Google Keyword Tool Regional?
-
If you use the Google keyword tool while logged in to your Google profile, will the keyword tool attempt to show you regional or local suggestions?
-
The Keyword tool will not give you local or regional suggestions. You have to set it to do it. It will though assume a country and native language for you based on your profile information. You can reset all this depending on how refined you want your keyword research to be or how broad. See my image below:

Keyword Research tool time-effort equivalent
SEOMoz's keyword research tool is awesome, but what does the competitiveness actually mean in terms of time/effort? I've read the help file which is great but to get an idea, to rank for highly competitive keywords, is that 12 months of constant effort, link-building and keyword buying or more like 3 months? (how massive is massive?) I know its a hard question to answer, but an idea would be awesome. Thanks to anyone that can answer in advance...

Not Set Keywords
Hi, we have recently been working on our site's keywords and we have seen an increase in traffic. As I monitor my keywords, I see that the Not Set keyword has increased a great deal and now become my top keyword. I researched some but all I got is that users are bookmarking my page or using other avenues to reach my website. Can anyone give me a more concrete answer? Is this bad? Or is this a direct result of an increase in traffic. Any words of wisdom will be much appreciated, As you were...

How do you optimize for compound keywords
What is the best way to handle keywords like "switchplate covers"? The key word may be seen as either a 2 or 3 word phrase, depending how you handle the compound term: "switch plate" or "switchplate" In google KW it shows different results for switch plate vs switchplate as well as using cover vs covers. I've tried using all the variations in my descriptions, titles and H2s but I think this is diluting them all. Can anyone show me best practice guidelenes or examples of good solutions to these kinds of compound key words? Thanks Handcrafter
