Backlink: External blog Vs. Internal blog. Which is the best?
-
Hi,
some weeks ago a created a blog: mykeyword.wordpress.com Some one told me that it has got more trust that a "normal" www.mykeyword.com
Is it true? So, i wrote some articles and dropped a guide (linking inside to mysite.com) to blog.
My question is:
Right now i'm writing a lot of article ad i'm looking for the best channel where publish my content (post with link inside). My focus is improving quantity and quality of backlinks.Which way must i use?
1. Use my mykeyword.wordpress.com (give freshness to blog and new backlink)
2. Create ad internal blog mysite.com/blog and add article (without link?)
3. "Don't lose time" - Put new article only in external blog that will link to my site.I must manage a lot of new sites and i should increase SERP position. So, i have to choose the right way right now.
Thanks

If you simply want rankings: make guest posts on other blogs. As diverse as possible. Don't link with too much exact match keywords.
But make sure you have content on the websites you link to. If you have a very thin site with a lot of backlinks won't help your rankings. You need a site of "substance" to guest post to.

Thanks Yannick. But, If I should choose just one channel where put my articles (without loosing time and energy). Two way:
1. Looking for a external worth blog where publish my article (like a personal blog network)
2. Publish all article in internal blog (I must create it yet).I know, that question could be stupid but often i see people creating channel and content just because they must do!
My target is not rank a blog, but increase page that i created (Already all in first page).
So, what i need is backlink to those pages...I must do that for 5 sites, so you can guess how i have to split my time in a perfect way

I would stick to one internal blog instead of focusing on two. I have tried it before and writing blogs and getting links is super time consuming for even one site. I would put my best effort on one site and give it a 100% effort.

mykeyword.wordpress.com = a new website. That site needs to accumalate new google juice. So it will take a lot more time before it starts ranking and before that starts sending some nice juice to your site. It still is only 1 link from 1 ip address to your main site.
So I would blog on your main site domain.com/blog and do a guest post now and then. Make sure you do guest posts on different sites, to add to your IP diversity.

Blogs Not Getting Indexed Intermittently - Why?
Over the past 5 months many of our clients are having indexing issues for their blog posts.
Technical SEO | | JohnBracamontes
A blog from 5 months ago could be indexed, and a blog from 1 month ago could be indexed but blogs from 4, 3 and 2 months ago aren't indexed. It isn't consistent and there is not commonality across all of these clients that would point to why this is happening. We've checked sitemap, robots, canonical issues, internal linking, combed through Search Console, run Moz reports, run SEM Rush reports (sorry Moz), but can't find anything. We are now manually submitting URLs to be indexed to try and ensure they get into the index. Search console reports for many of the URLs will show that the blog has been fetched and crawled, but not indexed (with no errors). In some cases we find that the blog paginated pages (i.e. blog/page/2 , blog/page/3 , etc.) are getting indexed but not the blogs themselves. There aren't any nofollow tags on the links going to the blogs either. Any ideas? *I've added a screenshot of one of the URL inspection reports from Search Console alt text0 -

How to avoid duplicate content when blogging from a site
I have a wordpress plastic surgery website. I have a wordpress blog on the site. My concern is avoiding duplicate content penalties when I blog. I use my blog to add new information about procedures that have pages on the same topic on the main site. Invariably same keywords and phrases can appear in the blog-will this be considered Duplicate content? Also is it black hat to insert anchor text in a blog linking back to site content-ie internal link or is one now and then helpful

Mest method of creating internal links
I am curious, what is the best way to link things from an SEO perspective 1. Full Path; http://yoursite.com/links/alink/ 2. Absolute Path /links/yourlink/ 3. Relative Path ../yourlink/ Just curious if there has been any quantifiable data on this. Thanks Zach

Guest Blog Posts and PR
Let's say I do a guest blog post on a PR5 site. Let's also say the post is deep within the site, and the page rank that flows to it is only maybe PR1 or 2. Let's also say it doesn't get many links to it so it forever stays that way. Will Google realize even though the PR of that page is low, it's on a PR5 site, thus giving it more link power than it the overall site were a PR2 site? Did that make any sense?

Internal vs external blog and best way to set up
I have a client that has two domians registered - one uses www.keywordaustralia.com the other uses www.keywordaelaide.com He had already bought and used the first domain when he came to me I suggested the second as being worth buying as going for a more local keyword would be more appropriate. Now I have suggested to him that a blog would be a worthy use of the second domain and a way to build links to his site - however I am reading that as all links will be from the same site it wont be worth much in the long run and an internal blog is better as it means updated content on his site. should i use the second domain for blog, or just 301 the second domain to his first domain. Or is it viable to use the second domain as the blog and just set up an rss feed on his page ? Is there a way to have the second domain somehow 'linked' to his first domain with the blog so that google sees them as connected ? NOOBIE o_0

Using Thesis as blog platform vs. Tumblr
I read a lot of advantages by using Thesis as a platform for blogging, but I like the themes and other plugins from Tumblr. Are there equivalents at Tumblr to the Thesis benefits so I can go a head and go with Tumblr?
