-
I am glad to join seomoz,I am from China, the seomoz is a famous seo service provider company, some reason is one seoer guru named zac introduce seomoz to Chinese seor.
So I think if seomoz provider seo tools or service to chinese seoer is a good idea. The market is very big.But chinese biggest SE is www.baidu.com,not google. There is something diffrent from baidu and google.
My site is www.cn-sen.com, It's good performance at google with the keyword "除湿机",but it's have some trouble at baidu.I think the content of website is the main reason.and internal link is not good.
Could someone give me some advise of seo to make my site better performance?
thanks very much.

I would be curious to see some answers on optimising for baidu (apart from needing to learn Chinese!)
I assume most of the principles would be the same:
- Unique <title>per page</span></li> <li><span style="color: #5e5e5e;">Unique <meta description> per page</span></li> <li><span style="color: #5e5e5e;">Maybe some of the category pages need a better description: <a href="http://www.cn-sen.com/category-18.html">http://www.cn-sen.com/category-18.html</a></span></li> <li>Optimise the URLs to have keywords (maybe Baidu has smarts where it can translate English to Chinese)</li> </ul> <p>Hope that helps a little...</p></title>

Looks good from the outside, however i dont understand Chinese whatsoever. But i think it would make your site better to add the English translator script as English is the default language online. Internationally, your site is not useful, however for China it may be, i dunno as i cannot understand a single thing there.
Or use a GEO script which will redirect your visitors appropiately. This wouldn't be a bad idea either.
That's my 2 cents worth. Good luck!

Using .ag for agriculture site with global targeting
Would using .ag with a short punchy domain like farm.ag, that was targeting a global audience be a wise decision? Versus say an 11 character descriptive ".com". Is there any benefit to using a ".ag" if the site is for agriculture? Note, this is a heavy content site so SEO important, with plans to serve different languages later.

Need help with search results for US site for a compnay that has many international sites
I am tasked with optimizing a US site for a company that has many international sites. Currently, if you search for just the main company name and don't include "USA" in your search, it won't even give you the US site on the SERP. It displays the Italian, French, etc etc sites - even though I'm searching on Google in the US with a preferred language of Engilsh. Unfortunately I don't have any control over the other sites, only the US one. Is there anything I can add to the US site (aside from setting the country code in GSC) so that when someone searches from within the USA, they get the US site and not all of the other ones? thanks!

Currently my setup has the following: English (default) desktop page has these: English Mobile page has these: Spanish Desktop version: Spanish Mobile version: But I somewhat feel that I messed the things... Could you guys point me to what I did wrong and explain how to set it right? Also, if you know URLs of blog posts or articles, where similar case is explained - share with me please.

How to handle rel canonical on secondary TLD's - multi regional sites.
I currently have a .com domain which I am think of duplicating the content on to another tld, CO.UK (and regionalize some aspects like contact numbers etc). From my research, it seems that in gwt you must then indicate which country you wish to target, in the co.uk case the UK. My question is how should I handle rel canonical in the duplicated site. should it rel canonical back to the .com or the co.uk? Any other pointers would also be appreciated. Thx

Why is GoogleBot crawling our German site and rendering it in English.
We have a German website at (http://de.pa.com) and we can't get the search engines to index the site in German language. For some reason the GoogleBot, BingBot, etc are crawling de.pa.com and displaying English text on the SERP. I've tried testing via web-sniffer.net and Google Webmaster tools which both are crawling de.pa.com in English. We know the page titles/meta descriptions are in English which we are updating to German, but I'm curious to why search engines are indexing our German site and displaying on the SERP as English text when the entire content of the site is in German. Thank you, Brian

Alexa Rank and Linking from Article sites.
We are creating unique content and submitting our articles to article sites. I have some questions about the best way to go about this. 1. We are being very careful to create unique content for each submission - so we are not submitting the same article to multiple sites. Each submission is unique, so 1 article per 1 article directory. 2. When I did my research about these article sites at Alexa.com, I noticed that a lot of the article sites are ranking very well globally, but that a lot of them are #1 in Alexa for India. They are still ranked for other countries with very top ranking, for example, they may 9,000 Alexa rank in India and then 18,000 in the U.S. which is still very high. 3. We are trying to reach U.S. customers mostly, so I am wondering if we are still getting value by linking to these sites who have global reach (even though they are ranked best for India). I would think that this is very beneficial still, but I didn't want to get the wrong kind of traffic by getting links from sites that are primarily getting their traffic from India, even though they are also getting tons of traffic from the U.S. - I am assuming this is OK because a 18,000 or 19,000 Alexa Rank in the U.S. is still excellent and I will benefit by this. But I wanted to be sure. Feedback?

Geo Targeting for Similar Sites to Specific Countries in Google's Index
I was hoping Webmaster Tools geo targeting would prevent this - I'm seeing in select google searches several pages indexed from our Australian website. Both sites have unique TLDs: barraguard.com barraguard.com.au I've attached a screenshot as an example. The sites are both hosted here in the U.S. at our data center. Are there any other methods for preventing Google and other search engines from indexing the barraguard.com.au pages in searches that take place in the U.S.? dSzoh.jpg
