Using Facebook as a PAGE, how do I set up a landing page?

Now that facebook has different types of pages and no FBML anymore apparently, does anyone have up to date instructions of how to set up a landing page for when you use Facebook as a page?

I have my account with a number of client pages in it. I don't appear to get the ability to ad apps to these page

There are several add ons you can use, and then set the add on as the default page.

Most of them work by showing an iframe for people who have liked, and one for those who haven't.

Facebook Page - About/Description/General About/Mission - Questions

Hi, Im just setting up a FB fan page for a client How terrible is it to use clients websites home page descriptive copy as the Facebook page long description ? Language is in Turkish which i don't speak so i'm not able to edit a new version of it just for FB and no budget to hire Turkish speaker to come up with something. So was going to copy & paste but that would be duplicate with HP obviously. How important is it to fill in 'Mission Statement' & 'General About' ? Especially if long description likely to already include that info ? I think long descrip is important for FB pages on seo etc etc but a good one eliminates importance of 'Mission' & 'General About', or is it still advisable to fill these in or are they just extra boxes for flexibility ? I take it when it comes to securing a vanity url (once we hit 25+ fans) for a foreign language version FB page it should ideally be brand name (which includes a keyword) in the local/target language ? The page name is already the brand name in English but since contains keyword is it best to rename into local target language similarly to the url for consistency and local targeting or better to keep one in Turkish and one in English ? Is there Anyway of finding out a companies facebook shares?

Is there anyway of finding out a companies facebook shares. When I checked out a competitor of one of my clients who seems to be very well placed without many links I discovered that they have over 298 facebook shares on Open Site Explorer but when I look at their site or search on facebook I cannot find any business facebook page for this company so I am really intrigued to find out where they are getting these shares from? Does anyone have any ideas?

How should I structure my facebook like buttons?

I have a facebook like button on my homepage. Currently, it points to my facebook page, so every time someone likes this button they are liking my facebook page. Is this how it should be structured? Do the likes count towards my home page? Is there a way that a like can simultaneously like my facebook page AND my website? Which is best for search metrics? Thanks for your responses.

Best Practices for apps.facebook.com pages

A client of ours has experienced a large drop in traffic (per GA) from apps.facebook.com referral source in the last 30 days. After a lot of searching, its apparent that there is not a lot of chatter on this topic. So this is a twofold topic..... 1. has anyone observed a drop in apps.facebook.com referrals lately as well? 2. does anyone have any best practices learning on optimizing these pages? Facebook guidance and content in general on the topic is virtually not existent. How do website owners gain from facebook scams like this?

I've noticed two things that are going wild on Facebook this week: http://timhortonsgiveaway.me/ and http://promoforipads.net/ In the first scenario, you supposedly just click share and they'll send you a $25 Tim Horton's gift card. (For those who don't know Tim's it is a very popular coffee shop in Canada). There's no way this is happening...they claim to have something like 5000 cards to give away. In the second one they're apparently giving away 1000 ipods. Yeah...OK. So, they're obviously scams that are just trying to get a few zillion facebook shares. But why?
