Need advanced SEO help!

Hi guys,
This is my last attempt to work out what is up with this site before it goes to the big Flipper in the sky (and even then I doubt it will make much more than £1!)
This site was a successful site, then one day Google decided it didnt like it, and I have not had much joy with it for nearly a year now. I must admit I tried to forget about it for a while, but it has always been a thorn in my side due to the fact it used to be a nice little earner.
I have SEOmoz crawled it and I cant find any issues that would cause such a severe penalty, I removed many of the affiliate links, clocked the rest of the affiliate links and tried numurous other ideas, but now, as a last ditch attempt I am looking for some help!
I tried to avoid the typical thin affiliate site by adding relevant content, but I have seen sites with much poorer design and content rank higher than this one.
Any ideas welcome!
Thanks in advance

You've not got that much in terms of link diversity, or from much that's relevant. Directories, blogs and forums, links pages, etc... that don't pass a lot of value. 11 Linking Root Domains, including directories, some are nofollow. Not a lot in terms of quality links. And then your anchor text needs a little more diversity too: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/www.nintendowiifitconsole.co.uk%252F/a!anchors
Google will often let a new site rank well for a bit before knocking it back down again.
Also, my personal belief is that Google's not all that keen on affiliate sites anyway... I lost rankings on mine from Panda.
I reckon all in all, if you get some more, higher quality links... and as it appears now some social signals too, then you'll start ranking much better

You are being displaced by sites with much stronger domain authority. Yours is 22 and you are competing against sites with 60+.
You need more links from strong sites. You only have 19 linking root domains compared to sites having thousands.
I would also start using social networking by including Facebook LIKE and ShareThis on each product.
All that I would say is that much stronger sites have come into the market and pushed you down.
a) Work on on-page optimization to ensure keywords are optimized
b) build strong inbound links
c) get your social on

P.s I also used to rank for 'Nintendo wii fit console' (my domain name) & 'my personal golf trainer' at the top, but now I give up searching past page 10 for it.
-
It is indexed, but for example, I used to be on the top of page one for the term 'red wii console' and it would go to the designated red wii page, but now I am on page 8 with a page that has nothing to do with the red wii?!
-
I thought maybe that, but there are no warnings anywhere, plus I have another site with a brand name in it which does fine!
-
I'm wondering if there is an issue with the fact that you are using brand names/trademarks in your url?
Do you have any warnings in your webmaster tools?
-
What does Google not like? It is indexed by Google. Are you not ranking for terms? Which ones?

SEO Elements for Canonicalized URLs?
I am helping a client with SEO for their ecommerce store. They have around 65 products, but close to 500 URLs all for those same products. Basically they have a bit of an index bloat problem but long story short restructuring was too much of a lift for them, so I got them set up with a canonical URL strategy to ensure all duplicate pages point to one "main" product page. Getting to the point: They also need an on-page overhaul. I've created keyword optimized titles, metas, H1s, etc. for each product. Do these elements need to be added to every single one of the 450+ product pages OR do I only need to add them to the 65 "main" product pages that everything else is pointing to, since that will ultimately be the page that gets crawled?

SEO - New URL structure
Hi, Currently we have the following url structure for all pages, regardless of the hierarchy: domain.co.uk/page, such as domain/blog name. Can you, please confirm the following: 1. What is the benefit of organising the pages as a hierarchy, i.e. domain/features/feature-name or domain/industries/industry-name or domain/blog/blog name etc. 2. This will create too many 301s - what is Google's tolerance of redirects? Is it worth for us changing the url structure or would you only recommend to add breadcrumbs? Many thanks Katarina

Some SEO 2016 questions
Hello MOZ Community, I have some questions where the following is still working for seo in 2016: Is an exact keyword in the domain still a good start? If a domain contains the most important keyword does one still need subfolders with that keyword in the url? Do you need multiple subpages so the main url becomes stronger? Is linkbuilding still the number one factor? Thank you for your thoughts!

Page speed in relation to SEO
I cannot seem to find any information about this, so I thought I would try to get a few people's opinion. How do you think pagespeed is measured in terms of Google using it as a ranking factor? Do you think they use their internal Pagespeed app? Something during the crawl? Your GA site speed?

Need Help With Robots.txt on Magento eCommerce Site
Hello, I am having difficulty getting my robots.txt file to be configured properly. I am getting error emails from Google products stating they can't view our products because they are being blocked, and this past week, in my SEO dashboard, the URL's receiving search traffic dropped by almost 40%. Is there anyone that can offer assistance on a good template robots.txt file I can use for a Magento eCommerce website? The one I am currently using was found at this site here: e-commercewebdesign.co.uk/blog/magento-seo/magento-robots-txt-seo.php - However, I am getting problems from Google now because of it. I searched and found this thread here: http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/multi-store_set_up/multiple_website_setup_with_different_document_roots#the_root_folder_robots.txt_file - But I felt like maybe I should get some additional help on properly configuring a robots for a Magento site. Thanks in advance for any help. Please, let me know if you need more info to provide assistance.
