Why am I not seeing an increase in external followed links?

Ive been getting some really good links pointing to my domain as of lately, and they appear to be followed links. yet the number of external followed links shown in my seomoz tool bar does not want to budge! nor do these links show up in site explorer! Is there a delay in the toolbars response-time? or could it be something else?

I think that's because it uses the LinkScape database, which is only updated about once every 4 weeks. The next update is suppose to be tomorrow so you might see a change by tomorrow evening (i'm not sure what time of day the update goes live). Re: How can i increase DA of my website? Someone told me giving out do-follow links from my site will reduce my site DA. I am not sure if this is true, but I recently noticed a drop in my two websites DA Insigh.ng and BusinessWorld.Arica. For the first one, Insight.ng, my DA was 26 before but dropped to 22. I have later been able to boost it to 24 tho. According to the person, he said giving do-follow links from my websites will reduce my DA. How to Link build for our site
Hello, A client of mine has a site that gives advice to people. It's moderately competitive. It's a content site. Using Open Site explorer, I looked up competitor's top pages and backlinks, and there were things such as sites that were heavy on directories, sites heavily on editorial mension, sites on juicy topics that I don't want to cover, and the rest was pretty much junk. Just so that you know, I only link build with quality websites that look strong, long term, have a nice design, are high quality, and are not a directory (with a few exceptions) What's the standard way to link build with a site like this? We've got 7 articles of good content that is from me spending hours learning about the subject and using my skills as a life coach. Right now I'm just adding quality content and social media. I am not a top expert in the field, but I'm learning as much as possible. How do we link build?

External Links through Open site explorer
I have just ran an Open site explorer query on our site due to having one of a constant ranking keywords drop, and found that we have 48 new links appear on the report under the anchor text 'home' These are not normal links, and I cannot see where or how these have been connected to our site for example: <colgroup span="1"><col span="1" width="696"></colgroup>

When does Open Site Explorer automatically follow a redirect?
Does anyone know what determines when Open Site Explorer will ask if you meant to type in the redirected URL or when it will automatically change the URL to the www version. example of a site I get asked the redirect question: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/comparisons.html?site=checkbook.org Oh Hey! Can I see search volumes against my keywords?
I love the keyword tracker tool on SEO Moz. However I can't work out how to see search volumes for each keyword. So while I know how I am ranking for each keyword.....I have to open a separate spreadsheet to see the local Google Monthly search volumes and then cross-refer the two, which is clumsy and time-consuming. Is there a way to amalgamate the two? It seems like such a major flaw that i'm sure its there, I can't work it out. Thanks all, Dan
