Can I add NOFOLLOW or NOINDEX attribute for better organic ranking?
-
I am working on online retail store which is highly dedicated to Patio Umbrellas.
My website is on 2nd page of Google web search for Patio Umbrellas keyword.
I have one another internal page with Patio Umbrellas text link.
http://www.vistapatioumbrellas.com/21/patio-umbrellas.html
I assume that, Google have confusion to give rank for my keyword during Patio Umbrellas keyword.
I want to set NOFOLLOW attribute or NOINDEX FOLLOW meta for this page.
Will it help me to rank high for Patio Umbrellas keyword. My ultimate goal is to reduce confusion for Patio Umbrellas keyword.

It's sound interesting. I can go forward with Rel canonical...

Internal links with ancor text should'nt confuse the rank it rather "kill" the rank for the page with an outgoing link for that word.
Links will affect your rank though, work on accouring more quality links containing the ancortext "Patio Umbrellas".
I would'nt advice you to put NOFOLLOW or NOINDEX if you'r unsure rather use Canonical url it's a better solution.
Hope this helps.

Can’t put a finger on, what is causing 12 year domain, SEO optimized and decent link profile to rank lower than other less superior domains.
Can’t put a finger on, what is causing 12 year domain, SEO optimized and decent link profile to rank lower than other less superior domains. I have dissected the site and link, content, etc profile using ahrefs tools, still no luck, and unfortunately they do not have a community to ask anyone opinion. Hoping someone on Moz will be able to provide me with a secondary opinion or something I obviously missing here. Looking for any constructive feedback/professional opinion with fresh look on what maybe the cause of our down rankings and what may be a cause of it. Any feedback is very much appreciated. Ranking EMD to 301 for branding is it better to leave it as or 301 it?
We have a client about to enroll with us for SEO. The client has about 50 EMD sites, out of which 9 are ranking. An EMD has [Exact] match anchoring naturally, the sites in question are all EMDs the link profiles show it. The client wants to 301 the EMDs to a brand page.. We would want to 301, 9 EMD sites to the new site. Here is the thing, if the site domain has an exact match to the anchor text profile, when we 301 the page to www.brand.com/EMD will the link profile matter? One of the EMDs is on page one spot 2 if we do this change, will Google look at the new brand page (www.brand.com/EMD) as an unnatural link profile?

My ranking on some keywords is getting better . Now what about geography!
Hi, I finally got a better result on my ranking on specific keyword. Now, here is what I need to do. Just to place you in context, we have acquired 2 companies in Europe since last year ( One in the UK and one in France ) and our head office is in North America. Since our servers are located in NA, I realize the ranking will be better here on specific keywords than it is in the UK and France. I actually managed to get on the first page on google North America, but I am till very var in ranking in France and the UK. Where should I start to get a worldwide ranking ? I could start on the 2 geography mentionned but is there a strategy to get ranked worldwide ? Any help would be appreciated. Best regards,
