How to get a quick idea of competition for large numbers of keywords
-
As I do a lot of keyword research for my clients, I've found the SEOmoz Keyword Difficulty tool a great way to dig deeper in the competitive data for important keywords, whenever I am at the point of choosing between a smaller number of keywords.
However, in some cases I would rather have a quick idea of how competitive a large list of keywords is (for example 1000+). As the Keyword Difficulty tool has a limit of 5 per run and 300 per day, I am looking for a technique or tool to run a list of keywords and get an idea of competitiveness for each keyword.
Thanks for any suggestions!

I found Market Samurai to be fairly useful for getting competition data on a few thousands of keywords. However, it is not as in-depth as SEOmoz KW difficulty tool.

Hi! We're following up on older, unanswered questions. Were you able to find any resources that met your needs? If so, can you post here so others can know about them when they search? Thanks!

This is my personal opinion, and others may disagree, but I find the more cometition on a PPC KW, the harder it is to rank in organic. The other piece of info you get is that the more competition, the better the potential return, as most competitrs are honing into their profitable KWs more.

Hi Rishi,
Thanks for the reply. Can you explain me how exactly PPC data will help to gauge the SEO competition for keywords?

SEM Rush is a pretty good tool outside the SEOmoz and google toolset...
Alternatively, run a PPC camaign for a day or two on the full set - will probably give you the most accurate data, instantly...

Keyword optimisation
I have a few questions regarding keywords that we are wanting to optimize on our site. This may be a bit basic so if this had already been answered elsewhere let me know. Question 1: How many time can I refer to the one word on different pages on the site ? Is there any rules around this? In theory the keywords we are looking to include will be relevant to these pages. **Question 2: ** Should I use different variation of the key word or is the one variant fine? Question 3: Looking at the search terms people use from google analytics to get to our site, there is a lot of people using the phrase “sliding windows New Zealand. Should I write this on the page exactly as “sliding doors New Zealand “ or is “sliding doors” fine? Its just that the former phrase doesn't really work with our communication. I look forward to your advice!

National keyword results v local keyword results
If the keyword contains the location term like "SEO company London" is it better to use the wider results over local? Additionally, some best practice examples of national v local result tracking would be great 🙂 Darren

How Can I Rank My One Keyword ?
I read many places about never use the same keywords/anchor text this will consider as spam by google, so i want to know if suppose my main keyword is Indian bridal sarees than how can i give rank to that keyword, should i use the same exact keyword but in different format like bridal indian sarees or indian bridal sarees shopping something like that. Should i use LSI keywords in that keywords. Please help Second, I also read some people saying they use 70% primary keywords and 30% LSI or generic words, so that mean if i have 10 articles so in 7 articles i have to give primary keyword and the rest of the 3 will be generic. Why are all my keywords rated "highly competitive"?
I am using the Keyword Analysis tool and it is telling me that almost all the keywords I put in are "highly competitive" even though there is very little competition on Google. Example: I enter the keyword "christian web designers" on Google, United Kingdom It then reports that this keyword is 53% Highly Competitive. However I Google this term in quotes and there is less then 4,000 results. I also enter this keyword into Traffic Travis which tells me the the difficulty is Relatively Easy. Am I doing something wrong here?

How do I figure out which keyword to optimize for?
What's up guys! We run a site for tennis players and courts in the whole country - http://www.tennisround.com/. People use the site to find a tennis partner at their skill level and send each other invites to set up matches, it's also used to find local tennis courts. The question is - Which keyword(s) should we optimize the site for and how? Cheers, Alex 7h1HKYL_jJ0 sYaQH 7h1HKYL_jJ0 sYaQH 7h1HKYL_jJ0
