Why did I drop off the face of the earth for bing but am #1 in google and yahoo?
-
This just happened two days ago and I don't get it. I have been using rank tracker.
-
It is odd for you to be listed as #1 in Yahoo but not listed in Bing. Can you please share your site URL and the keyword involved?
-
One more thing, do you have access to a proxy (i.e. HMA?) I was seeing wildly different results in rank tracker by my own ip vs others. Maybe you can tell us the domain and I can look it up to see what results I get?

Try adding some out going links to some authority sites inside of some content not sidebar or footer links. I have tried this on a clients site in the finance niche and got a 6% percent increase in traffic from Bing without making any other changes.
I used the name of the sites I linked too (mostly banks not competing dorectly with my clients sites for same keywords) as the anchor text for the links.

I've experienced the same issue recently. No bounce back as yet. But not all hat bothered, as Google still going strong and in the UK it accounts for approx. 94% market share for search engines.

This happened to a few of my sites last week, just completely dropped of the face of Bing for two or three days, no rankings and not even in the index. Then magically came back. The sites it happened to were unrelated and on different servers. I don't have an explanation or any advice but to make sure your sitemaps etc are all good in Bing Webmaster Tools. Hope your sites bounce back like mine did.

Google has a penalty on my website? How to resolve?
I recently purchases Moz pro, hoping to find out why my website isn't ranking on specific keywords. I'm done analytics on myself and my competition and it seems that I rank better than them on 95% of the categories (using OpenSiteExplorer and keyword research tools). So I purchases Moz Pro hoping I'd find the glaring error in my ways. I found a few small issues I was having, and have dealt with them. Overall however, they were small issues, and have led me to believe Google as a penalty in place for my website (SEO friend have also suspected this). In my Google Webmaster tools, nothing is marked under Manual Actions. So does anyone have a way to contact Google and have them directly look at my website to insure there is no errors in their system?

Page Authority and Google updates favouring websites with black hat practices ?
Can someone explain how is it that most of the competitors I have online and that rank in first page of the search results almost entirely get links ( in the thousands) and still have higher or equal domain/page authority than mine? I went 1 by 1 checking all their links and they mostly come from sex pages, and non related sites. I say stop creating angry pandas and penguins and start taking out of the game people that just play dirty. Thanks.

Why don't Google+ URL's work in OSE?
Is there any reason why Google+ URLs does not work in OSE? Is it just that it is a secure URL or is there something bigger there? Why? Be cool to determine every website the person has been published on; especially if it is rel="author" verified. Jeff

Can Google see all the pages that an seomoz crawl picks up?
Hi there My client's site is showing around 90 pages indexed in Google. The seomoz crawl is returning 1934 pages. Many of the pages in the crawl are duplicates, but there are also pages which are behind the user login. Is it theoretically correct to say that if a seomoz crawl finds all the pages, then Google has the potential to as well, even if they choose not to index? Or would Google not see the pages behind the login? And how come seomoz can see the pages? Many thanks in anticipation! Wendy

Did anyone else see "Rel Canonical" drop to zero after their latest SEOmoz crawl?
In the Crawl Diagnostics section of the SEOmoz reports, we get errors in red, warnings in yellow, and notices in blue. After my latest crawl, I saw the "Rel Canonical" part go from about 300 down to 0. Obviously, this isn't right, so I'm wondering if this is a bug that everyone is experiencing. U9W5I

Links from External Sites not Showing on OpenSite or Google Webmaster Tools
Hi, I asked this in another post, but didn't get a solid answer. For several websites I manage, I have access to their Google Webmaster Tools. When I put the site through there, or the link:// or SEOMoz's OpenSite link reporter, I get not even a fraction of the links that I know are pointing to the websites in question. Some of these links are from home pages or side columns, and some are from articles keep within a website, like at Inc.com. I wondered if the links in question were not themselves being indexed, but if I do a very specific search, I can pull them up in the search results. Is it just common knowledge that these link tools are not accurate? And to assume that somehow, search engines really do see all of the inbound links, even if our reporting tools don't. Thanks in advance!
