Google SERPs and NoIndex directives.

We have pages that have been added to robots.txt as url patterns in DisAllow. Also, we have the meta noindex tags on the pages themselves. But we are finding the pages in index. I don't think they are higher up in the rankings and they don't have any descriptions, any previews or any cached pages. Why does Google show these pages? Could it be due to internal or external linking?
-
We had the robots.txt changes & meta tags since the launch of these pages. We have internal links to these pages via <a>tags. So, should we remove the robots.txt disallows? Also, does adding nofollow on the links help?</a>
-
If Google is forbidden from lookiing at the content of the page by the robots.txt they will not see the meta noindex tag.
I added noindex tags to a couple of pages 2 days ago and they are already out of the index.

If you just added the tags then it may take time to drop them.
If you have not asked Google through Webmaster tools to remove these URLS I would make that my next step.

Homepage is deindexed in Google
We recently noticed that our primary page was de-indexed in Google. When looking in google search console there are no manual actions taken. We did add a few new banners to the site but I have no idea why this would have negatively affected that site. I did add a new page called https://enleaf.com/company/testimonials/ that had some duplicate testimonials that were also on the home page but have since removed that. Not sure where to go from here.

Google Publisher status
Hi all, I just wondered what the general opinion was with regard getting Google publisher status for medium to large organisations. Lots of our clients write a lot of articles & publications and it would be interesting to get some thoughts on how others view Authorship & in particular Publisher credentials. Thanks!

Http and https issue in Google SERP
Hi, I've noticed that Google indexing some of my pages as regular http, like this: http://www.example.com/accounts/ and some pages are being indexed as https, like this: https://www.example.com/platforms/ When I've performed site audit check in various SEO tools I got something around +450 pages duplicated and showing me pairs of the same URL pages, one time with http and one time with https. In our site there is the possibility for people to register and and open an account, later on to login to our website with their login details. In our company I'm not the one that is responsible for the site's maintenance and I would like to know if this is an issue, and if this is an issue - to know what causing it and how to fix it so I'll be able to forward the solution to the person in charge. Additionally I would like to know in general, what is the real purpose of https vs. http and to know what is the preferred method that our website should use. Currently when URLs are typed manually to the address bar, all the URLs are loading fine - with or without https written at the start of each URL. I'm not allowed to expose our site's name, this is why I wrote example.com instead, I hope you can understand that. Thank you so much for your help and I'm looking forward reading your answers.

Not ranking on Google
Hi all, I am optimising a site which is a hotel directory for a small island in the Mediterranean - Malta. The site is www.maltahotelsonline.com. I did a keyword research and optimised the page. However I am now at link building stage. Since we do not have many links the site is still not ranking very well for the desired keywords (ranking fine on Bing and Yahoo yet not on Google). As a result there isn't much traffic on the site. 1. Is there any particular issue that you can spot on this site that is not allowing it to rank well on Google? 2. Any suggestions on link-building please?

My sitemap.xml was appearing in the google serp for certain keywords (& not my actual page onsite). Please see image. User-agent: * Disallow: /assets/cache/ Disallow: /assets/docs/ Disallow: /assets/export/ Disallow: /assets/import/ Disallow: /assets/modules/ Disallow: /assets/plugins/ Disallow: /assets/snippets/ Disallow: /manager/ Disallow: /sitemap.xml Sitemap: http://bryansryan.ie/sitemap.xml Any suggestions what should be done here? thanks. nQo2g.png
