attitude toward the various preferences/requirements of the Thesis user - drove me away from it...
(There is a compromise of sorts I found here: http://www.seomoz.org/q/thesis-vs-yoast-wordpress-seo-plugin )
Overall Thesis is inded an excellent framework, but this issue is too big to be completely overlooked.

Themeforest - best ones I have come across :0) http://themeforest.net/

Top SEOs seemed to be very happy with Thesis (see for example http://www.sugarrae.com/blogging-advice/a-review-of-the-thesis-wordpress-theme/, http://www.wolf-howl.com/blogs/thesis-wordpress-theme-review/) but recently some have been switching over to Headway (see http://www.chrisg.com/why-headway/). Generally Thesis seems more powerful. Headway's biggest edge seems to be that you can do some customizations visually, without coding.

www.studiopress.com - excellent templates and support is first class!
EDIT: These all support WP 3.0 and are SEO friendly too! (They have modified the SEO functionality)
However, the framework also allows you to run Yoast Wordpress SEO - which is generally considered the best SEO plugin for WP. http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/

Do Wordpress sites outrank SquareSpace?
I was a big fan of Wordpress. I used it for 10 years. However, because I run a very small business, the constant upkeep needed on WP in the end started to frustrate me in the end, so I moved to SquareSpace. However, I am beginning to question my decision, as one of my sites is struggling really badly, and I mean badly. The other sites are okay. So I started asking around, and most people are saying there shouldn't be a difference. A few people have said their Wordpress sites always outranks their SquareSpace sites. Then I read what Rand Fishkin said in the below Twitter thread, now I am even more confused. I am very reluctant to move to Wordpress, its just so much hassle. But at the same time, if a site doesn't get much traffic then it's useless. https://twitter.com/drew_pickard/status/991659074134556673 https://twitter.com/randfish/status/991974456477278209 Please let me know your thoughts and experience.

Safest Route to Get from Drupal to Wordpress
Hi all, I have a prospective client who currently has a Drupal 7 site and they are interested in converting it to Wordpress (or simply building it new in Wordpress) and changing CMS. They would like to update the look of their site to make it a little more modern, but they are very concerned about preserving their SEO and rank, etc so they plan to keep the structure and urls, etc. pretty identical to what they have now with only minor cosmetic changes for the moment. I want to find the best and most economical route for them to take for a change like this. If an actual conversion/migration is the way to go, then I also want to help them find a professional developer they can trust to do the job correctly as I am not a Drupal person. I guess my question concerns what would be the safest and most economical route to preserve the SEO and rank, etc. that they have now? 1) Would that be an actual migration and conversion of their current site into a custom WP theme that's structured as closely as possible to the site currently? 2) Or, depending on the ultimate complexity of the site, would it be possible to leave out the step of migration altogether? Would there be huge cons or red flags to starting from scratch and manually building a custom WP theme while duplicating the architecture/links/urls, etc. as closely as possible to the current site? Anything else to be worried about if this is a possibility? 3) Or would you suggest some other way entirely? Thank you so much in advance for any guidance or suggestions on this! They are really nice people and I just want to make sure they do this safely because they get a lot of business from their site and they are justified to worry.

Replacing Slider Image WordPress
Hi Everyone, I decided to delete my slider from my homepage and replace it with a static image. However, after I deleted the slider, I'm left with a dark square where the slider used to be. I want to put my new static image in that same spot, but have no idea how. Does anyone know where or what code I should add to do that? The page is www.kempruge.com The WP Forums never seem to be too helpful for me, but Moz always is! Thanks in advance, Ruben

How import are breadcrumbs SEO wise on a wordpress blog?
I was recently told I should take the breadcrumbs off of our site, for if no other reason than that it would look much nicer, and I tend to agree. I was curious how much seo weight breadcrumbs add to a site, and if I would take a big hit if I removed them... Thanks!

Missing Meta Description Tag - Wordpress Tag
I am going through my crawl diagonostics issues and I have lots of "Missing Meta Description Tags". However when I look at the url's they are Wordpress Tags, which do not have a meta description. Shall I just ignore these errors or should I find a way to add a meta description? Is it important?

Changing from Squarespace to Wordpress - Will I Lose My Rankings?
I have a friend who has a squarespace site that is giving him lots of trouble. For one, even though it is supposed to redirect to GreenSpaceConstruct.com...Bing and Yahoo don't seem to recognize this domain. Instead, they show greenlightconstruct.squarespace.com in the serp's. Oddly, Google shows the site as GreenSpaceConstruct.com. The site is ranking well for some terms. I'm afraid that converting to wordpress will hurt his rankings in the short term. If bing and yahoo are crawling this squarespace domain, and he moves it...is there a way not to just completely lose the rankings? Thanks for any thoughts. Much appreciated! Josh
