Inbound Links Report Problem
-
While looking over my competitors inbound link report, they have a reported 5K inbound links.
The first 20 listed inbound domains are things like UPS, and other sites that when I look at them, and the source file has no link to their domain at all???
So are they using some kind of Black Hat technique, or is SEOMoz not reporting properly?
Help please.

Hi Wes.
Nick is right. Two steps for you to take:
1. Send an e-mail to help@seomoz.org and share the specific example
2. Check the site again on Wednesday. An OSE update is expected at some point on Tuesday and you should notice link changes for your sites by Wednesday.

Hi
I have seen this kind of thing before with strange files that don't make any sense from UPS and .gov sites and there was a discussion about it last week here: http://www.seomoz.org/q/weird-behaviour
In short, it was a glitch, but you may want to get in touch with SEOMoz support and let them know. I do think there are some odd ways of getting links have something to do with UPS and some Gov sites, but the explanation in the link above made me think it really was just a glitch.

Is the Moz Ranking Report correct?
Hello here, today I got my weekly report from Moz by email and it reported a strong decline of rankings on some of our major keywords. Then I went to check on Google personally, and instead I found my pages ranked much higher than reported by Moz (please note that my results wasn't personalized...). I also use a desktop program to check my rankings, and what I found personally on Google corresponded to what my desktop program reported me. Here is an example: my website is virtualsheetmusic.com, and Moz reported a rank NOT in top 50 for the following keyword: "moonlight sonata sheet music" Whereas we are actually on the 19th spot. Another example for the keyword "czardas violin sheet music", Moz reports NOT in top 50, whereas we are actually at the 5th spot on the first page of Google results! Why's this? Anyone can explain? Is there anything wrong with Moz ranking report?

Rankings Report - figures clarifiction
I've noticed a possible discrepancy with my data and the figures in the Ranking Report >> Rankings which leads to this question: In top 3 : 10 On first page: 19 Is this meant to mean 10 of the 19 are in the top 3, or after the 10 top 3 there are 19 more keywords on first page?

SEO moz poor rankings reporting
How are we supposed to send ranking reports to clients if the rankings are constantly reporting false metrics This is not the first time this has happened, but the rankings are WAAAAAAY off. What is the point of reporting rankings that are not accurate? What is the possible cause of this. Is there a solution? What is SEOmoz doing to improve their ranking programs. Our client actually ranked #2 for "northern Virginia HVAC contractors" when moz had us not in the top 50! How are we supposed to bank on information that is so consistently unreliable? northernvirginiahvaccontractors.png northernvirginiahvaccontractorsrank.png

Exporting Twitter and FB data in report
Hi Been with this tool for a few days now and enjoying it so far. I do have one query though. In the campaigns section we have various tabs of data, including Social. However while all the other data is exportable in the created report, social is not available to add to the custom reports. Why is this? When I click on the social tab I can download it in CSV but it would be good to be able to export the charts in pdf as per the other analysis data. Would make it much easier when sharing reports with clients. Are there any plans to make the social metrics addable to the custom reports one can create?

Best way to count number of inbound links to a subfolder?
What's the best way to count and track the number of inbound links to a subfolder like http://www.domain.com/folder ? I've tried using open site explorer but I can't seem to get it to show just inbound links for things under a subfolder. i.e. links to domain.com/folder domain.com/folder/subfolder etc. Thanks!
